April 6th, 2006 at 4:02 PM

April 6th, 2006 at 10:11 PM
Fucken awesome. Unfortunate though. I’m from Melbourne, not Sydney. About an hour flight or so… Wish we had something like this in Melbourne. That would be the best!
April 6th, 2006 at 11:15 PM
we’ll i’m from Israel, and i just wanna say: “Oh poop, i wish i was back in oz.”
and if the dude in the comment above me can’t make it from Melbourne, then he’s a wanker.
cheers.
April 6th, 2006 at 11:30 PM
I’m there!! hmmm, wonder what the exciting secret will be. It couldn’t be Patton performing a secret show… i doubt he has the ego to show up at his own fan party.

“To top it off, we have another exciting announcement regarding this killer night that we will reveal closer to the date!”
doesn’t Peeping Tom drop around this date?
if the man is putting in an appearance, i’d like to know pretty soon to book flights..anyone got inside info?

“and if the dude in the comment above me can’t make it from Melbourne, then he’s a wanker.”

Well if Patton himself was there. Then fuck yeah I would go. But I’m not gonna fly to Sydney just to listen to a DJ play all his shit. I could throw my own party like that. But if they had one in Melbourne then I would definately go. In fact I emailed the dude at the email address on the bottom of the article on the website and trying to see what venues would host a similar marathon down in melbourne. If I can find one that will be perfect I’ll try and organize it. Have fun in Israel fucker!
April 8th, 2006 at 11:17 AM
I would like to hear adult themes for voice played on the dance floor. I wonder if anyone would nod there head to it, still funny though!
April 8th, 2006 at 12:27 PM
Giulio is right! like i said you can do that shit in your own house. do you guys think peeping tom will tour the u.s.?
April 8th, 2006 at 12:29 PM
is the faith no more video really coming out on dvd? and if it is, when?
April 8th, 2006 at 7:53 PM
you guys just dont get it.
patton does not want dumb fans like you.
why do you think he make more and more noise stuff now.
it is to shake you guys…yes you guys.
can you imagine a “kurt cobain’ night…. think about who would attend such a night, nirvana music fans, or FANANTICS who worship posters of kurt
you seem like school girls, just start a band suckers
April 9th, 2006 at 4:26 PM
^you think that the only reason Patton creates “noise stuff” is to shake his fans?!…right, we’re dumb. Putz.
April 9th, 2006 at 4:50 PM
i just mean that he is releasing less and less commerical stuff.
if he wanted to be adored (as in “mike patton nights”), he would have stayed with faith no more.
i am from sydney, and would be to embarrassed to go to that thing. imagine all the little kiddies trying to out do each other.
April 9th, 2006 at 8:04 PM
Regardless of who is trying to out do who, it will be a great night. I think the collective atmosphere of so many Patton fans in the one place would be something that would be worth being part of.
Hey Johny, does your phobia of looking like a poser keep you up at night or stop you from having fun normally? Or are there underlying issues involved here?
April 9th, 2006 at 10:34 PM
He’s creating less and less commercial stuff? I’m listening to the new leaked peeping tom album now… it’s pretty commercial man. I think mike makes music that he wants to listen to, and not created for his fans. Fortunetly i for one like his taste in music.
I don’t think the entire thing will be full of “kiddies”. I’m 26 and I’m not try to out do anybody… just interested in meeting people who like good music.
April 10th, 2006 at 1:55 AM
I reckon he’d find the whole ‘Patton Night’ thing pretty amusing, although everyone’s a fan of someone or something including Patton.
April 10th, 2006 at 5:08 AM
i remember when me and my bro were kids we used to see how far away we could piss into the bowl.. guess where this is going…cop orgies ROCK!
April 10th, 2006 at 6:33 AM
i found a link with the final version of the peeping tom record, and i could hear it !!!
its really good, nothing special but good. its similar to the demos and the special guests did a great job, specially rahzel and dan automator in the song “mojo”.
well….it’s a pop record, not so radio friendly all the time, but has some songs that could play in the radio.
its not excellent….but it’s good.
April 10th, 2006 at 6:43 AM
i was listening the new peeping tom record (the final work, not the demo) and the record is really based on that demos that we can find around the web. some of the songs are the final work of some demos.
it’s a pop record, not radio friendly all the time, but its has some “singles” that could play in the radio.
its not a excellent project, but its good…..stupid lyrics (you know, pop songs = stupid lyrics) but it’s very funny, what changes everything. the vocals are pretty normal and the best song its the second one (mojo – with rahzel and dan the automator).
April 10th, 2006 at 11:16 AM
seriously, is there going to be a fanboy circle jerk?
that’s all that is missing.
April 10th, 2006 at 5:27 PM
i can confirm they’re playing the new release of peeping tom.
which is out in the usual places by the way.
April 11th, 2006 at 7:29 PM
To embarressed to go to a mike patton themed night, but yet NOT embarressed to jump on fan message boards. mmmmmm…interesting. I agree with Fun_stoppers_die. hahaha. I think our friend Johny is suffering from a bad case of the dreaded “too cool for school syndrome” very unfortunate. let this be an example kiddies.
“its just a phase, you’ll grow out of it” (maybe?) good luck with life and everything Johny.
April 11th, 2006 at 9:25 PM
‘less and less commerical stuff” yeaaaa ok…..
anyway, who cares what Mike thinks…if a bunch of people want to get together to listen to a bunch of his music, why can’t they? stop being a jaded old fart johnny, you sound like a gay guy who suddenly became attracted to vagina and is now disgusted with himself…even though he wants to eat that kitten with all his might.
GET OVER IT. eat a sandwich. get cancer.
April 11th, 2006 at 10:44 PM
true, actual patton´s music is less comercial, but that is a patton´s problem, and a fans party in his name, isnt and if u dont wanna join, its ur problem, is the same for people who doesnt hear patton´s newest works, but they love old ones probably more than anyone of us, i mean all fans are free to do watever they wanna do, maybe the fact that u could know some people who likes same kind of music and changin opinions with them could be kool, thats the only reason why i think should go, but am not even near to australia lol
April 12th, 2006 at 5:13 PM
Just because he’s making different music to what he did 10 years ago doesn’t mean he’s shaking his fans. He’s just evolving the style of music he plays. I’m a fan of all his major projects (and some not so major) from faith no more to fantomas… So for me, a night such as this would be perfect. You’re just a Nazi johnny…
April 13th, 2006 at 3:36 AM
Well Giulio, aren’t you nice,
but I must agree with you, sometimes it’s cool to change style, but sometimes it’s cool to not change it (MELVINS) hehe, they have the same music for all this years
but ok, they are cool.Peace JohnnY!!!
April 14th, 2006 at 3:27 AM
Cut the bullshit. If you’re a massive Patton fan then its perfectly understandable that you would like to go to places where Pattons music is played and where other fans are. Simple as that. Jonny or whatever your name is, stop being so pathetic and elitist and get a life.
April 20th, 2006 at 3:04 AM
Stop all the hating, or Ill play black eyed peas ‘where is the love’ till you all cry…. each to their own – tipsy mcstagger (real name) said it best when he said its cool to hang out with ppl with similar interests while listening to tracks that you enjoy – sounds like johnny got a little bit of sand in his gina LOL
April 21st, 2006 at 2:39 AM
I hate to say it, but almost every song on the PEEPING TOM album SUCKS! OOOH, I’ve been waiting for this so long, and am SOOOO disappointed.
Three of the demos made it onto this album. Demo #7 is track one, “Five Seconds. Demo #5 is track 5, “Your Neighborhood Spaceman. Demo #2 is track 8, “Celebrity Death Match. The demos were MUCH better… in these new versions, almost all the words have been changed, but the worst part is, Mike’s singing is not as good! I couldn’t believe it! His singing is pitchier and much more nasal now. Also, the last track “We’re Not Alone Remix is not a great remix of the original. In fact, it sounds like everything that was good in the Dub Trio version was now fucked in the ass with a dry dick!
AAAAaagh! What happened to this?!!! This is truly my FIRST disappointment with Patton, out of all of his projects.
April 21st, 2006 at 1:22 PM
I agree with Johnny. Patton’s about the music, not the popularity.
April 22nd, 2006 at 3:43 PM
Basically, it could be good or it could be shit and I doubt any of us are gonna fly out there to find out…. mind you I could do with a holiday hmmmmmm
April 23rd, 2006 at 9:20 PM
i’m from melbourne and me and my mates are gonna take a road-trip up just for this. we had the pleasure of chilling with patton at the melbourne fantomas concert last year. it’s fair to say that he was absolutely insane. god this’ll be fucking sweet. can’t wait for girls of porn.
April 23rd, 2006 at 11:12 PM
Then am gonna do something like that in my country,
LOL!!
May 6th, 2006 at 12:30 AM
Well I am damn excited about this event. The chance to be in a club full of people as mad about Patton as I am? Priceless!!!
And thats why I am flying from Perth to go to the gig! Hell Yeah!
Cant wait for the Girls Of Porn!
May 24th, 2006 at 10:12 PM
hmm.
i’ve seen advertising for this thing going around town (i am from sydney), and while it sounds like it’d be pretty fun – what’s the deal with charging punters $25 (US$19) for entry, especially when all that’s happening is someones music is being played over a PA. There’s no bands or artists playing, and yet it costs more than a lot of international bands who come out and play. Talk about a rip off, they could easily do it for $10 and cover their costs.
May 31st, 2006 at 7:26 AM
so…….what was that patton-a-thon like? anybody?
May 31st, 2006 at 10:52 AM
well I came from perth for it and I had the best damn time!
worth every penny!
for all the awesome people I hung with, chatted with, and showed my goodbye sober day tattoo to, you rock, thanks for a wicked night, it was worth it to be in a room full of patton-o-philes and just going off!
3am, me and a bunch of guys head banging to “gentle art of making enemies” absolute gold!
Pete and Max, you rock my world!
Mike is not a god, he is the god!
gratitude and love to all who were there

May 31st, 2006 at 10:53 AM
oh yeah, and the Girls of Porn went OFF!
May 31st, 2006 at 11:14 AM
me again, i have heaps of wicked shots, will let you know when I work out how to upload them all! anyone got anytips? let me know
May 31st, 2006 at 11:10 PM
sounds like a good night. I didn’t have the funds or time to travel from Melbbourne, but it was a good effort getting there from Perth. Gentle Art would’ve been awesome. i’m hoping that someone in Melbourne tries the same thing. Did it seem like there were that many people there that you would call it a success? ie more than what you would get at a bar on a standard Saturday night?
June 1st, 2006 at 12:31 PM
to be honest, not really, but the bulk of the people who went were as mad about the man as me, so it was basically the diehards!
I am debating doing something in Perth but I am guessing our base of Patton fans is even smaller!
Lets see!
June 2nd, 2006 at 9:55 PM
Yeah I’m sure that would be the case. Perhaps you could put a promotion out there and just wait and see the kind of support that it receives and then decide whether to go through with it. I actually think that $25 would have turned a lot of people off, so keep that in mind. Then again, with the price at $25 you’re only going to get the diehards so maybe that is better, I don’t know. Personally, i would rather have more people there that maybe don’t all come under the diehard fan category than have a smaller crowd of diehards. If feasible i would have the door entry at a minimal price. Good luck if you decide to give it a go. Btw, did they play Just A Man and/or Stripsearch? They’re just about my fav FNM/Patton tunes.
June 3rd, 2006 at 12:06 AM
I recall both, and I recall being a pathetic fan and getting a tad manic!
Didnt get the lighters out though!
I agree with the price, but then again I forked out $550 for an airfare too! I think a cap around $15 would be better, I know a group of guys who would jhave loved to have come to the Sydney gig, but then again maybe I know the only Patton fans in Perth! haha
When I have a spare second, filmings finished and life aint so hectic, I think I might explore a Perth version!
Damn straight!
