yup, Mike is San francisco getting his hands dirty. He is also working on the next Fanotmas. No words on Tomahawk. Mike shaved his head, he look like a fucking pshyco.
i would like to see patton doing something really diffrent this time, i have all cds and the last ones its very equal and obvious compared with the old ones. He is doing the same things with differents covers. like the project with kaada, suspended animation and general patton. its the same old stuffs with a new cover!!!!!. te same effects and ideas. i would like to listen something really great this time.
I don’t think his releases are similar. I think they’re all pretty different. Especially Fanômas. I think he has managed to keep it fresh everytime. Each album had a very different feel. But as for Peeping Tom. I’d love to see it happen. I hope he doesn;t change the feel of the music to much from the demos he released a while back. But as others have said… I’ll believe it when I see it.
Giulio, i would like to say that the ideas of the albums are the same. but he did it in a different way….its like different sounds to the same idea. i love all of them but am really expecting something different with peeping tom and i would like to listen a new tomahawk album with long songs too…not an album with 35 min of songs.
alright, I’m gonna have to disagree with the assertion that Patton keeps putting out the same stuff over and over.
each Fantomas release, while maintaining the chemistry of the band, is distinctly different from the one before it. (which says a lot considering that the last two were done simultaneously) I don’t see how you can say that the ideas are the same. Sure, maybe the feel of the band itself is the same, but that’s the case for pretty much every band in existance unless they go through some major change (singers for example). Hell, each album has completely different themes. The first one is comic/sci-fi, the Director’s Cut is suspense/soundtrack pieces, Delirium Cordia is surgical, and Suspended Animation is cartoon-themed. I’d have to say that’s different ideas.
And with Tomahawk, that’s not even really Mike’s band in the capacity that Fantomas is. Tomahawk’s more Duane Denison’s thing. And even then, the songs from album to album have a different feel.
I have just about everything that Mike’s ever put out, and I still don’t have two cds that sound like his collaborations with the X-ecutioners or Kadaa.
And who cares about song length!? Have you listened to an album by the Locust? Those things are the shortest albums ever. And they’re brilliant. Some of the most boring albums I have are the long ones. I can only listen to about half of Tools’ Lateralus before I start nodding off. And don’t even get me started on the last few albums Metallica’s put out.
Sure, at a little over 40 minutes each (yeah, I just checked) they could’ve stuck both Tomahawk cds on the same disc, but so what? The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s is a few seconds shy of being 40 minutes long, and I’ve never heard anyone complain about the length of it.
Thiago, Yeah I do agree in a way.. I do think that if he tries to keep the same feel as the Peeping Tom demos it will be a great release… and I would love to hear some new Tomahawk too.
I agree that Mike needs to do something similar to the PT Demos. I, along with the rest of you, have complained numerous times about the constant delays of this project, but I remember another project that was constantly delayed to the point of tedium: California. Some of the times, you’re rewarded for your patience.
“Desperate Situation” on the Peeping Tom demos is a Marvin Gaye cover and I just love that song. Hopefully Patton keeps Peeping Tom poppy and catchy.
It`s certain that it will be different from the demos. Patton said so on some interview.
Jamie, I’m glad SOMEONE said something about quality over quantity. It’s something that definitely needs attention from certain people. I also agree with what you say about Fantomas EXCEPT the first album and Suspended Animation. Those two albums ARE similar to me. In fact, upon first listening to Suspended Animation, I was SURPRISED that Patton would repeat himself in certain parts. Hell, even in interviews during the first album, Patton would talk about how he was not doing lyrics but more like baby talk. That baby talk is what became part of this new theme to Suspended Animation. So just because one is comic-book themed and one is children’s-calendar themed, I don’t think it hides the fact that these two albums are very alike.
And don’t get me wrong…the last third (April 20 – April 30) of Suspended Animation is GREAT. April 3 is fantastic too.
I agree Mike, If I was to say any two fantomas albums were alike it would be the first and last…
And I DO expect the peeping tom release to be different from the demos. Like I highly doubt he will redo the songs he did in the demos. But it would be nice if they still had that same pop feel. I mean that was the original idea in the first place. If he was to release an album that sounded like Fantomas and slapped the name Peeping Tom on it. No matter how good of an album it is I would be dissapointed.
Well Fantomas is so obviously ’semi art kinda music out of the bowels of doom’. Yeah it’s something freaky and shit but come on… if they want to do that freak stuff then why not sometimes do something basic stuff. You know. There is so much talent in these guys that it really feels like a waste when they just mix different moods together. It feels like there’s 100 albums on one. Why not make something “simple” for fans for a change?
well…guys the point is…patton did excellent stuffs…with crazy things, exploring different ideas or maybe putting the same feeling in old ideas. ok …they era all differents ok?. but if you listen all the things that he did before (all mr bungle stuffs, first of fantomas, solo albums, weird little boy, maldoror) and listen the last ones like the project with kaada, suspended animation and general patton you will see that this last stuffs are all foreseeable but in the same way are different. and if you listen the last song of romances you will listen parts of director’s cut.
And the thing about the songs length, sometimes just one minite or 30 seconds can put more quality in the songs. that was what i talked about the tomahawk stuffs. the songs doesn’t need to be so long as in tool’s masterpiece lateralus, but sometimes some seconds can help a lot.
sure that the quality is more important that the quantity, but sometimes the quantity can help in the quality of the record. not always, but for me that’s the case of the last tomahawk album.
But anyway i love all of them and i can’t wait to listen peeping tom in 2006.
chuck moseley? chuck moseley made faith no more an average and maybe annoying band, patton made faith no more a legend. what tha fuck do you need moseley for??? he was kicked out of the band for a reason you know?
hee hee, yeah, the first Fantomas album and Suspended Animation ARE very similar. I was just pointing out that THEMATICALLY they are different. Sonically, if you take out the sound effects, they are very similar. But I still love them. I was just pointing out how they can take the same kinda source for this stuff and change it subtley and it’s still great and fresh even if they may be doing something very similar to something they’ve already done.
The way I look at it is this:
We are very fortunate to be blessed with stuff like Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, Tomahawk, Lovage, etc. etc. Why not try to enjoy what we have while we do?
I seem to remember certain camps bashing either FNM or Mr. Bungle while both bands were alive, and NOW???? Just be happy the dude’s still doing ANYTHING and that it’s as good as it is.
I’ll tell you right now, from the standpoint of being an artist, nothing is more fulfilling than making something for yourself or something you’re proud of than making some shlock your fans will dry-hump for eternity. Based on my experiences, if I had to deal with the crap and the demands that Patton’s fans try to foist on him, I’d have freakin’ retired a long time ago if I even cared what they thought.
…which probably explains why he does exactly what he does and how he does it…
You know, I’m so tired of Mosely-bashing. At least the guy had his own voice. Yeah, technically he sucks and hasn’t much capability but he never tried to sound like another singer. I’d take him ANY day over that guy from Creed or Collective Soul or some shit. Those singers fuckin piss me off.
Like Axl Rose is a friggin dirt bag and his higher-octave voice is whiney but at least he’s his own thing.
You know what the similarities are among Mosely and Patton though? Neither of them seemed to care for Faith No More the way Gould, Puffy, and Bottum did. They were the core of that band and I’d probably go after anything they put together with anybody.
Actually, that’s a good poll question (it’s too bad we can’t do those on here). If you had your choice of picking a singer for Faith No More and it COULDN’T be a former singer, who would you choose?
I’d probably choose either Brandon Boyd from Incubus or Kate Pierson from the B-52’s…although I can’t picture her doing the rapping/screaming. But damn, I love their voices.
hee hee, Brandon!!! It’s funny you should mention him and Scott Stap (Creed) because they have an identical stage presence. Nothing was more embarrassing than watching Incubus try to follow Mr. Bungle at Sno Core 2000 in DC. I was really looking forward to seeing Incubus too. What a letdown.
I hope that fnm wont ever regroup. It´s always tragic when old dinosaur-bands is doing their reunion tour. It´s never as good as it used to be… It´s all just nostalgia. Their all great musicians and I love to hear new work from Gould for example… Maybe some of them could team up and do new stuff together but fnm is dead…
Well, whatever. Slam me if you will. I like Boyd’s tonality and pitch control. I guess I register a difference between ripping off technique versus ripping off tonality. Those guys I mentioned from Creed and Collective Soul actually fuck up their mouth/throat shape to sound like Vedder or Steeley or whoever. Boyd may have ripped off Patton’s technique but I don’t hear him trying to actually sound like Patton’s voice. Besides, that technique is not just done by Patton. Keidis did it too around the same time. Although I swear Keidis is friggin tone deaf.
It’s definately going to happen! Have you heard the demos? They are some of the best sounds he’s ever produced, and he does it all. I don’t know if he would want people listening to it before it’s done but i downloaded some of them from limewire. That april 1rst joke fooled me too for about a minute and then when he said it was going to be too hard i was like what the fuck!, i knew something wasn’t right.
Thiago, your an idiot! Those 3 records you mentioned. general patton, kaada/patton, and suspended animation sound nothing alike. You should go back and listen to them again or get you hearing checked or go listen to enrique iglesias
It’s not that patton is repeating himself, He’s an individual with certain character traits that constantly remain the same. He just applies new ideas in a logical progression each time.
Shit, if FNM had to have a new Vocalist, I’d have to go with the Beastie Boys…they might be able to pull it off properly…heh…’specially the circa Check Your Head/Sabotage era…I’d check that out.
nah dude, I’m not going to slam you. If you enjoy Brandon/Incubus, then kudos to you. A LOT of my friends love ‘em too. Hell, at one time I was way into them, but I’m telling you, seeing them live that one time killed it for me.
Same thing for RHCP. I had LOVED those guys for years, so when they came to Roanoke VA, I jumped all over it. Imagine my disappointment when they were absolutely terrible. Keidis can’t carry a tune in a bucket and I’ve since been told that they have to pitch-shift his vocals in the studio to get him near the note. Which, I don’t know for a FACT, but after that performance, I’d tend to believe it.
…of course, them following the Foo Fighters and Muse might also be another factor in the disappointment factor there because both bands absolutely rocked RHCP off the stage.
If you want suck the patton’s balls i don’t care. that was my opinion. and i don’t give a f*ck about my grammar, i’m not american and i don’t need to learn it right, except when i’m inveighing you …….american idiot.
if patton get a cd with sounds of gas from the bowels, you are the type of people that will call it masterpiece.
OK, I know this isn’t related to any of this and I apologize but…
My band SLEEPRUNNER is in a battle of the bands online (we need votes) and we’ve been sitting on the same percentage of votes while a friggin Ramones tribute band is crawling up behind us. Seeing as how you people have similar taste in music as my band does, perhaps you might be interested in sending some votes our way?
Well to get back on topic… Im looking forward to Peeping Tom very much, also incase none of you have heard it I just discovered the Mike Patton song that was released on the Freddy Vs Jason soundtrack, pretty cool.
Anyway, any1 know where I can get the Peeping Tom demoes?
I didn’t say that i wanted to suck Mike pattons’ balls, and what does inveighing you mean? Obviously we’ve learned who the real idiot is. Also if i came to a foreign country i would learn the language but that’s just me. Also, Not everything john Zorn puts out is good but most of it is fucking genius!
ok sam…i won’t discuss with you anymore. i have better things to do. i just would like to say something to put an end with this: CALA SUA BOCA E VAI TOMAR NO CÚ SEU FILHO DA PUTA.
back to the topic: i really would like to listen good music on the next patton project. something really new and different.
it’s real simple kids: if you don’t like it, DON’T listen to it.
there are certain bands that I used to like a lot that I don’t like anymore for whatever reason. Anyway, I don’t waste my time whining about them on sites pertaining to them. I just don’t support them. If you don’t like the way Patton’s going, don’t buy his albums, don’t go to his shows, and don’t post on websites related to him. Those of us that enjoy it and show up will appreciate your absence.
This one’s for “Eetu” if you still check this board. Thanks for posting that track five of the Peeping Tom Demos is a Marvin Gaye cover. I own alot of his stuff, so I was dubious that something that damn catchy would have been excluded from the 4-disc box set I have. Turns out it’s on some never-before released rarieties album. Listening to Patton’s version I assumed, if it was a cover, it might be from Stevie Wonder. Anyway, if this is the kind of pop sensibility that’s inspiring this album, then it’s gonna be sublime. I might even be able to finally get some of my ex’s (who never seemed to share in my enthusiasm for Patton’s work…maybe that’s why they’re ex’s) to finally admit this guy is our generation’s Pavoratti meets Mel Blank meets Tom Waits genius extrordinaire.
Although I think most Fantomas stuff is fantastic it is really frustrating some times eg on April 3rd (Ithink) once the electronic voice counts to five there is such an awesome riff that its crying out out to be sampled and put in something with some structure.
Same with the start of 4 or 5 – wish I knew how to be a mixer/producer.
I know this “all over the place” theme cool in some cicles but for me in does my head in I must admit.
Never heard PT stuff but sounds like alot of people like it so cant wait.

“The last show of faith no more in Portugal April 7 – 1998
link of the ticket =)
I want that show so freakin bad…is there a dvd of it somewhere?
I don’t have the dvd or video but i remember the show (my country is Portugal) and i have in audio cd and it’s not very hard to find ’somewhere’ to download it
The influence of peeping tom will be massive attack, it sounds pretty much like trip-hop sound with some weird crap usual in patton, and mike became closer to Del Naja and one song of the next massive attack album will have the voice of you guys know..
It doesnt matter what Patton does, he rocks it all. As for Peeping Tom, I believe it will happen because he really likes where he was going with it, and when they pull and idea and start it back up i never have been disappointed…they all eventually come out and he always does what he is planning.
as for the headshaving..i wasnt a big fan of that during King For A Day. He needs to grow it out and do something different than he has the past 5 years…blonde was a change (speaking of, GIVE ME FUCKIN FIRECRACKER!!!).
about the year 1995, in a tour with faith no more, in chile, patton was with his head shaved, all over, Dean Menta (the rody from the band in that times, cuz the stupid replace of Trey Spruance) was the same too, if u wanna see it look for photos on stephan negele s site
I think we should wait a little,Peeping Tom could be a joke bigger than video Macumba, and It’s for sure than its release will be harder than other ones, If mike doesn’t make it finally we must kick his ass, It’s not well if your big master leaves you waiting that long.
I dont quite understand why everyone is so into Fantomas. I thought the Delirium Cordia album I purchased was a big dissapointment, and although I like some of the songs I heard off Directors Cut, none of it compares to Bungle or FNM.
I think a lot of it has to do with the shows. Seeing Fantomas live changes everything. …or at least it did for me. It took me a really long time to get into that first album, but seeing them perform that stuff changed it all for me. Plus watching them blow Tool off the stage in 2001, there aren’t many bands that can do that.
As for Delirium Cordia, it’s still my favorite Fantomas album. Listen to that thing with headphones on in the dark. You can actually feel the bone-scraping in your jaw.
they just played songs from the last album, suspended animation, except for 2 or 3 songs from director’s cut and some parts of delurium cordia. but they said in a interview that they just played the songs one time before the show. And the show got a lot of improvisation (really crazy stuffs) .
lombardo wasn’t there. and Terry Bozzio was with a giant-extremely-big drums. mike portnoy is probably jealous. hehehe
I saw Fantomas in Paris (Le Bataclan) in May this year – my cousin lives in Paris and told me that there was coverage of the concert on French TV. I was back home in England at this point and missed it…..AAAAGGGHHHHH!!! Has anyone seen this on the internet? By the way, just gotta mention……NEWCASTLE UNITED 1, ARSENAL 0!!!!! Haway the lads!!!!
They were recorded to show record companies that Patton could write and perform poppy stuff. The actual songs and lyrics will not appear on a Peeping Tom-album.
But of course, nothing is writ in stone with Patton

A demo is exactly that. To show what you or your band is capable of. Therefore they are demos.
Favourite album with Patton on… after much thought its between FNM Angel dust and Bungle California…. California just wins I think, awesome album, changed my life!. Probably predictable answer but true.
What about least favourite albums with Patton on…. mines Themes for the adult voice without doubt and Delirium Cordia.
I have to admit, King for a day was the last FNM album I got into, but it’s evolved into what is easily my favorite FNM album. You get a little bit of everything with King for a Day and I have the suspicious feeling that Trey’s guitar work doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. Not to mention, that the B-sides from that album, especially the covers “Greenfields” and “Spanish Eyes” are sublime. While, on the other hand, I loved Album of the year when it first came out, but, for me at least, it hasn’t held up so well.
I think Angel Dust captured the band at their peak, although I do love KFAD and Album Of The Year, and also prefer Spruance and Hudsons guitar playing, Angel Dust, when it came out was so different and daring to anything else being released at the time and showed they were about making new music and not so much about making millions of $. Also cos I couldnt hear Caffeine enough times.
Ha ha you said it Mark Bowen!
Least favourite for me would be the Kaada thing – its not too bad in patches but just not for me. I’ve got SA and DC by Fantomas are great just wish there was a bit more structure on SA – sorry but thats about as far as I can handle with the “experimental” type of albums. So I expect I would hate his first album “Something Oltransista”? cos i’ve heard its justr mad noises and not really music.
Back to the KFAD album it is great and easily the most sing-a-long-able but reckon thgen songs on AD and AOTY are more interesting to listen to as there are more aspects to them.
I love Absolute Zero and other top b sides they did.
Yeah I agree with most of these. It seems most people would rather hear Pattons time spent creating challenging but also listenable stuff. The amount of times I’ve bought a new Patton cd home in the hope there will be at least one track that blows me away and am sorely dissapointed. Like I said i’m all up for being challenged but usually just end up feeling like a mug. Looking foward to new Tomahawk album.
Hey #1Bunglefan you said you were @ the Warsaw in brooklyn on the 28th of Dec right?? I was there too! He took my phone to make a call to Poland and then him and Rahzel were talking to my bf right there on stage. The Warsaw was awesome, what did you think??

I really love that soul song on the demo, “it’s a desperate situation” or whatever he sings… I hope he fills the album with that kind of stuff.
October 30th, 2005 at 1:18 PM
Please can someone link a picture of Mike Patton with a shaved head?
October 30th, 2005 at 6:43 PM
There’s a video of FNM doing Portishead’s “Glorybox” where he’s got a shaved head, i think…
October 31st, 2005 at 8:56 AM
“Desperate Situation” on the Peeping Tom demos is a Marvin Gaye cover and I just love that song. Hopefully Patton keeps Peeping Tom poppy and catchy.

November 2nd, 2005 at 10:49 PM
chuck moseley? chuck moseley made faith no more an average and maybe annoying band, patton made faith no more a legend. what tha fuck do you need moseley for??? he was kicked out of the band for a reason you know?
November 3rd, 2005 at 6:36 AM
hee hee, yeah, the first Fantomas album and Suspended Animation ARE very similar.
…which probably explains why he does exactly what he does and how he does it…
November 3rd, 2005 at 5:19 PM
November 3rd, 2005 at 6:05 PM
Brandon Boyd? But he’d only sound like a Mike Patton ripoff like he did on Fungus Amongus and S.C.I.E.N.C.E.!
November 3rd, 2005 at 7:11 PM
So maybe he can have a coach in the background saying like “To be yourself is all that you can do.”
November 3rd, 2005 at 7:14 PM
Fungus Amongus…that’s a really 3rd-grade title
November 4th, 2005 at 5:50 AM
all music from incubus is from 3rd grade but papa roach is from kindergarten =D
November 4th, 2005 at 10:26 AM
Brandon Boyd? god no.
i wouldnt really care baout FNM without the frontman antics/abilities of mike. irreplaceable
its all about the attitude
November 4th, 2005 at 10:34 AM
hee hee, Brandon!!!
November 5th, 2005 at 6:12 AM
I hope that fnm wont ever regroup. It´s always tragic when old dinosaur-bands is doing their reunion tour. It´s never as good as it used to be… It´s all just nostalgia. Their all great musicians and I love to hear new work from Gould for example… Maybe some of them could team up and do new stuff together but fnm is dead…
November 6th, 2005 at 10:24 AM
Well, whatever. Slam me if you will. I like Boyd’s tonality and pitch control. I guess I register a difference between ripping off technique versus ripping off tonality. Those guys I mentioned from Creed and Collective Soul actually fuck up their mouth/throat shape to sound like Vedder or Steeley or whoever. Boyd may have ripped off Patton’s technique but I don’t hear him trying to actually sound like Patton’s voice. Besides, that technique is not just done by Patton. Keidis did it too around the same time. Although I swear Keidis is friggin tone deaf.
November 6th, 2005 at 10:52 AM
Boyd kicks ass. Best Patton ripoff ever.
November 6th, 2005 at 11:53 AM
I wish I heard the TONE of your last comment. I don’t quite know how to take it.
November 6th, 2005 at 6:24 PM
It’s definately going to happen! Have you heard the demos? They are some of the best sounds he’s ever produced, and he does it all. I don’t know if he would want people listening to it before it’s done but i downloaded some of them from limewire. That april 1rst joke fooled me too for about a minute and then when he said it was going to be too hard i was like what the fuck!, i knew something wasn’t right.
November 6th, 2005 at 6:27 PM
Thiago, your an idiot! Those 3 records you mentioned. general patton, kaada/patton, and suspended animation sound nothing alike. You should go back and listen to them again or get you hearing checked or go listen to enrique iglesias
November 6th, 2005 at 6:29 PM
I heard mike shaved his balls too! and he’s selling the hair on ebay, or you can get it free with the computer he’s selling.
November 6th, 2005 at 6:31 PM
Well said jamie.
November 6th, 2005 at 6:32 PM
What happened to theo???!!!
November 6th, 2005 at 6:35 PM
It’s not that patton is repeating himself, He’s an individual with certain character traits that constantly remain the same. He just applies new ideas in a logical progression each time.
November 6th, 2005 at 6:38 PM
Thiago, you should take a grammar class.
November 6th, 2005 at 6:40 PM
Was that really chuck mosely? You have about 1% of the talent of Mike patton. Think about it.
November 6th, 2005 at 6:42 PM
Brando boyd should definately forward a % of his royalty checks to Patton.
November 6th, 2005 at 6:44 PM
Jamie, your from Washington D.C? I’m from that area too. Bowie, md. You seem pretty cool.
November 7th, 2005 at 8:42 AM
Shit, if FNM had to have a new Vocalist, I’d have to go with the Beastie Boys…they might be able to pull it off properly…heh…’specially the circa Check Your Head/Sabotage era…I’d check that out.
November 7th, 2005 at 1:03 PM
nah dude, I’m not going to slam you.
November 7th, 2005 at 2:42 PM
Faith No More will be returning for a reunion tour/possibly album within the next 2-3 years. Everyone but Jim has confirmed. I’ll keep you posted.
November 7th, 2005 at 7:49 PM
lol right…
November 8th, 2005 at 4:38 AM
Notice how there’s no link for “Informed Source”
Very smart.
No trace to the bullshit.
November 8th, 2005 at 7:38 AM
hahahahhahaha
anyone wanna buy some swamp land in Florida while we’re at it?
November 8th, 2005 at 10:03 AM
And Mr bungle Informed Source ? 15 years the next album/reunion ?
November 8th, 2005 at 4:32 PM
I heard Mosely and Patton will tour together in Pakistan in 2006.
November 9th, 2005 at 6:55 AM
To SAM KIRBY:
If you want suck the patton’s balls i don’t care. that was my opinion. and i don’t give a f*ck about my grammar, i’m not american and i don’t need to learn it right, except when i’m inveighing you …….american idiot.
if patton get a cd with sounds of gas from the bowels, you are the type of people that will call it masterpiece.
November 9th, 2005 at 12:33 PM
OK, I know this isn’t related to any of this and I apologize but…
My band SLEEPRUNNER is in a battle of the bands online (we need votes) and we’ve been sitting on the same percentage of votes while a friggin Ramones tribute band is crawling up behind us. Seeing as how you people have similar taste in music as my band does, perhaps you might be interested in sending some votes our way?
The site to vote at is http://www.anthemevents.com/bandspoll/index.php
You don’t have to sign up for anything. Just click the bubble next to SleepRunner and then click VOTE. That’s it.
If you want to check us out before voting, you can hear some music on our site: http://www.sleeprunner.com or http://www.myspace.com/sleeprunner
Thanks for reading and sorry to take the subject into my own selfish hands.
November 9th, 2005 at 4:15 PM
Well to get back on topic… Im looking forward to Peeping Tom very much, also incase none of you have heard it I just discovered the Mike Patton song that was released on the Freddy Vs Jason soundtrack, pretty cool.
Anyway, any1 know where I can get the Peeping Tom demoes?
November 9th, 2005 at 6:53 PM
limewire and that sepultura song sucks but not because of mike patton
November 9th, 2005 at 6:58 PM
I didn’t say that i wanted to suck Mike pattons’ balls, and what does inveighing you mean? Obviously we’ve learned who the real idiot is. Also if i came to a foreign country i would learn the language but that’s just me. Also, Not everything john Zorn puts out is good but most of it is fucking genius!
November 10th, 2005 at 2:25 AM
ok sam…i won’t discuss with you anymore. i have better things to do. i just would like to say something to put an end with this: CALA SUA BOCA E VAI TOMAR NO CÚ SEU FILHO DA PUTA.
back to the topic: i really would like to listen good music on the next patton project. something really new and different.
November 10th, 2005 at 2:34 AM
The most intelligent sentence:
“It’s not that patton is repeating himself, He’s an individual with certain character traits that constantly remain the same”
RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!
November 10th, 2005 at 5:08 AM
You’re a jerk, thiago!
Have you even listened to those records?
November 10th, 2005 at 7:25 AM
*yawn*
it’s real simple kids: if you don’t like it, DON’T listen to it.
there are certain bands that I used to like a lot that I don’t like anymore for whatever reason.

I want that show so freakin bad…is there a dvd of it somewhere?
November 10th, 2005 at 2:00 PM
Does anybody know how many individual Peeping Tom demos are out there? I’ve found 5…are their more?
November 10th, 2005 at 3:32 PM
What bands did you used to like and not anymore?
November 10th, 2005 at 3:54 PM
November 10th, 2005 at 10:16 PM
Did Patton play all the instruments on the 5 /6 PT demos? I read that somewhere. Impressive.
November 11th, 2005 at 10:46 AM
behold the truth … the bungle boards are full of inane, teen magazine quasi-stalker self-serving pseudo-intellectual petty garbage
November 11th, 2005 at 11:03 AM
Although I think most Fantomas stuff is fantastic it is really frustrating some times eg on April 3rd (Ithink) once the electronic voice counts to five there is such an awesome riff that its crying out out to be sampled and put in something with some structure.
Same with the start of 4 or 5 – wish I knew how to be a mixer/producer.
I know this “all over the place” theme cool in some cicles but for me in does my head in I must admit.
Never heard PT stuff but sounds like alot of people like it so cant wait.
Smiling with the mouth of the ocean………

I don’t have the dvd or video but i remember the show (my country is Portugal) and i have in audio cd and it’s not very hard to find ’somewhere’ to download it
The influence of peeping tom will be massive attack, it sounds pretty much like trip-hop sound with some weird crap usual in patton, and mike became closer to Del Naja and one song of the next massive attack album will have the voice of you guys know..
November 11th, 2005 at 3:17 PM
I´ve heard in an interview that the peeping tom record will sound completely different to the demos on the internet.
November 12th, 2005 at 5:39 AM
It doesnt matter what Patton does, he rocks it all. As for Peeping Tom, I believe it will happen because he really likes where he was going with it, and when they pull and idea and start it back up i never have been disappointed…they all eventually come out and he always does what he is planning.
as for the headshaving..i wasnt a big fan of that during King For A Day. He needs to grow it out and do something different than he has the past 5 years…blonde was a change (speaking of, GIVE ME FUCKIN FIRECRACKER!!!).
November 12th, 2005 at 1:06 PM
Where can I find the Peeping Tom demos?
November 12th, 2005 at 5:45 PM
Try Soulseek. The interview that i mentioned is an old Tomahawk interview from 2002 at Toazted.com
November 17th, 2005 at 6:27 AM
Fantômas will play in brazil this mouth. replacing suicidal tendences in a festival.
November 20th, 2005 at 12:26 PM
about the year 1995, in a tour with faith no more, in chile, patton was with his head shaved, all over, Dean Menta (the rody from the band in that times, cuz the stupid replace of Trey Spruance) was the same too, if u wanna see it look for photos on stephan negele s site
November 21st, 2005 at 6:32 AM
yeah well, Trey DID quit before they ever toured with him. …soooo, we can’t really fault them with replacing him with Dean.
…that band’s done stupider stuff than that…
November 26th, 2005 at 2:50 AM
I think we should wait a little,Peeping Tom could be a joke bigger than video Macumba, and It’s for sure than its release will be harder than other ones, If mike doesn’t make it finally we must kick his ass, It’s not well if your big master leaves you waiting that long.
December 1st, 2005 at 3:06 PM
I dont quite understand why everyone is so into Fantomas. I thought the Delirium Cordia album I purchased was a big dissapointment, and although I like some of the songs I heard off Directors Cut, none of it compares to Bungle or FNM.
Californias his best album ever in my opinion
December 2nd, 2005 at 8:01 AM
I think a lot of it has to do with the shows. Seeing Fantomas live changes everything. …or at least it did for me. It took me a really long time to get into that first album, but seeing them perform that stuff changed it all for me. Plus watching them blow Tool off the stage in 2001, there aren’t many bands that can do that.
As for Delirium Cordia, it’s still my favorite Fantomas album. Listen to that thing with headphones on in the dark. You can actually feel the bone-scraping in your jaw.
December 3rd, 2005 at 1:39 AM
Thanks Jamie, maybe I’ll give that a try with Delirium Cordia.
I saw them live, and couldnt really get into it. Still, it broke me in and I find Im enjoying their stuff more.
Btw, does anyone know if Tomahawk are working on a new album/scheduling a tour for 2006?
December 3rd, 2005 at 6:38 AM
a little bird said that Romances (kaada/patton) might tour the US.
December 4th, 2005 at 11:41 AM
#1Bunglefan – Tomahawk should be working on a new album next year. Mike Patton said it in one or two interviews.
December 5th, 2005 at 7:49 AM
patton’s hair:
last week fantomas played here in brazil, and patton is with his normal hair (not shaved) a little bit longer and trevor is with a long hair.
December 6th, 2005 at 6:53 AM
awesome, how was the show?
December 6th, 2005 at 10:48 AM
(to thiago) do you remember what all they played?
December 6th, 2005 at 11:08 AM
they just played songs from the last album, suspended animation, except for 2 or 3 songs from director’s cut and some parts of delurium cordia. but they said in a interview that they just played the songs one time before the show. And the show got a lot of improvisation (really crazy stuffs)
.
lombardo wasn’t there. and Terry Bozzio was with a giant-extremely-big drums. mike portnoy is probably jealous. hehehe
December 10th, 2005 at 2:23 PM
I saw Fantomas in Paris (Le Bataclan) in May this year – my cousin lives in Paris and told me that there was coverage of the concert on French TV. I was back home in England at this point and missed it…..AAAAGGGHHHHH!!! Has anyone seen this on the internet? By the way, just gotta mention……NEWCASTLE UNITED 1, ARSENAL 0!!!!! Haway the lads!!!!
December 12th, 2005 at 7:16 AM
who the hell is Mike Portnoy!?
December 13th, 2005 at 5:15 AM
Um … about those demos?
They’re not. Demos.
They were recorded to show record companies that Patton could write and perform poppy stuff. The actual songs and lyrics will not appear on a Peeping Tom-album.
But of course, nothing is writ in stone with Patton
December 13th, 2005 at 6:02 AM
mike portnoy is the dream theater drummer. he has the most impressive drum kit.
December 13th, 2005 at 11:16 AM
neil peart has the most impressive drum kit.
December 14th, 2005 at 5:48 AM
ah ha! Now I get it!!!
thanks!
December 14th, 2005 at 9:08 AM

A demo is exactly that. To show what you or your band is capable of. Therefore they are demos.
December 14th, 2005 at 11:00 PM
Yea, Im sittin pretty with the tickets I scored. Im going to see Mike with Rahzel in Brooklyn on the 28th.
Anyone know how to get their music? I heard they made some stuff with Bjork.
December 16th, 2005 at 4:52 AM
they’re both on Bjorks last album ‘Medulla’
December 21st, 2005 at 1:12 AM
Thanks, I’ll have to check that out.
By the way to anyone who wants to answer this, whats your favorite Patton album and why?
December 21st, 2005 at 6:00 AM
Favourite album with Patton on… after much thought its between FNM Angel dust and Bungle California…. California just wins I think, awesome album, changed my life!. Probably predictable answer but true.
What about least favourite albums with Patton on…. mines Themes for the adult voice without doubt and Delirium Cordia.
December 21st, 2005 at 11:20 AM
man….my favorite ones: king for a day and disco volante.
December 21st, 2005 at 2:36 PM
Favourite album with Patton on?
Angel Dust
A.o.T.Y
Lovage
MitGas
I could go on………….
December 22nd, 2005 at 11:36 AM
Mr. Bungle (Self-titled & California)
FNM (Angel Dust & Album of the Year)
Lovage
Fantomas (The Director’s Cut)
I can listen to all of those in constant rotation in le ole 6-disc’er…
December 22nd, 2005 at 11:50 AM
does anybody loves king for a day like me????
It’s brilliant!!!
December 22nd, 2005 at 3:09 PM
I have to admit, King for a day was the last FNM album I got into, but it’s evolved into what is easily my favorite FNM album. You get a little bit of everything with King for a Day and I have the suspicious feeling that Trey’s guitar work doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. Not to mention, that the B-sides from that album, especially the covers “Greenfields” and “Spanish Eyes” are sublime. While, on the other hand, I loved Album of the year when it first came out, but, for me at least, it hasn’t held up so well.
December 23rd, 2005 at 3:00 AM
I think Angel Dust captured the band at their peak, although I do love KFAD and Album Of The Year, and also prefer Spruance and Hudsons guitar playing, Angel Dust, when it came out was so different and daring to anything else being released at the time and showed they were about making new music and not so much about making millions of $. Also cos I couldnt hear Caffeine enough times.
December 23rd, 2005 at 3:05 AM
I think we’re all sucking cock too much, c’mon what your LEAST favourite Patton stuff and why? There must be some, be honest with yourselves!
December 23rd, 2005 at 1:10 PM
December 24th, 2005 at 10:28 AM
I love Kaada~Patton – Romances!
My least favourite Patton albums are as follows:
Adult Themes for Voice
Pranzo Oltranzista
Fantomas
December 24th, 2005 at 11:57 AM
“Wierd Little Boy” was fairly headache inducing as well. Not to mention that collaberation with Merzbow, “She”.
December 27th, 2005 at 7:01 AM
hehehe….least favorite for me:
Pranzo Oltransista
Wierd little boy
January 3rd, 2006 at 9:08 AM
Yeah I agree with most of these. It seems most people would rather hear Pattons time spent creating challenging but also listenable stuff. The amount of times I’ve bought a new Patton cd home in the hope there will be at least one track that blows me away and am sorely dissapointed. Like I said i’m all up for being challenged but usually just end up feeling like a mug. Looking foward to new Tomahawk album.
January 19th, 2006 at 10:20 AM
King For A Day – with Callifornia & Director’s Cut one of the best albums that i ever heard
Last To Know – best FNM song (with Caffeine)
January 27th, 2006 at 4:24 AM
Hello. I found your blog when searching for info on a new metallica album. Does anyone on here know roughly when the new album will be released?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Keep up the good work,
Andrew.
January 27th, 2006 at 8:09 AM
aces high, you might want to check a website that’s actually about Metallica. We can’t help you here.
January 29th, 2006 at 2:58 PM
Hey #1Bunglefan you said you were @ the Warsaw in brooklyn on the 28th of Dec right?? I was there too! He took my phone to make a call to Poland and then him and Rahzel were talking to my bf right there on stage. The Warsaw was awesome, what did you think??
