Patton Playing w/ Dälek Tomorrow
This isn’t much notice, but if case you’re in Victoriaville and looking for something to do tomorrow night (and don’t mind paying the scalping fee if it’s sold out), then you can check out Dälek tomorrow night (May 22, 2006) at International Festival Musique Actuelle in Victoriaville, QB w/ Nels Cline, Mike Patton, Rahzel, Zu, SunnO, KK Null and more!

I know – it’s a fucking pisser!!!
Mind, Dalek are shit – I’ve seen them about 12 times and I still think they’re bollocks!!!
Next time Patton’s in Paris, I’m gonna video the concert – they don’t give a shit what you do over there!! It’s different in London – the bouncers will smash your face in if you try to smuggle a digi-cam in your sock…………………..

I was there last night. The Patton/Rahzel was such a good concert! I had my digicam on me, but the bouncers were really strict about no-filming during the show. That’s why I didn’t get the change to shoot any part of it. I was right in front of “Deus” Patton, the only person between both of us was a though guy starring at the crowd making sure nobody was shooting or recording. I wish I could share with you but some venues are so restrictive. I’ll try top share at least my impression on the show.
Usually Patton plays only in the states, I am really glad we have such good festival (FIMAV) in our beautiful francophone province of QUÉBEC. Sure Patton sang some rhymes about the weather: “It’s cold tonight in fuckin’ Canada”. But it was fun to see him trying to get around the language. He started the show singing “Bonsoir” and at some point he tuned in to local radio stations. It was funny to see Patton and Rahzel jam on top of Québécois pop songs. One of the radio stations was something like Radio-Gallilée (religious radio-station) and we could hear stuff about Jesus with the two vocalists improvise on top. The crowd could understand the meaning of it, but the two artists had funny looks on their face (they can’t understand le Français). At some point they invited the MC from Dalek on stage to rap a bit. An unforgettable evening.
Thanks to Le Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville for having such a good show in Québec. I think the next lucky people live in Wisconsin (JULY 29th).
Longue vie au Dieux Patton.
Jean-Philippe
N.B. Don’t forget Patton on Conan O’Brian this week-end.

I was there too, and it was really sweet
a lot of retards in the crowd, but all in all a good evening. Dalek were great, and so were Rahzel and Patton. I’d do ANYTHING for a recording of that concert, but it seems unlikely. I’d love to know which performances from this festival will be released under the festival’s record company this year. I hope the Keiji Haino concert will be, that was sweet
If anyone there heard someone ask Mike to play Mojo, it was me and my friend hehehe

Hey, Jonathan Davis from Korn hinted that Peeping Tom may be on the Family Values tour this summer! This would be HUGE!!!

Jean – you lucky bastard!!! I saw Patton/Rahzel at the Leeds festival a couple of years ago – it was amazing. Patton was singing ‘Barbie girl’ by Aqua – great stuff!!! Can you tape the Conan show and put it on http://www.youtube.com (or something similar?) – you’ll be one popular muthafucker if you can manage that one!!!

Luck you JP Major! I wish I was there but I had to work this night (overtime 300%, I had to do it hehehe). It’s true that the Festival’s staff always bring on cool projects and Patton looks like he loves to come here each and every year. He didn’t come last year tough…I was there for the last Fantomas/Melvins Big band show back in 2004…
