Looking to contribute?

As most of you have noticed, CV hasn’t been very active recently. That’s mostly because this is a one man show and that one man is very busy. So that’s why I am now looking to open this up to allow more people to contribute. I will be doing this in phases. First I want just a handful of people, maybe 5 or 6 to test it out and see if it’ll work. Do you want to be one of the first? Then send me an email explaining why you think you would be a good contributor to CV.

Hi guys…I don’t know if I’m just ignorant, but is it Patton singing “I started a joke” from the FNM greatest hits. I’ve looked everywhere didn’t say that it wasn’t him, but it sounds nothing like him.

  13. Maya Says:

of course it sounds like him,I don’t know what you are talking about?

  14. Super Nintendo was the best system Says:

No for real? are you just joking? THAT’s really him?? I swear to God i had no idea it was him, I know he does a lot of different voices, but that sounds nothing like him to me. are you sure? or u messing with me?

  15. volkovisk Says:

it’s him….you can recognize when you listen the last chorus almost in the end, it’s the same tone of voice, but he really changed his voice to sing this song.

  16. Maya Says:

i’M NOT JOKING, IT’S HIM,WHO ELSE WOULD IT BE??

  17. Star A . Dreamer Says:

Mike and I care about the Lakers and we really don’t care what you think…i try to end the interviews with a light hearted question….why the fuck should we care if you like the lakers….I hope you enjoyed all of the information I provided for you….I know you read it and that’s what counts…remember that! I ask the questions…you read them

  20. Star A . Dreamer Says:

man, this is a forum for music fans, u can clearly read it on the top, (take ur mouse and click on ur upper arrow of ur monitor screen, if u want more instructions, just let me know….

GET REAL MAN, realize than out of ur country there are alot of people who likes patton´s music and comes here to get informed, ur “light hearted question” really cant be more irrelevant to them!!, and that includes me off course.

if u make interviews and u want to progress in the proces u should accept what am saying, as an advice, remember that! we make suggestions….u consider it

  21. Mark Bowen Says:

Hey Tensticks, try climbing out your ass, any fucker can ask the dumb ass questions you did!

  22. vi-iv-vii Says:

  38. Don Says:

Alright, allow me a rare moment to geek out a bit. After listening to it for about a week (right now, in fact) fairly exclusively, I must admit, I’m retarded in love with the Peeping Tom album right now. Really, really into it (and yes, I swear I will buy this damnn thing ligitimitely when it comes out late May…probably a number of times for friends). Anyway, I don’t know if it’s just simply been a while since I’ve given myself over to an entire album that was so unabashedly pop… or it really is that good; only time will tell. All I know right now is…jesh. Every song seems (lyrically, at least) to be a satire about allot of the content of current, radio-friendly pop music. Musically, however, it’s a pure celebration of the grooviest and most catchy aspects that the genre currently has to offer. Of the eleven songs, the only one that I really don’t love, (strangely, considering my intense love for Lovage) is the song with Nora Jones). Oddly, it seems like a well intentioned, yet calcultaed, mis-fired …although it is fun to here Nora Jones say the words “muther-fucker”.
I can’t believe that no one’s thought to use a different prodecer for each track on a whole album (maybe he’s not,but I’ve haven’t thought of him). Even though allot of these producers have shown to have wildly different tastes, the album itself seems incredibly cohesive. Having been an enormous fan of KIid Koala, Amon Tobin and Massive Attack for a number of years, it doesn’t surprise me that I’ve been drawn to their tracks first first, though
Anyway, I’m curious to see how folks react to this. As mush as I love the fact that people I don’t respect have never gotten into Patton’s music, if there is any justice in the world, this album will be in wide circulation; and If that happened, it would almost rstore my faith in humanity…Almost.
Anyway, however you slice it, this album will be the soundtrack to my up-coming summer. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. D.

  51. Maya Says:

cmon star a.,people here are trying to be serious :) hahahahaha

  52. Star A . Dreamer Says:

Mhhmmm, Peeping tom, definitively a damn weird disc of Patton, i really didnt expected anything with this one, so basically am not dissapointed or happy about it, but i gotta say this is very different from what i was concludin by the demos, some songs simply doesnt fit well in there, actually i agree with the people wich say that some songs shouldnt be there to make from the album a most solid one, am still wonderin who da hell is norah jones (by any chance is some poor try of lovage old times??) or doseone, i founded too many shades of rap or hip-hop, wich to me is the same shit, i cant imagine Patton with golden rings or necklaces with a big yankees t-shirt singing songs like “how u feelin? on a broklyn alley. To me, are too many changes from what am already used to listen, but if thats the case, then what about makin some music with Zack de la Rocha??, now that would be fukin awesome!!!!!…..
i dont understand why people are complainin about the lyrics, everybody must know by now that Patton lyrics arent just the most philosophical ones that we have ever heared, the lyrics are just crazy and thats the bottom line, is not the most relevant part of patton´s music. The point is why should i care about patton singing “oops i did it again (like other pop bitch), even if he wouldnt said that in mojo and would been replaced with “fuk u all for example, the song would be the same thing, that fact doesnt change anything, even a little. i dont know, maybe in next P.T disc there will be some commercial chorus in a few songs, maybe trash like backstreet boys or puff daddy, are u gonna crucify him just for that??? lol…
In the end, a weird and interesting offer, but quite different too, i´ll stay with a couple of songs, “your neighboorhood spaceman, “mojo or “dont even trip are quite good, i can identify in there the patton that i like to listen, maybe a few more songs, but the rest arent just the perfect complement to convince me to be a P.T fan.
Next to come is new Tomahawk´s album, Mike please remember that Tomahawk is quite different from the other stuff u make !!!!!!
