Hey all you Patton fans out there in the ether, I just got turned on to this relatively new site: http://youtube.com/index You all seriously need to check it out and see all the goodies that pop up when you search for “Mike Patton.” Oh my god, you’ll be entertained for HOURS. Some really rare shit, and allot of the quality is quite good. They even have the full versions of those Lovage videos, not to mention ALL of the Patton/Kaada stuff from that one live shoe this summer. Enjoy, baby!
March 3rd, 2006 at 3:31 AM
I know, I discovered this as well and I never need to do anything else again.

To Dumbass:
my mistake Dumb-ass, anyway, u get the point dont u jack-ass?????
March 5th, 2006 at 2:32 AM
Great news!
I hope Rhino has some extras planned- like the missing Brixton song (was it Chinese Arithmetic?) and the Stripsearch video, which wasn’t on the VHS.
Not intersted in interviews or commentaries- but they had better get it right and make it a COMPLETE collection this time. The VHS sucked ass.

March 6th, 2006 at 7:30 AM
WHO NEEDS OLDER STUFF??! I WANT SOME 1997 CONCERTS, THAT CONTERTS ARE THE BEST (AND THE SADEST
(( ) HEHEHE, HY FROM SLOVENIA!!!!!!!!!!! WE LOVE PATTON!!
March 6th, 2006 at 8:05 AM
They’ll never release anything else in a million years, but you can find whole concerts if you look hard enough, failing that go to http://www.youtube.com and type in “FNM” and you will find yourself in Patton heaven.
March 6th, 2006 at 12:52 PM
Maaaaaan, this is AWESOME!!
And to think I mailed those assholes at Rhino a couple of years ago..(does anyone remember that whole project over here at cv.org?)
March 6th, 2006 at 12:52 PM
sorry…obviously, my nick spells batuss..
March 6th, 2006 at 11:12 PM
thank god! my vhs tapes are wore out, and vcr’s r kinda old? arent they?”Tears fall, they scarred your innocent dreams
Loves fall, they kinda leave you empty
Leaves fall, the seasons pass you by
And you think that maybe you can fly” Patton! the best there is, the best the was and the best there ever will be. thank you for giving me fnm.
March 7th, 2006 at 2:13 AM
I DO HAVE LIKE 150 CONCERTS, BUT HERE IS THE STRANGEST THING:THERE IS NO “STAR A.D.” ON ANY OF LIVE STUFF?? ANY IDEAS?? I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR THIS SONG LIVE,BUT IT DOESN’T EXIST. AM I WRONG???
March 7th, 2006 at 6:10 AM
I’m pretty sure they never played Star A.D. live, shame good track.
March 7th, 2006 at 6:40 AM
OK Thanks anyway,I’m pretty sure too, but I was just hoping
March 8th, 2006 at 8:53 PM
Good track is not damn enough man, FUKIN GREAT TRACK u should say, but ur right, they never played this song live, why??, we`ll never know why, but any question that anyone could have about what song was played on live performances u can check it out on fnm.com, statics. (1st time played for each song. Is listed by Album.)
…remember and dont forget Bowen: FUKIN GREAT TRACK
March 9th, 2006 at 4:27 AM
I think its cos of the horns and stuff. They probably got a session guy to do them when they were recording. It would’ve sounded CLASS live.
March 9th, 2006 at 12:39 PM
hey Bowen, i just readed about the disscusion about patton vs spruance that we had there, so i left a new message, check it out man …
thx.
March 9th, 2006 at 2:21 PM
Is it so good that ? it’s nothing new, it could get out at mini disc or in vynil. There’s great stuff outhere to download, like live shows, Phoenix Festival, Bizarre, Making of angel dust (4 hours with the band members) and many others. But record companies prefer to put out always the same crap.
March 10th, 2006 at 5:03 AM
I don’t think they ever played Smaller and Smaller (one of my faves) and Malpractice either, shame.
March 10th, 2006 at 7:09 AM
Mark B.,thanks for reminding me to be sad, but I think there are a lot of songs they didn’t play live, I think Tomahawk’s YOU CAN’T WIN, but I hope I’m wrong
Does anybody have this track live??!!
March 10th, 2006 at 9:39 AM
I DO!!!! live in Athens Georga 2003… Its ok, not a favourite like the awesome Birdsong! I don’t think there’s a better Tomahawk track… cinematic, dark and beautiful all at the same time.
March 11th, 2006 at 6:12 AM
Hey, Caralho Voador-
Where do you d/l Phoenix Festival from??
March 12th, 2006 at 1:47 PM
They could add a 3d DVD to the set something from the King For a Day tour or Angel Dust tour from early 90s
March 12th, 2006 at 11:50 PM
Uuuuufff I agree with M.B.so much. So I just have to d.l.Athens concert and I can die then hehehe, Thanks!!
March 13th, 2006 at 2:26 AM
…and my clock is so much diferent than yours (like 8 or 9 hours diference),so it’s like yesterday now hahaha, that’s pretty cool!!!
March 13th, 2006 at 1:48 PM
ok first of all all u guys are out of topic… find a forum to discuss your shit. second, Rhino is releasing this because they like to re-release fnm stuff… they have released Introduce yourself in 2000 (the closer ink splatter cover) and then they released this is it: the best of faith no more…
we are lucky that they are releasing this double dvd set.. and no doubt will they continue to release more fnm shit… being that they are the greatest band on earth. so far everything they released, couting this upcomming one, is every 3 years…so maybe this is jsut a coincidence, but we might not see anything til 2009, uless of course these sells ge very high, and then they want to release again… keep in mind thats how it works..
as well they seem to have the rights to a lot of faith no more more, as they are releasing along wih Slash records. so hopefully they will keep on releasing new stuff…
as for you farts that are ungreatefull and keep asknig for concerts and shit, good fuckngi luck. it is very hard to get the rights to anything these days. just look at the seinfeld dvds…. and they werent even live…
so get this dvd asap…. and for those who live near NYC, check out Kim’s Videos… they usually have stuff 1 or 2 weeks in advance… hehe. then you can brag about having it b4 everyone.
March 14th, 2006 at 7:14 AM
Only once I heard Malpractice live and that was from “The Dillinger Escape Plan” with Mike patton
you can download it from any p2p network

March 14th, 2006 at 7:17 AM
actually, on my copy of the Who Cares A Lot? VHS, Stipsearch was in fact included although not listed on the back of the box.
March 14th, 2006 at 1:40 PM
Soulseek… sometimes there are some good users there and they have good stuff
March 14th, 2006 at 11:06 PM
I use aMule on my Linux box but DC++ network is the best
March 15th, 2006 at 12:25 AM
…I’m lost now…Where can I hear You can’t win (TOMAHAWK)???Because I don’t have anything to d.l.,maby soulseek sometimes, but there is not a lot of things for me and it’s slow
March 15th, 2006 at 2:36 AM
If you give me your email address Maya and i’ll arrange to send you a copy of athens dvd, and if you have something I don’t, then you could return the favour!
I recommend to all Tomahawk fans to try and find files of them live at Sol festival from French tv 2003, it’s looks and sounds great. There’s a whole concert of 13 songs.
March 15th, 2006 at 4:36 AM
MaRK,that’s such a good suggestion, I have 2 adreses, at work: maja.pogacnik@baumit.si and home: maja.pogacnik@email.si ….and I can’t wait!!!!! yuhuhu
ofcourse I’ll send you anything you want,I have a loooooooot of stuff
March 15th, 2006 at 6:44 AM
…and STAR A.:Brixton and you fat bastards is the same thing.
March 15th, 2006 at 7:07 AM
Metamp:I saw malpractice/D.E.Plan, and It’s pretty cool, but not as ql as FNM would be
The fact is that there are songs, wich are not for playing LIVE
or what?…
March 15th, 2006 at 9:30 AM
Maya I thing that there are songs that are very dificult to play live or play them so they sound like the studio recording.
Malpractice played by DEP is a proof that anything can be done
I like Smaller and Smaller but never heard it live
Check out my site
http://fnmreunion.ttisupport.com
I added some cool desktop wallpapers in the dawnload section
March 16th, 2006 at 12:20 AM
METAMP:your site is ql
markB:are you dl-ing concerts from soulseek?because I have everything from there (and like I said,it’s A lot),MABY a have something you don’t,we’ll be in touch
March 16th, 2006 at 12:35 AM
The only problem with Emule is that good music have just few resources, but thats happen when ur search is very specific, anyway, there are very good stuff around there (music from fantomas discography to secret chiefs 3 albums, and even my favorites ones; faith no more b-sides songs)….ya, even that lol..
there is also some live performance on mp3 of FNM, on http://www.audiofind.ru
(ferocious neurosis is one of the geatest live concerts of FNM (1995), if u havent heared yet, check it out)

Try the AVG antivirus free version and disable the active protection just use it to scan individual files that look suspicious
March 16th, 2006 at 8:39 AM

But that’s cool for us, collectors

March 20th, 2006 at 6:14 AM
Well if it is she’s hot!
March 20th, 2006 at 10:25 AM
Nah thats not patton’s wife, the picture looks like a fake…
And HELL YEAH, this is the best year..Peeping tom disc, FNM DVD, Tomahawk new release….. All we need is Mr.Bungle back again cuz 3 discs are not enough.
March 20th, 2006 at 10:57 AM
looks superimposed to me.
March 21st, 2006 at 12:00 PM
I found one great user of soulseek, add asobel it has great videos of live shows of fnm in the 90′s
March 21st, 2006 at 11:53 PM
TNX for telling me, I have a lot of live shows, but I prefer things from 1997, Patton had better voice later…
March 22nd, 2006 at 5:44 AM
well i have the pleasure to know the faith no more in 1998 in my country where they give the last show :p
March 22nd, 2006 at 7:12 AM
I’m happy for you…
that is the saddest show ever, he didn’t even sing, crowd was yelling all the time
And I wasn’t there??!!!
March 22nd, 2006 at 12:50 PM
ya i agree with maya, if u think about it, patton`s voice (to me) changed completly from king for a day album, if u compare it with the real thing`s voice, then u ll know what i mean, but this change started in angel dust ( its like the voice of a young boy against a man`s voice), thats why i like more live concerts from 1995, from there u can really hear this evolution, and am grateful that i saw that in my country (monsters of rock`95) a damn great show (they started with ricochet, passin for “glorybox” cover and a “take that” intro song to “i started a joke” haha) and that wouldnt been the same if patton would own his older voice…
March 23rd, 2006 at 6:57 AM
WOW I totally agree with wou, exept my favorite concert is THE GENTLE ART OG MAKING MONEY

Just kidding…:)
Sooooo cool concert, It’s recorded well, so I can listen it in my car VERY loud
And I have Monsters Of Rock, and it’s good ,ok pretty good….well IT’S GREAT hahaha, hey why don’t you write me on mail any more? Well, you guys are all the same, you get what you want and dissapear
March 23rd, 2006 at 10:27 AM
The first live bootleg I heard was the Phoenix Festival and that’s my favorite
I’d also like to see the show where Patton drinks from his Dr Martens boot
In the “The Real Story” book the author says its urine, but I don’t believe. This shot can also be seen in the “Easy” video
Ohh Maya thanks for signing my guestbook hope I get to see you in the Japanese Music room
March 23rd, 2006 at 11:52 PM
OOOOH METAMP, I think you won’t see me in japanese room, but you could see my boyfriend hehehe,he really likes japanese music (I think it a little wierd
).But if you tell me when you’ll come there,I’ll be glad to come too
to chat a little.
March 24th, 2006 at 3:37 AM
I think this whole Patton voice thing stems from when they were recording Angel Dust. I read somewhere Matt Wallace the producer explaining how he wanted to change the nasel tone to his voice and got him to try singing more naturally.
March 24th, 2006 at 6:17 AM
The real story? Where can I buy this book? (It was just my birthday, here is idea hahahahaha)
March 24th, 2006 at 11:31 AM
Maya Look on eBay “The real story”
I’v seen one few weeks ago
The book is out of print the original price was $12 in us
it sells on eBay for about $30
March 25th, 2006 at 3:56 AM
well, this is not such a good news, because i can’t buy anything from eBay, couse i cant pay there. I can buy only stuff from amazon, they have arrangment with our country
March 25th, 2006 at 4:22 PM
Slovenia is a member of EU if I’m not mistaking and also the only member of EU from the eastern block that needs no visa for US
March 26th, 2006 at 4:06 AM
you are not mestaken, but we have different credit cards, so we cannot pay in america?
March 27th, 2006 at 5:09 AM
I don’t really like his voice at all before Angel Dust – its quite irritating really. But he sings “Capt Midnight” on Mit Gas in his “old way” and that really really suits the song well.
March 27th, 2006 at 5:10 AM
By the way is this DVD coming to the UK?
March 27th, 2006 at 6:26 AM
I must agree with you Pope,
about dvd coming in the UK I have ho idea, I don’t even know where UK is (right mark bowen)? hahaha
March 27th, 2006 at 6:55 AM
Ohhh it’s somewhere near Ireland I think Maja:):):)
March 27th, 2006 at 7:18 AM

March 27th, 2006 at 12:16 PM

March 27th, 2006 at 10:14 PM

March 27th, 2006 at 10:47 PM
If this guys insist in bring out this dvd set with nothing new, i probably would buy it just cuz thats the only thing on dvd released untill now, thats the only interesting thing about it, i wonder; it exist another different reason to buy it??
March 28th, 2006 at 6:28 AM
Metamp, ok you say America incase English people don’t know what USA means! Jesus, did you not go to school?
March 29th, 2006 at 7:26 AM
The new DVD comes with an action figure of Mike Patton and accessories. True.
March 29th, 2006 at 11:27 AM
lo estaba esperando, pero es un buena noticia, donde lo puedo tener.
March 29th, 2006 at 9:20 PM
What about puffy action figure??, i always wanted that with his drums as accessories …….lol……
March 30th, 2006 at 1:57 AM
HEY IRISH,WHAT ACCESSORIES? WEDDING RING AND MICROPHONE?
March 30th, 2006 at 12:12 PM

Star,I think this is a little grose!!!???
Well, still better than pissing in his mouth hahahaha
April 10th, 2006 at 1:13 PM
‘You Fat Bastards’ is listed on Amazon for May 23rd. No listing for ‘Who Cares A Lot?’ or any indication of a double-DVD set.
Still better than nothing
April 17th, 2006 at 6:44 AM
Amazon have since updated the page. From the dishearteningly barebones cover art I guess it is a double feature, but I doubt there will be any additional material than what was on the videos. Will be nice to have on DVD regardless.
Anyway here is the cover art:

April 18th, 2006 at 5:16 AM
Looks like not much love went into it.
April 18th, 2006 at 11:38 AM
They wasn’t exactly up all night thinking about it were they?
How does anyone go about making a record company release some old live footage ? Petition them ?
Does any one know where this has been tried and its worked?
April 19th, 2006 at 1:25 PM
Holy fuck, deffo a lazy approach on the front cover. Still, at least it’s finally something. Sometimes I wish I was into wuss-metal i.e. some fucking bell-end with black nail-varnish and those bastard boots with flames on them so that I could pick up proper live dvds, see promo videos, etc…….
……on second thoughts, maybe not.
April 20th, 2006 at 12:25 PM
Pascal Chimbonda, do you really have silent agreement with Paul Jewel to leave at the end of the season??
April 20th, 2006 at 1:05 PM
So impressed with Wigan this season!!
April 21st, 2006 at 10:13 AM
Messers Pope and Bowen
I take it you’re both English, then! Yeah, silent agreement my arse….me feels the fucker is trying to pull a swift one on Jewel!
Might change me moniker to Jimmy Bullard……………..
By the way, note to everyone on here – I’ve tried to tell ipecac that they should film Patton gigs and then sell downloads on their site. At least we’d then be able to see top quality footage of gigs that we can’t get to.
Ipecac pretty much told me to fuck off! Hahahahahahaha!!!
April 21st, 2006 at 12:54 PM
Yeah fair play to Wigan – I thought they were just setting themselves up to be the whipping boys when they got promoted
but they have shown a few teams up (mine included)
(aren’t we meant to be talking about Patton/FNM etc here ?!)
Man City for the cup! (Well, next season anyway…..)
April 21st, 2006 at 1:04 PM
Popester
Aye, let’s fuck off the football!! I don’t know why I call myself Pascal Chimbonda cos I’m actually a mag!!!
I suppose it’s better than signing on as Lee Bowyer………
April 22nd, 2006 at 7:44 AM
I Fookin love Fantomas n fooootyy n avin fights!
April 22nd, 2006 at 12:01 PM
Wor fuckin legs killin’ me man play me some fookin’ Mr Bungle quick!
April 22nd, 2006 at 12:50 PM
Hahahaha! However, don’t you get the impression that the fucker is into Kanye West/Fiddy or some other wank?
April 23rd, 2006 at 11:41 AM
Noo way man! an’ i’ve heard there’s a Mike Patton night in a club doon in Oz soon and somebody’s organizing a circle jerk for it – an’ I tell ya man as soon as they play summat off Disco Volante Ill be tha first t’start tuggin’ away!
April 23rd, 2006 at 12:51 PM
Classic!!!
Minging thought, mind…
April 24th, 2006 at 4:57 AM
Whats he like that Alan Shearer?
Tell you what though the times I’ve wanted Sky Sports to use A Small Victory as the playout song after City have tonked Man Utd after a live game. I think theres a whole load of stuff that would suit that part of the programme from Mike P but will never hear it…Unless someone in Sky buys PT…
April 24th, 2006 at 5:57 PM
Uhh, I know I’ll come off stupid saying this, but…How do you download stuff off of DC++? I really, really want to see that 4 hour Angel Dust sessions thing.
April 25th, 2006 at 4:37 AM
Hey, I dunno about that man but I found the whole thing on soulseek.
April 25th, 2006 at 5:25 AM
I got it on ebay and really its crap. It shows Patton telling Jim Martin about a granny bumping hear head after she found a dead cat under a table in a diner which is quite funny, and the Patton interview is ok – over 30 mins but the rest of the band being interviewed is boring and there’s hardly any stuff being played. Also (and this may not be the case with other copies) the quality was very poor – taken from a video with poor tracking and put on DVD.
But then again if you download it for free its worth looking at.
April 25th, 2006 at 2:21 PM
Eh, shit. I don’t have soulseek. But I do have LimeWire. LimeWire, however, sucks. All you can get off of it are FNM videos and not even rare concerts or anything, shit like ‘Epic’ and ‘Easy’. I mean come on, who hasn’t seen those? I saw a bit of the Angel Dust sessions on YouTube, but it’s only 5 minutes or so.
Geesh, how the hell am I going to see it now?
April 27th, 2006 at 4:48 AM
Keep checking ebay but believe me you’re not missing much…..
April 27th, 2006 at 12:47 PM
Jimmy – have you tried http://ftp.bunglefever.com or http://ftp.cv.org? I don’t think I’ve seen the Angel Dust sessions but there is some amazing Tomahawk, Bungle and FNM live video stuff here. Fill ya boots, mate!!!!
Popester – nee chance of Sky Sports playing Patton! Artic Monkeys is about their limit. That fucker who plays his guitar round his neck was voted coolest man in music……..
…….he looks like he has spina bifida, for fuck’s sake.
April 28th, 2006 at 12:46 PM
Hahahahahahaha! yeah he does
Imagine Patton stood next to him in a collaboration!!
April 29th, 2006 at 6:10 AM
Can you remember the day when you would open NME and get a 10,000 word article with FNM on the road? Hopefully, those days will be back now that Peeping Tom is out there.
Now it’s Pete Doherty wearing THAT FUCKING TRILLBY, doing smack, whilst driving THAT FUCKING MANKY JAGUAR. Wearing only one sock.
Had a laugh at Kerrang the other day – it appears that you only need (a) hair-straightners; (b) black nail varnish; and (c) checky deck-shoes to get an interview.
I read an interview with Patton, asking him what the worst band he’d heard was. His reply was: “I’ve never heard them, but on name alone, I’d say ‘Death Cab for Cutie’”.
He wasn’t far fucking wrong was he?……
April 29th, 2006 at 12:32 PM
Yeah its just too embarrassing to be an English music fan sometimes when you have complete muppets like that – everyone knows who he is but noone can name one of his songs – hes just a face for people to laugh at. The only two people I’ve ever had an affinity with are Patton and Robert Smith. Everyone else just seems to be trying to be someone they’re not.
I’m going I’m depressed – my beloved Man City are sinking fast….
Least I’ve got my Maya picture to look at
Nice tattoo…..
April 29th, 2006 at 12:43 PM
Yeah, Popester – Stuey Pearce is having a ‘mare at the moment!!! I just hope Roeder gets us into Europe before his brain goes wonky again.
Patton and Robert Smith? Well, you’ve certainly got a diverse taste, my boy!!!! Bit like admiring Sepultura and Daniel O’Donnell….
…..only joking!! Hey, I’ve got ‘Especially for you’ in my collection. The B-side’s better, though.
April 29th, 2006 at 12:44 PM
Popey and Maya sitting in a tree……..
April 30th, 2006 at 12:19 PM
To be honest I don’t like much metal except FNM and bits of Black Sabbath. I find Guns nRoses etc a complete joke.
People just like what they like though I suppose.
Could Nwecatle lend us 50p to buy a new player or 9?
May 2nd, 2006 at 2:32 AM
Hey! Spare a thought for a poor tractor boy.
May 2nd, 2006 at 10:55 AM
We’re currently saving our 50p’s to overhaul our sack of shit…….
……however, it’s not that bad. We could have Kelvin Davis as a ‘keeper.
Tractor boys = Ipswich? Yeah, bless ya!!!!
Anyone see theFantomasMelvinsBigband in London yesterday? I was right at the front, right between Lombardo and Patton – unfuckingbelievable!!!!!
There was no camera bans (wish I’d fucking known in advance) so hopefully there’ll be some live footage/photos on the usual ftps!!!
May 2nd, 2006 at 12:38 PM
Ipswich eh? If you don’t watch out My Royle will ask for a big payout on a technicality if you sack him ha ha ha ha
May 2nd, 2006 at 10:17 PM
Aye, being shit at your job pays off in the football world….DOESN’T IT, MR SOUNESS!!!!!
Graeme Souness: a man with the knack to take a decent side, spend a fucking fortune and leave them with 7 left wingers and no right full-back.
And he thought Istvan Kozma was a good player…….
May 3rd, 2006 at 1:41 AM
….. and he hangs out with Dale Winton! hahaha
May 3rd, 2006 at 1:42 AM
.. no seriously he does hahaha!
May 3rd, 2006 at 2:09 AM
Does he? I thought Dale would have more taste to be honest!!!
May 3rd, 2006 at 3:05 AM
I’m a little lost here?!… Pascal-I was on Fant.Mel.Big Band in Ljubljana, standing face to face with Patton, took pictures…well,it was unfuckingforgettable
May 3rd, 2006 at 3:15 AM
hahaha good point! hahaha. Joe Royle’s safe… for now. errr… Oh and i am still not into Peeping Tom, kinda wish I was but it’s not happening… Ok Mike you’ve done the pop thing now, lets concentrate on Tomahawk album huh?
May 3rd, 2006 at 4:54 AM
I didn’t know myself – too busy being a workaholic – (Groan)
I will be sorting out my soul seek membership then I will be constantly listening to PT (Cheers mi’lady)
Never mind I bet he’ll be back over here 3 times before the years out in 3 different bands ha ha ha!
What did you do Mr Chimbonda ? Drive down ?
By the way at least you are climbing the table – I predict (more) doom and gloom next season with us and Villa struggling – everyone else seems to be on the up.
If I can just win the lottery…..
May 4th, 2006 at 4:04 AM
CHEERIO!!
May 4th, 2006 at 12:38 PM
Maya – can you post any of the photos on http://ftp.cv.org??? Are they good quality? Patton was wearing a ‘Disneyland’ t-shirt…..looked cool as fuck!!
Oh, god – I’m going gay again…….
Popester – I got the train down. I was sat opposite some geordie slag, who’s kid screamed all the way to Doncaster. And she fucking smelled of wet rich tea biscuits. Christ, I’m not painting a very good picture of our townsfolk, am I??
Yep, roll on Patton touring Peeping Tom, Tomahawk and some more impromptu Fantomas!!!!!
Can I just say: BLACKBURN, YOU BASTARDS!!!!!!!!
May 4th, 2006 at 1:48 PM
I don’t think she likes football!
May 5th, 2006 at 2:38 AM
McClaren – I knew it, quite pleased really.
May 5th, 2006 at 5:20 AM
Has someone in the FA Started a Joke? Its got me crying!
Continuity yes but come on ! It was only 3 months ago Boro fans were throwing their season tickets at him!!
And what a dull man, I can hear him now.
” eh, by heck…well… what a game…it had everything….two teams…playing at their best….phew…I tell you…if you were a neutral watching that…eh…”
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
May 5th, 2006 at 6:36 AM
What is this? Football and formula?? I wish I could add some comment, but I can’t hahahahaha, hey pope,I started a joke? Aren’t you romantic!! uuueeeeeee hahahahaha
May 5th, 2006 at 11:49 AM
Aye, McClaren was a good choice. For Boro!!! They’ll be glad to get rid of the fucker – regardless of whether he wins the UEFA cup.
Which he won’t. And he’s compromised his league position to get there…
….sorry, Maya – we’ll have to tone down the football!!!
Have you seen that Mike Patton-a-thon thing they’re doing in Oz? Wish we could get something like that!!! I went to a local RAWK club the other week – I asked for some Patton and guess what I got?
Epic.
May 5th, 2006 at 1:28 PM
Ok what size venue ie how many would turn up do you think?
Remember it’s not 1992 anymore!
I hear Nottingham is a “hotbed” for Tomahawk fans!
May 6th, 2006 at 12:20 AM
Anyone seen the new ‘Ipecac’ page on ‘myspace’? It’s looking rather sweet!!!!!
May 6th, 2006 at 12:05 PM
I’ve seen it, sweet is the right word
May 8th, 2006 at 10:00 AM
Popester – Rock City is a class venue. When I saw Tomahawk there, I was right at the front of the stage – Patton was assembling his kit and acknowledging the audience.
He doesn’t do that in London cos the fuckers keep trying to bottle him. Why, oh, why, oh, why pay £16 to heckle someone?
Eeh, I remember FNM in Sheffield in ’92 – the days when they came on to ‘Final Countdown’ . L7 were support. The singer was in dire need of a wash……………
May 8th, 2006 at 10:43 PM
Well, pascal, you ARE old if you remember 1992 hahahahaha-just kidding
May 9th, 2006 at 2:27 AM
Angel Dust tour – priceless memories, it actually brings a tear to my eye thinking about it.
May 9th, 2006 at 4:49 AM
Yeah I was at Sheffield too but I didn’t think it was Final Countdown they came on to I thought it was star wars or something – and then they did a work out onstage before they started playing (except the fag hag Jim Martin)! That was funny. I was driving down to the Phoenix festval two years later but wrapped by dads car around a juggernaught parked at a service station so never got there. Bloody FNM!
Remember L& doing “who cares a lot” Piss poor it really was. They were into showing thier fannies around that time weren’t they? (L7 not FNM!)
Maya 33 is not old !
34 maybe….
May 9th, 2006 at 5:06 AM
33 IS old,sorry!
May 9th, 2006 at 5:53 AM
Sweet 26 is NOT
hehehe
May 9th, 2006 at 7:15 AM
HEY 34′s a great age… I mean good not old hahaha. I actually saw FNM at Dingwalls London (a dirty little club) in ’88 with old Moseley when I was 17. At the time it changed my life musically but just a distant memory now…..
May 9th, 2006 at 8:05 AM
My life changed after The real thing (not much after you mark) but I saw them in 1994 for the first time
May 9th, 2006 at 11:58 AM
I’m 31 so it’s nice to know I’m not the oldest fucker on here, hahahaha!!
Maya’s 26: it’s all downhill from there, kid – children give up their seat for you on the bus and no-one knows what you’re talking about when you tell them about your favourite kids TV programme as a child………
So, Maya – you were into FNM at 14? Good taste – at 14, I was into Kylie Minogue (bless her!!).
Popey – FNM deffo came on to ‘Final Countdown’ – I’ve got the concert on CD!!!! I saw their last gig at Phoenix with Jim Martin – I’ve got it on video (Patton’s got the toilet-brush spikey hair and moustache combo). It was amazing – you could definitely tell it was gonna be Jim Martin’s last show cos the rest of the band stood on one side of the stage and Martin was on the other!!
I never saw Mosely as FNM singer. C’mon, whatever anyone says, he was shit and Patton does ‘Mark Bowen (wahey!)’, ‘WCAL’, ‘Chinese Arithmatic’, ‘Crab song’, ‘As the worm turns’, etc., etc., etc. a zillion times better!!!
I did see Mosely when he was in ‘Cement’, though. He was fucking useless and got heckled; for example:
Man: “Hey, Chuck – tell us a joke”
Chuck: “I don’t know any jokes”
Man: “Well, fuck off then!”
Priceless!!! I still remember that word for word and it happened 13 years ago!!!!
May 9th, 2006 at 12:31 PM
33 may be old to you Maya but I bet you’d be 7 years older any day if it meant you could have the concerts under your belt that me, Pascal and Mark have eh?
1-0
Then again I wish I had my youth back….!
1-1
May 10th, 2006 at 12:46 AM
Well,pope-you,pascal and mark may be cool, but I went through some things too,you know (no matter how innocent I look like hahahaha). Ok,so let’s just say we’re all young,so we won’t fight all the time, but I’m sure that Mark B.is the oldest here
)) hahaha, sorry mark, but the most good looking too hahahaha;)
May 10th, 2006 at 1:28 AM
Ahhhhh Maja you are so kind – your a bit of a fox yourself; well I guess that settles it – I’m the oldest – man I’m gonna have to visit garden centres or something n mix with folk me own age hahaha
May 10th, 2006 at 3:21 AM
hahaha mark,I’ll call you “Mark Grandpa B.” now
Well,maybe I lied and I’m 39, and I send my younger sister’s picture hahaha(I wouldn’t do that, but you never know…) hehehe
May 10th, 2006 at 11:28 AM
Popey, I think I would trade it all in to be 26 again!!! I’ll be sat next to Marky at the garden centre cafe, enjoying a cream tea……
…….God, I’m scaring myself now!!!!!!!
Is there some lurve going on between Marky and Maya???? Sending pics to each other – hope they’re clean!!!!!!
Hey, after Corrie, the match is on – prediction?
I reckon 3-2 to the smoggies. As a Geordie, I’m meant to fucking hate the Boro but I’ll let it go this once!!!!
May 10th, 2006 at 12:17 PM
What ? You haven’t got Maya’s picture? I thought everyone had !
May 10th, 2006 at 12:24 PM
Well, here you are wrong, I just said that I want to picture with Patton, and I did, so I took picture with him and send them to proove
May 10th, 2006 at 1:22 PM
By the looks of things Boro’s gonna lose this one 74 mins in 0-1 – time for a comeback chaps
May 10th, 2006 at 1:25 PM
Uh oh 0-2
May 11th, 2006 at 6:15 AM
Thanks for telling that (about 0-1 and 0-2), I couldn’t sleep all night!!! hahahahahahaha, man I like to joke about sports
well,sorry if I hurt somebody
May 11th, 2006 at 11:36 AM
Boro are arse. It’s official. What a fucking spectacular collapse……
…..couldn’t have happened to a nicer chap. And hasn’t Mr McClaren got lovely new teeth?
Maya – did you speak to Mike? When I went to see Fantomas in London last year, he walked straight past me in the queue – I was so gobsmacked I couldn’t say anything.
Not even something gay like “I love you, Mike!!!!”
Which I have apparently said before. According to my lady wife……..
May 11th, 2006 at 11:52 AM
Top article come on!!
May 12th, 2006 at 2:16 AM
OK OK pope, I think it’s great that this is on dvd, but I have it already,so that’s pretty all I can say about it.:)
May 15th, 2006 at 2:45 AM
Hey guys,
I got my copy, the 5.1 sounds awesome, looks like it is just a reissue of the videos like the Dream Theater collection through Rhino, No Ricochet or Another Body Murdered videos which sucks, but oh well! Well worth it!
May 16th, 2006 at 6:57 PM
ok lets get back on fucking topic here. Does anyone know any bonus features that will be on the DVSs other then what i have scrumbled up: Both VHS remastered and optimized with 5.1 suround sound. the tracklisting does not list this guys in lvoe with you but lists stripsearch. hopefully they will not have taken thatr away…. anyone know anything else??
May 17th, 2006 at 7:17 PM
HDS,
There are no bonus features, they are reissues of the videos directly from the original VHS, Stripsearch & This Guy is still on there, remastered in 5.1, no Ricochet or Another Body Murdered videos, they sound awesome though. Still worth buying!
May 18th, 2006 at 4:29 AM
anyone know if this’ll be released in europe at the same time???
May 19th, 2006 at 12:20 PM
I’m gonna get my copy cos my vhs copies are fucked from watching them so much – shame the lazy pricks couldn’t add any new stuff.
Have you seen FNM doing the Nestles chocolate jingle? Sweet!!!
May 23rd, 2006 at 6:25 PM
Actually, you can see FNM doing the Nestles chocolate jingle on YouTube!! So everyone can see it! I tell you, YouTube’s got tons of FNM, Tomahawk, and Fantomas shit! It’s amazing!
May 23rd, 2006 at 9:03 PM
Info On DVD
ok for anyone wondering how the dvd is that dont have it yet…
Disc 1: Live At Brixton
No special features, but option of 5.1 surroudn sound, or 2.0 stereo..
A song/chapter selection, and finally a Credits option in which is listed everything u need to know…..
The menus are quite nice although not superb…. they are interactive, and the main menu features a revolving 3D box of the VHS cover…. quite nice
Disc 2: Who Cares A Lot
No special features but again option of surroudn sound 5.1 or dolby 2.0 stereo.
Again credits and song select.
The menu is also interactive, but this time features a 3D “?” revolving… quite impressive…
All together the pacakging is a bui rushed, but cant ask for much more….
The dvd cover features both VHS covers on the front and 2 rows in the back listing the songs, along with some shots…
The disc covers are cheap i must say, as they are very blurry… The first disc features a shot of the band performing live,a nd the second disc features a close up of pattons face in the “Last Cup Of Sorrow” video, along with Mike Bordin aroudn his head… again out of focus…
And there is to much dissapointement not even an insert… but be very thankful, as this is as best as it will get…
No one will ever pull this off the shelf and say ok lets boost this release up with supplements and put it back out… so what you see is what you get… but i am thankful for this release and it is not as dissapointing as it seems by looking at the cover.. It gets better when you put it in. haha
May 24th, 2006 at 2:01 AM
Might have to get it – just for preserving the memories – I can feel a tear welling
May 24th, 2006 at 3:47 PM
mmmmhhhhmmmm, preserving the memories, u got that right Bowen, the walls on my bedroom are full of posters and covers of FNM, and when i find some other that i dont have, i buy it just to put it on there, it´s been 8 years now, and i never questioned myself before on keepin this guys alive at least in my hideout lol, anyway, i think its already too late for thinkin about that…. we just keep going for the old times.
As said before i really dont like Brixton concert pretty much, and the who cares alot-greatest videos i have it on VCD, its not gonna be something new for us but at least as hds says, its something to start with, hell yeahh we will own it!!!!
May 25th, 2006 at 12:04 PM
Aye, I’ve bought all the other rushed out FNM compilations so I’m not gonna miss out on this bastard!!!!!
Hahahahaha!!!
May 26th, 2006 at 6:50 AM
I saw FNM live about 10 or so times, I think only a couple of times they weren’t amazing. Anybody out there got some stories from seeing them live? c’mon guys help me out here, my friends tell me to shut up when I mention FNM – well most do.
When I saw them at Astoria London ’97 they came on to this big intro and burst into Be Aggressive except Billys bass set-up wasn’t working and they played the whole song without bass – sounded terrible, after that there was a 10 min break to fix the problem. After that tho the gig was great – they finished with Caffeine and Patton threw himself around and cut his head on some broken glass (from his wine glass) and sang the rest of the song with blood pouring down his head – priceless.
May 27th, 2006 at 11:35 AM
Haha! Got any more live FNM stories?
May 27th, 2006 at 5:40 PM
Hey bowen, i saw ur post and i just got some of my ancient files to check out something, i remembered i had something of billy tellin the story that happened back in king for a day tour times, he spoke about a damn crazy monkey raped the roadie of that times Dean menta, unfortunetly i couldnt find the shit adn i dont remember more details than that, i´ll look more carefully and i´ll tell if i find something……..
BUT off course that isnt the end of the comment, i have something a really damn crazy history of Mr. bungle , actually is a part of the Spruacne interview that i showed up a couple of months ago, is 1 of the freakin shits that happened on california tour and personally my favorite, anyway, hope u all like it. :8
-You guys were booed mercilessly when I saw you perform on that tour in Los Angeles.
We love that. I should say that Snocore brought back some of the fun that our first couple tours had, which was the booing. That’s the good thing that can be said about it. [laughs] I think in 1990 or 1991, we were playing in Anaheim and the Melvins were opening up for us. The crowd decided to boo the Melvins and start a “Mr. Bungle chant while they were playing. This was around Ozma, so it was amazing seeing them in this huge venue. Anyways, they’re getting booed, so we decided to play all our songs tuned down three quarters of an octave and really slow for like, 50 minutes. And we saw streams of people in this 3,000-seat place leave while we were playing. The thing about it is, and I think this is the key to Mr. Bungle – there were about 300 people left by the end of all of that, and they had the biggest smiles you could imagine. The music was intolerable bullshit, and we now have a lot of sycophants who will kiss our ass no matter what we do, but at that time, these people hadn’t really made up their minds as to whether we were great or shitty. But then we ended up playing a real show for them once everyone was gone. And out of those 300 people, I bet you every single one of them is still buying our records. How many bands from 1991 are still making records that people are buying? You see what I’m saying? You don’t have to kiss people’s asses to have longevity or be successful.
Exactly. Just do what you do and people will get it.
And do it thoroughly and strongly, and be unbearably uncompromising about it, and those people will be with you, man. Tom Araya from Slayer came backstage after that show and was fucking yelling at us. “People paid money, you’re entertainers! That’s totally unprofessional! This is bullshit! And I’m sitting there going, this is my hero, Tom Araya! That was a real eye opener. That whole experience, to me, was what set the tone for the rest of Mr. Bungle’s world. And California, believe it or not, kind of fits into all of that. It would be easy to make Disco Volante 2 with John Zorn and all the different people we’ve been doing things with. We could pander to that fucking crowd as easily as we could pander to the people who wanted funk-metal in 1991. And Mike and Trevor and I all came together – we’ve always remained very honest to our muse, and our muse at that point was, let’s do this gigantic… analog production. [pauses and sighs] Fucking nightmare.-
May 30th, 2006 at 3:17 AM
Cool story Star man – Here’s another FNM one for y’all – I saw them on one of the early KFAD tour dates at Norwich UEA (some university) in early ’95. It was a pretty small venue, under 1000 capacity and that meant the band had to use the student canteen to eat. It was bizarre seeing Billy and Patton queing up with trays in their hands to buy some slice of pizza off an old lady working the till. There was a load of fans in there just kinda staring at them which made them a little uncomfotable I think.
The gig wasn’t one of their best as the mix wasn’t all that but most memorable moments were – coming on with Cuckoo For Caca and Patton doing body flips in every screamy chorus bit, playing a lot of stuff from Real Thing album which seemed strange, also Puffy fucked up the start of Ugly In The Morning and Patton stopped the song, threw his mic at Puffys drum kit and told him to concentrate! hahaha.
May 30th, 2006 at 12:55 PM
So……no one knows when it’s being released in the UK then?
I’ve been into just about every music store here in Glasgow and none of they’ve all pretty much said it doesn’t exist.
I’m gonna have to go old skool and buy the vhs.
Fuck.
May 30th, 2006 at 2:33 PM
Great story! Patton is God.
You’d think they’d be released in the UK by now…Hmm, well I live in Canada so I don’t know. Wait a while, they could come along.
June 21st, 2006 at 6:11 AM
It’s out but (still) not available for Region 2 (Europe), dammit!!! I hope that will change soon.
June 22nd, 2006 at 6:34 AM
POWER EQUALS NOISE
June 26th, 2006 at 10:18 AM
yeh it better change soon goddammit!!
i feel like a twat every time I ask the guys in the store if they have it, they’re all “Are you sure it exists?” – eh yes!!!!
i did manage to make a dvd of the videos but i only have 2 of the live performances, at least, I think it’s of the same concert…
July 30th, 2006 at 7:25 AM
