Norah Jones Curses Up A Storm For New Mike Patton Project
Songstress is one of many guests on ex-Faith No More singer’s pop album.
Even though he’s slowed down in his golden years, James Brown will always be known as the hardest working man in show business. And while Mike Patton’s not exactly gunning for the infamous nickname, he’s definitely been giving Brown a run for his money.
Patton — of Faith No More, Fantômas, Tomahawk and about 30 other deranged and wondrous projects — has to work. It’s what he does. In addition to running his Ipecac Records label, the anti-rock-star rock star’s been putting the finishing touches on the self-titled debut from Peeping Tom, his four-years-in-the-making, long-overdue multi-genre pop masterpiece.
Oh, and he’s also tracking vocals for three tunes that’ll appear on Massive Attack’s forthcoming seventh album, Weather Underground. The one song he’s finished thus far for the trip-hoppers “is like a really slow, dirty ballad with mostly acoustic guitar,” he said.
Plus he’s composing soundtracks for two films (one being friend Melanie Lee’s “Pinion”), he recently lent his voice box to the in-development PlayStation 3 game “The Darkness,” and he’s been writing material for the next Tomahawk LP.
And then there’s that trip he’s planning to Italy, where — with help from a string orchestra and a full choir — he’ll record an album’s worth of “my arrangements of ’60s Italian pop tunes, which should be fun.” He’ll also spend some time with composer Eyvind Kang for a collaborative classical choir piece.
That’s just the stuff he can remember off the top of his head. “You know, I always forget about some of the things I’ve done, because you do ‘em, and sometimes they don’t come out and … most of it’s almost like daily chores or something,” Patton explained. “You check it off your list and then it’s gone.”
And when your list’s as long as Mike’s, you can’t be expected to remember every little thing you’ve been involved with. Besides, the last four months of Patton’s life have been devoted exclusively to finishing the first of three Peeping Tom records in the works, which is due May 30.
“I’m overjoyed to finally have this out of my hair,” Patton said. “It’s almost cathartic for me — more than any other project I’ve had. These projects, they’re almost like problems. You have them on your work table and they’re really fun for a minute, and then you get sick of ‘em and you finish ‘em off and move on to something else. This one has lingered for a lot of different reasons.”
One of the reasons has been major-label trickery. “There were offers from major labels, and I made the grave error of entertaining some of those offers, and that cost me about a year of wining, dining, singing and dancing and ultimately, I was left holding my n–s,” he said. “And I deserved it. I should have known better.”
Plus, Patton recruited a laundry list of collaborators, sending tracks across the globe to have other artists add their personal touches. “It was a melee getting all this stuff back,” he said.
The initial 11-track Peeping Tom outing will feature a spate of underground and mainstream experimentalists, including Kid Koala; Odd Nosdam; Doseone and Jel of the Bay Area hip-hop collective Anticon; Dale Crover of the Melvins; Massive Attack; Gorillaz beat maestro Dan “The Automator” Nakamura; human beatbox Rahzel the Godfather of Noyze; Cypress Hill’s DJ Muggs; Amon Tobin; Brazilian chanteuse Bebel Gilberto; Brooklyn’s Dub Trio; DJ Disk of the Invisibl Skratch Piklz; and rapper Kool Keith.
“It’s very streamlined, very slick — it’s a groove record,” Patton said. “I used programmers and producers from the electronic world and the hip-hop world, in some cases. If there’s a sound to [the record], it leans into those worlds. There are simple structures. I’m singing, there’s lyrics — to me, it’s a pop record. It’s something I’d want to turn on the radio and hear.”
One of the album’s highlights, Patton said, is “Sucker,” which boasts the pipes of Norah Jones. “It’s a pretty vulgar song,” he said, laughing. “You don’t recruit someone like that unless you … I mean, I had something real specific in mind for her, and I wanted to take her out of her element and put her in a new environment and make it exciting, and she loved it. She did great. But yeah, you won’t recognize Norah. She’s cussing her ass off. It’s insane. She’s like a cruel vamp, and it’s super sexy, hot and, yeah, cruel.”
After Peeping Tom’s unveiling, Patton said he’ll reunite with Nakamura to begin work on the second Lovage record — the follow-up 2001′s lounge-flavored Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By. He said there’s no word yet on whether Elysian Fields frontwoman Jennifer Charles would be reprising her role as the Cher to his Sonny, but discussions are ongoing.
And Tomahawk are in “go mode,” he added. “There are three or four tunes for the record that are done, and we’ll be in the studio by the end of the year. Most of the music’s based on old Native American motifs. It’s going to be a real quiet, strange record.”

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. My mouth is literally watering at the moment. And now I’ve got even more reason to check out the new Massive Attack release.

I am so freaking exited. Someone stated it earlier, but this is going to be THE year. YES!

If anything he does this year can top last year’s ‘General Patton’ and ‘Suspended Animation’, two of his best records yet, then my hat is definitely off to him.
That’s one hell of a guest list. Norah Jones has yet to wow me but maybe this CD will do it, who knows. It certainly sounds like an interesting record, though it’s closer to six years in the making than four, I’m sure. I remember him talking about his ‘pop project’ in interviews since the early days of Ipecac.
February 28th, 2006 at 7:58 AM
By the way can anyone confirm that promise of 3 Peeping Tom albums? I already heard stories about 2, but 3 is like 1 more than 2!
March 1st, 2006 at 5:15 AM
Getting Norah is a genius move!
March 1st, 2006 at 11:27 AM
Man, that sounds so awesome! Can’t wait, there’s so much in the future, it’s sick.
March 1st, 2006 at 2:28 PM
i dig
March 3rd, 2006 at 8:38 PM
holy shit!!! I just about started crying from excitement….oh there is so much about to happen i am freaking out!!
March 4th, 2006 at 3:04 AM
Massive Attack and Patton, fuckin great.
March 4th, 2006 at 5:47 AM
I hope Amon Tobin’s contribution to the record is exceptionally noticeable; he’s without a doubt one of the most creative electronica artists on the planet.
March 4th, 2006 at 7:55 AM
Peeping Tom
Tomahawk
Continous artist collaborations
Italian orchestrated retro pop tunes
A classical project!!!
This guy is redefining what it means to be a musical artist. Not afraid to raise the bar and broaden his own and his fan’s musical horizons!!! I love it.
March 5th, 2006 at 5:53 PM
I finally managed to find a copy of Evyind Kang’s Virginal Coordinates record, and it excites me to think that him and Patton will be doing more work together. What makes me happiest about Peeping Tom (hopeful?) is that I can finally have another Patton record that I can spin for my friends and lame people who don’t dig on experinmental/cutting edge music…
March 5th, 2006 at 6:34 PM
i really hope this isn’t all hype. i know mike patton seems to think everything he does is perfect but tomoshmuck sucked, the last fantomas album was a repeat of the first one, and the exectioners one could have been a little more thought prevoking. the bjork album was a let down. hopefully the wait will be worth it. i dunno. he’s more down than up these days.
March 6th, 2006 at 2:36 AM
Man, you need your ears cleaning out! I agree some stuff isn’t as good as others but “tomoshmuck”…. you should have more respect for these creative musicians.
March 6th, 2006 at 1:11 PM
found some Peeping Tom tracks on the WWW (probably unfinished mixes). Sounds great. A more poppy sound, than lovage on some of the tracks, but its still the Patton we all love. Allways innovating….allways pushing the envelope. We are in for a treat…..BIG TIME…..can´t wait
March 6th, 2006 at 1:42 PM
Nay-sayers can go and listen to some Creed or something. I remain in moist anticipation for Peeping Tom.
Damn, I’m not really one for hero worship or anything, but Mike Patton seems to have ascended to Frank Zappa’s throne. For the sheer range and amount of music…effing kudos, mang….
Norah Jones, Massie Attack, all the way to (hail unto his greatness) John Zorn and Kool Kieth? Patton’s range of musical cohorts says alot. But then again, I value any artist who doesn’t just stick to one shtick.
March 6th, 2006 at 3:20 PM
Yeah, you’re definitely wrong about Tomahawk – they’re great.
March 6th, 2006 at 6:24 PM
Dude I’m so exicted, I can’t wait to hear all this shit plus see the movie he is in. After Mr Bungle went their seperate ways I thought patton had run out of creative juice, especially after hearing Fantomas’ first album (C’mon guys, dont be scared to admit it, it’s not THAT good), but I now realise he has only scratched the surface of his musical ‘mojo’. The thing about patton is he could turn up on a hip hop album or a freaking cabare album and they are both still well within his genres. The man is a genius…
March 7th, 2006 at 10:06 PM
ok ok i am a little harsh, but i am just as crazy about patton as the next person, but tomochoke won’t sink in. i listen and it sounds bad to me. forgive me for being honest….not everything mike patton touches is gold….although i wish it was. and btw, i am not dissing anyone that patton works with. one more thing, i really really really want him to do something a little more band-like/mainstream sort of. i hope that peeping tom turns out to be great and a good reason for me to act like a silly teenager.
March 8th, 2006 at 9:12 AM
Yeah, but Tomahawk is exactly that: ‘more band-like/mainstream’. I can’t get into Fantomas, but Tomahawk are just like The Jesus Lizard + Mike Patton, really. Which is a good thing.
March 8th, 2006 at 9:42 AM
i just don’t appreciate anything that mike patton has put out since bungle and fnm. sure i still go out and buy the albums because i’m a sucker, but i keep expecting something to stick. and no, i’m not being bitter because i have 2 fnm tattoos. i love him to death. i’d really like to see him on broadway. that would really rock.
March 8th, 2006 at 1:43 PM
Yeah I know what you mean, but post Bungle, I have found both of the Tomahawk albums and the Kaada~Patton – Romances album to be great
March 9th, 2006 at 3:52 AM
…and I couldn´t agree with gasteropod more
March 10th, 2006 at 8:56 AM
I think it´s time for a good, unique patton album. a new, long-awaited sign of this man´s creativity. tomahawk, kaada, lovage bores me to sleep. let´s see what peeping tom brings. bungle demanded more, even fnm. fantomas is fun, but listen to elder zorn records. you hear a lot of that in them. it´s about time for another good one! Finally!
March 13th, 2006 at 11:11 AM
What’s with al the Fantomas bashing? So you don’t like an album or band Mike Patton is associated with, try one of the other 40 he has released or appeared on in the past 10 years. I think it’s just silly to bash one of his projects over the other, since they each capture a unique aspect of his music/performance. Its obvious that even huge fans of his work won’t like everything he will and has ever done. Personally I don’t go for a lot of the FNM stuff I’ve heard, but I’ll let the other Patton fans enjoy it, because they get it/appreciate it in their own way. Sorry to rant, just wanted to add my own two cents to what I saw as a silly discussion.
March 13th, 2006 at 12:09 PM
This indeed is a silly discussion. FailureNinja’s got it right. All MP’s projects are unique to one another. That’s what makes him different. Enjoy what you want. Now for my 2 cents…
After FNM, I learned to be open to MP’s diverse projects. I miss the FNM days, sure, but I accept the fact that he is the ONLY one who is bold and creative enough in the business to raise the bar and try new things, which in turn, enlightens his fans. Hendrix was the same way. BTW, there are certain MP projects that grow on you after a few listens. I find this to be the case with Fantomas and Tomahawk. The more I listened to them the more I got into them.
March 14th, 2006 at 1:06 AM
OK I’m in Patton for like 15 years (no I’m not THAT old
hehehe), and he is just getting better and better, I think I’m gonna tell my grandchildren about him hahahahaha, ROCK ON!
March 15th, 2006 at 12:40 AM
It’s hard to believe that anybody can just DO all that he does. I’m extremely excited for Peeping Tom, as I am everything else he does… ever.
A second Lovage? Amazing.
More Fantomas? Sounds sweet.
Italian Pop songs? Awesome
Classical? Perfect.
… if only there was more Bungle…
March 16th, 2006 at 8:49 AM
mike is an unpredectible artist, but some of the “guests” to his peeping album are very predectibles, if this album was a solo album, fucking great…but norah jonezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz first listen then talk.
March 17th, 2006 at 6:41 AM
mike patton is like prince when he turned into a symbol. he became semi blah. he went from rock star to “artist”. What kind of shit is that? happy st pattys day.
March 17th, 2006 at 8:49 AM
I don’t see a problem with that! rock stars are dicks generally.
March 17th, 2006 at 6:10 PM
i agree that not everything Patton’s done is fantastic…but it’s different. He’s not getting stuck in any kind of rut…I buy everything he does because even if it’s not to my taste, I know it’s going to be something interesting. When the major labels are manufacturing (rehashed) talent at such a ridiculous pace, AND IT ALL SOUNDS THE SAME, I’ll take the failed experiments along with the great ones.
I buy his stuff ‘cuz I want him to keep making music! He’s got the guts to go way out there, musically, and that’s made him a pseudo-underground legend.
I am likewise anxiously awaiting Peeping Tom.
March 18th, 2006 at 4:39 AM
i hope for a tour as well with Peeping Tom but for now it seems that he stills playing with.. Mike Patton & X-ecutioners 3rd April – Portugal

March 20th, 2006 at 12:08 AM
Who the fuck is Norah Jones anyway man, I WANT MR. BUNGLE BACK AGAIN!!!!!, WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW IS LOVE AND THEM BACK IN BUSINESS, THATS ALL…
March 25th, 2006 at 4:50 AM
I want back alice in chains and i have lol, i want back soundgarden, nirvana, faith no more and so on… lol
March 25th, 2006 at 12:36 PM
After a few years of exploring extreme musicsorts, I found in Faith the ideal combination of all musical sorts and moods. Mr Bungle was an expansion to that. Fantomas goes even byond anything I knew. Tomahawk has its own rocktunes… I think Yeti is right by supporting MP in his (still) experimental fase, when most artists settle when they found their sound. For all you people out there who want the ressurection of Faith, I recommend http://www.fakenomore.nl, for they are the closest to the real thing(also according to pattontrader.com) I hope MP continues to amaze us with his music! In good and in bad times…. AMEN!
March 25th, 2006 at 9:32 PM
None of that bands had this musicians and his quality(except for faith no more), and besides, Stanley from alice in chains and cobain from nirvana are more dead than elvis…lol…..
March 26th, 2006 at 3:47 PM
Your all a bunch of fucking blood suckers!
And so am I
March 31st, 2006 at 5:53 AM
Patton is under a huge amount of pressure for the Peeping Tom album, whether he realises it or not. People seem to expect this to be his more mainstream follow up to Faith No More. No pressure there! Still, I think this album could be a great one, and I cant wait dammit. But why couldnt he have squeezed all the best peeping tom material onto one album instead of planning another 2 or 3. Make it the best it can be, don’t cut out stuff mike
April 1st, 2006 at 10:07 PM
I have been waiting for this album forfuckinever
April 2nd, 2006 at 4:04 AM
I wouldn’t see why this record should have any more pressure exerted on it than say the General Patton vs. the X-Ecutioners collaboration. If it weren’t for the leaked demos, I doubt the hype would be anywhere nearly as intense as it is at the moment. It’s not like Patton has been advertising the project constantly all over the place during the past, has he? If the album’s gonna be a downer, I for one am not gonna be the one founding the lynch party
And about that multiple album issue: any thoughts on the possibility of Peeping Tom becoming a steady Patton band/project (however you please) such as Tomahawk and Fantômas?
April 2nd, 2006 at 7:12 AM
Can anyone direct me to the demos?
Any truth that these songs will end up on the upcoming release?
Thanks
April 2nd, 2006 at 11:43 AM
coach:I have demos, maby you could come on soulseek,I mean a lot of people there have them, you just have to ask
April 2nd, 2006 at 4:37 PM
Maya:
I have a Mac and don’t have Soulseek. Anyone willing to email them to me or provide a link?
April 8th, 2006 at 4:40 AM
I’m so happy to be a Patton fan. What makes me happier is that mainstream people don’t even know who he is. I’m hoping the Peeping album does go well comercially so people go “who’s this Mike Patton fellow?” and I’ll just laugh quietly to myself. Losers:)
April 8th, 2006 at 11:43 AM
Would you look at that: the motherfucker has been leaked! o_0 I’m still contemplating should I wait ’til May or just take a headstart. One way or the other, still gonna buy the CD when it comes out, no question about it.
April 10th, 2006 at 1:47 AM
Listening to the album now, sounds really good! Of course i will buy the cd when it’s released…song number 2 is really cool!
April 10th, 2006 at 1:08 PM
I’m similarly torn. Actually I’ve decided to wait, when I hear this album I don’t want it to be in mp3 format. A well-intentioned friend of mine played me the beginning of ‘Neighborhood Spaceman’ she’d gotten off Bearshare and it sounded exactly the same as the demo version. Until the drums came in and it was clearly quite different…so if nothing else I know that it actually exists and it all wasn’t a big joke.
Out of needless loyalty I’ll just wait it out. Cover art looks cool.
April 12th, 2006 at 6:17 PM
I didn’t wait, but I will still purchase the real deal on May 30.
It’s amazing. Only two songs don’t do it for me.
April 13th, 2006 at 4:07 AM
“We’re Not Alone” = Once of the best Mike Patton songs to date.
April 13th, 2006 at 10:38 AM
When you guys hear the new peeping tom you will pee your pants..
“crystal clear…I’m hanging like a chandelier
when you preach…theyll join you on the roof and streets”
yes, its amazing. Mike Patton is pop king!
April 13th, 2006 at 12:38 PM
Hmm… I think I may have to give in to my craving!
Though I’ll still buy the real thing (no pun intended!)
Anyone know what the single(s) will be ? How about a video?
April 16th, 2006 at 10:47 AM
Just heard Peeping Tom album, not keen personally, hope its a grower. Not sure about Mikes adventures with cutting up beats, heard it done better. Still there is some nice melodys here and there. Massive Attack track is a little disappointing
:( Hope new Tomahawk’s the one.
April 16th, 2006 at 2:56 PM
Heard the Peeping Tom album today, not overly keen really – hope it’s a grower, not sure about Mikes adventures with cutting up beats etc sounds a bit messy, also Massive Attack track was a bit disappointing, still there is some nice melodys going on. Hope new Tomahawk’s the one.
April 17th, 2006 at 11:32 AM
Well…I grabbed an advance copy of Peeping Tom from the net and I must say I’m not overwhelmingly impressed. Admitted, none of the songs are bad, but at track 6 now, I’m still waiting for something exceptional. It sounds a bit too experimental to be a commercial breakthrough (something I certainly don’t care about), and the mixing is…I dunno…I guess I’m just a bit annoyed that Pattons vocals get a bit muffled in all the music and effects. So far I like his Tomahawk stuff much better, but it all comes down to taste I suppose. No doubt I’ll put this album on my ipod, but I’m not sure it’ll get “heavy rotation”…Well, just my 2 cents. I’m not going to waste your and my time with commenting on every song – I’ll leave you to decide for yourselves
- trikztar
Ps: Of course I’ll buy the album too, so no “burn in hell, pirate ass” comments please
April 19th, 2006 at 7:02 PM
I MUST ADMIT, I HEARD THE NEW PEEPING TOM CD LAST NIGHT AND IM REALLY DISSAPOINTED, I ONLY LIKE ABOUT 3 SONGS. 3 SONGS ON THE CD ARE THE SAME FROM THE DEMOS BUT WITH DIFFERENT LYRICS AND DIFFERENT PARTS. IVE BEEN A HUGE MIKE PATTON FAN BUT THIS ALBUM IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED AFTER YEARS OF HEARING ABOUT PEEPING TOM. THE NORAH JONES SONG IS ONE OF THE ONLY ONES I LIKED.
April 25th, 2006 at 7:19 AM
The album’s definetely a grower, just like all truly great albums should be (I recall being THIS close of returning Disco Volante back to the record store after the first spin, hehe). The first listen of PT did not exactly rock my world, but after about half a dozen more careful listens reveal the brilliance beneath. The refined demo tracks are nothing but spectacular improvements (especially the near-perfect Your Neighborhood…), and the new tunes sound are simply loaded with awesome sounds, nuances, melodies and rhymes. Suprisingly enough the highlight (perhaps excluding the already mentioned demo tracks) turns out to be the Dose One collaboration “How U Feeling?”. And yeah, Norah Jones’ voice just oozes sexiness, mmmmm….. A very sleazy and smoky hiphopelectropop-album, most suitable for relaxing lounge sessions or something of the sort, hehe
And oh yeah, Mike sounds as fresh as ever, especially in the tremendous Tobin-track “Don’t Even Trip” and Massive Attack’s rock-steady “Kill the DJ”. I’ll be more than glad to pay full price for the album when it comes out.
April 25th, 2006 at 7:46 AM
Ari,I think you’re an angel!
April 26th, 2006 at 5:30 AM
Cheerio, nice to see I’m actually worthy of a positive title
April 26th, 2006 at 7:13 AM
Hahaha Ari:) But you write it so…heartbreaking hahaha
April 26th, 2006 at 8:33 AM
Hehe, more of like heartbreakingly bad^^ Gettin’ also pretty psyched from the upcoming Conan show; hope Peeping Tom will some day do an extensive eurotour so I’d get to see ‘em live too!
April 27th, 2006 at 3:18 AM
From your mouth in gods ears!!
April 27th, 2006 at 12:00 PM
I’ve not heard it yet cos I’m just too busy to do anything at the moment but I’ve not heard the demo’s either but I’m glad I won’t have anything to judge it against after all the ” oh he’s changed this” and “I don’t like that” comments.
Lookin forward to it and enjoying the tease.
(and I don’t mean Maya!)

YOU SHOULD HAVE THOSE TATTOOS RREMOVED AND NEVER BOTHER TO LISTEN TO ANYTHING HE DOES FROM HERE ON OUT. GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS, UNCLOG THE SHIT FROM YOUR EARS AND TAKE A GOOD LISTEN. YOU OBVIOUSLY DONT UNDERSTAND PATTON AND WHAT HIS MUSIC MEANS. “I LOVE EPIC, IM GETTING A TATTOO” I CAN SEE IT NOW. GET A CLUE BEFORE YOU CRAP ON SOMETHING LIKE THIS. DID YOU ACTUALLY COMPARE PRINCE’S CAREEER TO MIKE PATTONS? CHANGING HIS NAME TO A SYMBOL WAS A CRY FOR ATTENTION, SOMETHING PATTON WOULD NEVER WANT. DID YOU READ ABOUT HIM EXPLAINING HIS ANGER FOR ENTERTAINING BIG RECORD COMPANIES FOR THE PEEPING TOM CD??? MIKE KEEPS HIS MUSIC HIS. AN APPEARENCE ON CONAN IS THE MOST PUBLIC THING HES DONE THAT I CAN REMEMBER. MAYBE OTHER THAN HANGING FROM THE RAFTERS ON SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE BACK IN THE DAY. LOL.
SO TURN IN YOUR PATTON MATERIAL, GET RID OF THE TATTOOS AND WE’RE COOL.
April 30th, 2006 at 3:53 AM
^ Hilarious comment, the use of capital letters actually makes the read more entertaining:) Faith No More performed Richochet on Conan back in the day, and that’s by far the coolest Conan music performance I’ve seen. Keeping fingers crossed for another mindblower with Peeping Tom.
April 30th, 2006 at 5:30 AM
…and you can always tattoo a symbol on your ass, it’s gonna be modern forever!
April 30th, 2006 at 9:58 AM
ALREADY HEARD THE PEEPING TOM RECORD.
YOU ARE IN FOR A SURPRISE, GUYS… AMAZING, SO PATTONISH… LOVING EVERY SEC.
if you liked the Peeping Tom demo, you’ll looove this one.
May 1st, 2006 at 12:57 AM
..but if you don’t like demo, you won’t like the cd. Just my opinion
But I like it. And about lyrics. Somebody here once said that they are stupid. Well, of course they are stupid, Mr.Bungle and Faith No More lyrics are also stupid, what did you expect??
May 1st, 2006 at 12:58 AM
Oh and Mary.I hope you’re a woman, I thought I’ll go crazy, all boys here hahahahahahaha
Just kidding you guys

ill be watching on the 26th though!!!
May 1st, 2006 at 8:27 PM
Heh, well I was about 10 when that show aired, so I really didn’t have a clue about the show myself^^ There’s a (sketchy quality) video of the gig floating around the internet though, just in case you feel like desperately hunting it down.

go giants, love the mike
May 5th, 2006 at 12:06 PM
God, I hope someone gets to tape the fucker!!!!
Maya – have you posted those Patton pics from your Slovenia/Slovakia concert anywhere?
Someone was doing a professional recording at the London gig – I’m hoping it’s gonna pop up on the internet somewhere!
May 6th, 2006 at 12:09 PM
Pascal-I didn’t posted them anywhere,(well, there are a few guys who got that chance right?)
but I can send them to you if you want, but they are pretty all the same hahaha….and it’s SLOVENIA.
May 7th, 2006 at 1:15 AM
Maya – are the pics good quality? Are they close up? I’m glad you live in Slovenia cos I’ve just seen the film ‘Hostel’ and SLOVAKIA looks like a VERY FUCKING SCARY PLACE TO LIVE!!!!
Mind, I suppose it’s no worse than the North-East of England on a Saturday night………..!

Maya – good to hear you haven’t got loads of kids running around and smashing peoples heads in with baseball bats (have you seen the film?)where you live!!!
Can you upload the photos onto Bunglefever? Or have you got a ‘myspace’ page you can put them on?
In future, I’m definitely bringing a camera to every Patton gig I go to – sometimes you get searched and sometimes you don’t!!!
My cousin lives in Paris so I got to see Fantomas at Le Bataclan last year – every fucker had a camera and they all used their flash!!! You would get kicked to fuck for doing that in England……..
NOTE TO POPESTER, ETC: WE’RE IN THE INTERTOTO CUP – WAHEY!!!!!!!!!!
May 8th, 2006 at 1:29 AM

May 8th, 2006 at 10:06 AM
Mr Bowen – Martin Jol is a twat and rightly deserved the puke/shit fest. Is that bad to say that?
Aye, Roeder got us into Europe and his brain is fucked. Doesn’t say much for Souey, does it?
Maya – right on!!!!!

May 10th, 2006 at 11:40 AM
Popey, I’m inclined to agree – I seem to spend ages checking the whole set of stories!!!!
Maya – I have to say that your English is excellent. However, people in England – especially where I come from – do not speak it like you would if you were taught it as a second language in school. For example:
English: “Are you going to the shop?”
Geordie: “How, man – ya gannin’ t the fuckin’ shops or waat, liyk?”
God, I’m so proud………..
May 10th, 2006 at 12:15 PM
Ok see you upstairs from now on!!
May 11th, 2006 at 7:17 AM
Pascal, nobody speaks like it’s written in a book, and I didn’t learned in school, but from movies and music,so I don’t speak like my english teacher would like
But I think that we understand each other just fine.
May 11th, 2006 at 11:43 AM
Good lass! I hope you didn’t learn English from John Wayne and Chris Tucker films…..
“Well get off your horse and drink your milk, muthafucker!!”
Hahahaha!!
Anyway, I thought we were all meant to be writing in the ‘MOJO EP’ bit!!!!!
May 12th, 2006 at 3:18 AM

SHUT the HELL up, i had to scroll thru all maya/pope/and pascals crap to find nothing! you think we want to read this?? go open up a private chat room on AOL or something, goddamn…
sorry… had to get that out. As far as this album goes, its great! It has its moments of blah, but every patton album has since bungle went kaput. And come to think of it, FNM had quite a few moments of ‘blah’ as well. Where am I heading with this?? BUNGLE NEEDS TO GET OVER THE GRIPING (whatever its about) AND JUST GET BACK TOGETHER.
Mike alone-good, creative, lacking TRUE MUSIC theory knowledge. Trey alone-really arfing talented, underrated as the main man behind bungle, nothing bad i can say about him. Trevor alone-i like some of the ideas of Trio Convulsant, but it gets old about half-way into their set, Danny alone-he’s a fuckin drummer, .. and Bar-i dont know anything hes done outside of bungle/secret chiefs (good sax player) ……TOGETHER?????? unstoppable. Seriously the perfect combination of musicians EVER. Is that a big statement?? QUITE, but being a musician for 15 years and constantly listening/searching for music I can say it without hesitation.
Theres no way i can spin all 3 bungle CD’s enough.
there was no real solid point to this post, it was a rant… and i feel better.

This indeed sounds beautiful.
It feels like ages since I’ve heard any new Patton work.
He has allways been about diversity and as the man sais it’s putting all of that into a he’s own version of a pop record.
New Tomahawk too.
I’ve Seeped.
May 17th, 2006 at 10:46 PM
