  1. Martincore Says:

Another cool interview, but I think this is the funnyest part(and interesting as well):

“Despite occasional offers to regroup, Patton said he’d never agree to a Faith No More reunion.

“Every four or five years, some Svengali who thinks he can change the world comes with a briefcase full of cash and makes a crazy offer,” he said. “And it’s not easy to (refuse). It would be very easy for some of us to rehearse for a couple of days, smile and cash the check. I’m not at that point. I got enough things on my plate. Maybe if he comes with two briefcases full of money…”"

    lol!

  2. The Pope, Rome Says:

….well that will set off another FNM reunion debate..!

At least there’s hope! Reading in between the lines they must have had an offer recently.
Lets get a collection going at least for the suitcase if we can’t get enough to pay them!

Sounds like he’d be up for it in a year or so :)
I bet the others are chomping on the bit – hey guys – i’ll be your singer !!!

  3. Matt K Says:

As much as I would love to see an FNM reunion, I don’t want to see it either. Fact is, a lot has changed, and really, when I see all of these really old bands playing together again, it really does look like they are just too broke and too uncreative to bother doing new things so they rehash the same crap they did 20 years ago.

FNM was a quality band and produced great music. I think by doing a reunion gig for the sake of making some cash is just pointless. The fans know what the band did and know how great they were. The last thing I want to see is the band on stage in wheelchairs and diapers belting out half rate versions of their own music because their too old to remember how they played them. I’d much rather savor what they did in their time period and relish in the fact that I was a fan all along, and still am.

  4. Maya Says:

What about the FAITHNOMORE-MRBUNGLE-FANTOMAS-PEEPINGTOM-LOVAGE-KAADA-MELVINS-BIGBAND hahahahaha ;) But I agree with Matt, they would seem stupid if they would try something,it’s better that way, that we have them in good memory :)

  5. OmniWan Says:

Everyone get their peeping tom cd yet? The design is cooool.

  6. Martincore Says:

    …oh yes, the Anthrax-reunion… wasn’t that grand…? ;)

Anyway, I’ve seen FNM live once, supporting Album of the Year, and that’s enough for me, really… I wouldn’t want to see a reunion just for the sake of the reunion. But if FNM got back together to make an album, and decided to go on tour afterwards, then I’d probably want to see it… but somehow I just don’t see that happening…

  7. K(evy)n Says:

I love Faith No More, but I am glad they broke up before turning into a Metallica or Kiss kind of band, though we all know that would never happen…

  8. The Pope Says:

Sorry but I disagree – the front man is what makes the band/show at the end of the day and what is Mike ? 36? Thats not old, he’d still be throwing himself around! And the others ? They’d love it !
Anyone else and yes i’d agree wholeheartedly but FNM? Theres life in the old dog yet!!
Maya – you’d be the fisrt one with a ticket!

  9. Bill Says:

I would like to see a reunion if they came back and worked on some material that is new and fresh.. maybe an entirely different direction than before.. not just a rehash of the past. Then, after they flesh out some new tunes and get the juices flowing, record an album of the new material and tour behind it, playing a mix of the new tunes and old.

If they just came back for a reunion tour, I would still go, because I loved seeing that band live, but I would much prefer a new set of music that is different than what they have done already. Something really surprising and new.

  10. Fantomas No More Says:

mmmmm, can I borrow 2 briefcases of cash from someone.

Come on people, if they reformed we would all be there!!!

my second point would be that if they got the cash I am sure there would be a good 3 album deal thrown in. The record companies are not going to throw cash away without a good return for the money.

  11. Star A . Dreamer Says:

Well, from what i know none of them needs some briefcases with money, i mean, roddy has a damn mansion, why tthe hell he would like to rejoin with the rest and acceept the deal,????!!! to change the carpet???.

i know we all want this to be real, but if they get together again that must be cuz they really want to kick out the world again, and if that happens am gonna the first one buying the ticket show, yeahh even before maya!!! hehehe :P

  12. Yo Mama' Says:

that’s the whole problem. if they returned, I don’t think they’d be willing to think about a second album, let alone a third. I don’t even think they’d even approach the idea about a new album, either.. more than likely they’d just go out on tour to gauge the reaction and if they’ve still got it.

and fuck yeah, I’d go to every show on the tour that I could. I followed that greasy motherfucker across the Atlantic – you’d better believe that if my favorite band is touring here in the States, I’m seeing every show I can.

  13. Maya Says:

Pope:I wouldn’t be the first one with a ticket for FNM, but I would be for Mr.Bungle hehehe,I still stand behind my opinion about reunions, they’re just not cool, aha and mike is not 36, he’s a litle older :)

  14. Jason Says:

Referring to the FNM talk, it was good to sense that Patton still gets along with the guys in FNM, he didn’t talk any shit about anybody. He’s right about the demise of that band, it’s time had come. Does anybody really want to hear the same album over and over (i.e. Pearl Jam). Rest in Peace Faith No More and Mr Bungle. Rise Peeping Tom, Fantomas, Tomahawk, etc, etc, etc!!!!!

  15. Jason Says:

btw- Patton is 38, born Jan 27, 1968

  16. Pascal Chimbonda Says:

Aye, I can’t see a FNM reunion happening. As much as I love KFADFFAL and AOTY, once Jim Martin left it was only a matter of time. Have you seen that live version of Caffeine where Mike makes Billy Gould play that bass bit for an eternity? If looks could kill…..

Did you know that Bill Gould is CEO of Arrow Records?

God, I bet Patton must be jealous.

  17. Pascal Wrong Says:

Its Kool Arrow Records goddammit.. for chrissakes

  18. jdefarge Says:

It would be nice to publish the lyrics of Peeping Tom. ‘Your Neighborhood spaceman’ seems to be quite nice!

  19. erin Says:

fnm is sort of old now. a reunion would be like those 50 somethings that line up to see barry manilow in vegas. mr bungle on the other hand….i’m w/ whoever said they’d be in line for that one. that’s still mega amazing.

speaking of peeping tom…love that album. he finally fucking did it. i’m no tomohawk fan, just didn’t like the other members, but the peeping tom fusion is soooo ’06. can’t wait for the tour. i feel like i’m in high school again. :)

  20. metamp Says:

The interesting thing about the FNM reunion is that it’s becoming myth
Just like Mike sad if there is enough money on the they he may do it.

I’m not too critical of reunions, there are a few bands that scored high after their reunions or after of decade of inactivity. FNM was a special band that introduced a different style of Hard Rock and like Pink Floyd made a great success with the Division Bell after a decade of side projects, FNM can come up with great album that we will all like.

  21. pattonesque22 Says:

i actually emailed this article to the dude who does this website right when this article came out…..i wonder why it barely has been posted…..

  22. portly jim and his bulbous boobs Says:

much as I love, adore and regularly rub up against the music of FNM wearing nothing but a gorilla’s hand, the last thing I want to see is a fucking reunion.

they were great, and they had the sense to split up before they got shit. let it lie, for god’s sake.

  23. Maya Says:

You can’t have nick like this!! lol

  24. metamp Says:

    Every FNM record was different
I did not seem that they were getting shit
does not matter what anybody thinks I would do anything to see em live once again

  25. Adam Says:

I just found this & thought you folks should know about it.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4qZPUWGrsQ

It’s Mike with Dub Trio performing “We’re Not Alone”. Poor quality, but better than nothing.

  26. Star A . Dreamer Says:

Not only u metamp, not only u……….., however, i think that there it is a really good question that u all havent asked urself yet; If FNM re-join again to make some new music who must be the guitar player???, i know here comes a good argument………

Am askin that to myself from a long time ago, the answer without doubtin for an instant to me is Trey Spruance, why??, he made with FNM the best album i have ever heared, from FNM i introduced to myself more Patton´s music, and i like some of them but, but there is nothing to me so relevant as KFD, even with all that troubles that the band got involved: the Jim martin´s depart, the problem with Roddy, they really came out with a proudly good job, it´s perfect, from the beggining to the end, Spruance understood what the band wanted to do, it is really a shame that the other band members didnt came along with him, they didnt liked him at all………..fuck!!, really a shame……
We all know this is impossible but, its just what i want, if they come to play music back again…

I repect too much Martin´s legacy, but in some point, he sudenly just came into a procces of “in-adaptation” in the FNM enviroment, and only happened just what normaly happens in that cases… he finished with the rest´s patience, and Hudson….., well, he´s a really good guitar player, and he made Album of the year, i only know he is a friend of Billy but, i dunno, maybe its just my taste, i dont like him too much with the rest……..

yeahh, a good good question!!!!!! LOOOOL :)

  27. Craig Says:

Yeah Star, they should reunite and make another album so you can download and steal it like you did with Peeping Tom.

  28. Star A . Dreamer Says:

By the way, i really love KFD B sides too, does anyone know who plays the guitar on “Absolute Zero”??, i coulnd´t find it on PDF discography´, it just appears Dean menta on most of the 5 songs, but not in this one, and do u know if this songs exist as an official LP???, off course that can be found??, i only have unnofficial mp3 record of this songs, but i saw somewhere even a cover, but it was only ricochet´s LP cover….., helps or clues are aprecciated as someone else said :P ….

  29. dmitch Says:

What about people like me? I didnt start getting into FNM until about Yr 8 which was ’97. As a result i missed out on seeing them live and at times it was tough knowing i would never see them. I’m fortunate b/c Patton has had projects post-FNM so i’ve been able to see him several times now. I would love for FNM to tour again. I understand what some of the older fans are saying, but i am certain that there are thousands of people like me that have never caught them live. As a band that is still spoken about quite often i think that there would be plenty of teenagers still getting into them.

Believe me, if i make a lot of money one day, i will be offering 2 suitcases of cash for a reunion. Before that the best we can do is keep speaking about them and make sure that others don’t forget them so that those that have the power are always contemplating making it happen.

Peeping Tom is awesome. Like all great albums it takes a few listens to really get into it and appreciate it but now it is just getting better with every listen. Kill The Dj, Don’t even trip and Not alone are awesome. Not alone is so FNM. It was good to see in our most popular music magazine, the new RHCP album was caned, while album of the week was won by Peeping Tom. In the other popular music mag Patton was front cover and was asked about Kiedis but just laughed it off. I never knew what instigated it, but apparently it was Kiedis criticising Mike for imitating his physical style. One of the things i love about Mike is his down to earth, level headed persona. He doesn’t have the arrogance of Kiedis who thinks he is god’s gift to man and who still hadnt gotten over it in 2000 when he apparently had Mr Bungle kicked off the Bid Day Out line-up here in Australia. What a tool. Anyway, couldn’t be happier with the way the new releases have been judged. To anyone who doesn’t like Peeping Tom, just listen to it again. Cheers

  30. Mark Bowen Says:

Thats Spruance on guitar for Absolute Zero as he did all the KFAD recordings – guess it just didn’t make the album, should of done tho and maybe left out.. I dunno.. Take This Bottle or something. Also i’m pretty sure it was a b-side for Digging The Grave, well in UK at least.

  31. Star A . Dreamer Says:

To eliminate ur stupid theory craig, yes am a Big fan of FNM (yeahh what u call a “fan”) and u know what?? i have most of all that discography original. I payed once for them and i would do it again not thinkin even twice, if they come out with another album, i will buy it no matter what , but u know why ??, cuz i really like them, instead of peeping tom wich is not for me………simple as that, can´t u undestand yet u silly boy?

  32. Pascal Chimbonda Says:

Folks, a FNM reunion will never happen – most notably, Patton has burnt his bridges several times over by slating FNM members in various interviews (for example, check Fantomas interview in Germany on YouTube).

It would have been crucial to see Jim Martin doing the guitar for part for ‘We’re not alone’, mind……..

DMITCH: WHY DID KEIDIS KICK PATTON OFF THE OZ TOUR? Although, Keidis thought that Patton was ripping him off (funk-metal!!!), the Bungle New Year show made sure that Patton was struck off Keidis’ christmas card list forever. You can check it out on YouTube…it is fucking hilarious. Patton has Keidis’ mannerisms down to a tee.

I DO like the Chillies but I’ve always thought Keidis was a cock.

  33. Mark Bowen Says:

Hey, I just read on Ipecac some guy from Blink 182 is guesting in the new Peeping Tom video!!! What the fucks going on here.

  34. ..IPECAC IMPOSTER.. Says:

    hrm!

  35. ..IPECAC IMPOSTER.. Says:

HEY FOLKS..pattons an asshole(and they grow on trees)..what did he say about faith no more a few years ago.. they may get back together but I WON’T BE THIER SINGER…. well if he does decide to do something with them it’s all good…cos i’ve heard him saying in recent interviews MR BUNGLE may get back together BUT HE WON’T BE THE SINGER…sooooo think it may be worth him SELLING OUT just to see bungle do something again….the guys an ASSHOLE and MONEY will bend him….lets just hope he keeps coming up with the goods?????

  36. The Pope Says:

Send us the links PAscal fella don’t be lazy!

  37. MIKE PATTON OF FNM Says:

RHCP Suck. Keidas can’t even sing.

  38. Jimmy Person Says:

Just go to YouTube and type in Mr. Bungle. You’ll see Mr. Bungle doing a 5 minute or so impersonation of RHCP. It’s kickass hilarious, but the comments below just end up becoming this worthless debate about which band is better. All these mainstream Chili Pepper fans start shtting on Mike Patton and Mr. Bungle and all..Major stupidity on thier parts.

  39. metamp Says:

I vote for Gould as the best guitar player LOL :) :)
He vrote most of the guitar tracks on Angel Dust, Only thing that Martin wrote is Jizzlober

Angel Dust is the ultimate masterpiece we can not ague that.
I think Martin was the best Guitar player and think he would work out if the rest of the members got him some counseling

  40. Pascal Chimbonda Says:

Yeah, Popester – follow Jimmy’s advice. Alternatively, go to http://ftp.bunglefever.com – you can download the clips (I think there’s two songs – Under the Bridge and Give it Away, if I remember) from there.

Bungle totally take the piss – they’ve got the ghost of Hillel Slovak and one of them is dressed as Frusciante and is pretending to jack up on stage!

Patton an asshole? How very dare you.

  41. The Pope Says:

Its uncanny ! Are you sure its a piss take and not the real thing ? ;)

  42. dog Says:

As I understand it, the RHCP/FMN clash goes back as early as the early success of FMN, and I guess that RHCP (or simply Kiedis) assumed they were being ripped-off in the style they were creating. Whether or not giving credit to this is a matter of choice (back then bands as Fishbone were sort of doing the same). The Big Day Out episode does not surprise me, since Kiedis was pretty much high on everything until recently and when a headlining prima-donna wants to kick out a “secondary” band, there’s not much that the organisation can do.
Anyway, although Patton is in my all-time favorite line-up (with more or less everything he has ever done), I’m also an admirer of RHCP and I can only feel sad about this dispute, since there is still good music coming from all sides.
And if Patton is regarded as a renaissance man, I wonder what you can call John Frusciante.

  43. The Pope Says:

By the way while I was on YouTube I found this oddity.
I think it works really well !

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX51KD9joM4&search=faith%20no%20more

    Check it out…

  44. lemon Says:

I constantly see people who say “Billy Gould wrote all the guitar parts on Angel Dust except Jizzlobber.” I even read somewhere that Billy supposedly played some of the parts himself. Where’s the proof to any of that? Anyways, I think that Martin’s role is one of the most underrated parts of FNM. I think the rest of the band came to realize that after the guitar player shuffle of doom over the next few years. Martin probably didn’t fit in the band to begin with, and eventually things boiled over, but he undeniably had a major role in developing their sound.

  45. metamp Says:

    I agree lemon !!!!
the rest of the band wanted to play more pop then heavy stuff
Martin was the only one that was influencing them with his metal obsession.
He just did not understand that there is already one Metallica and Slayer and that he has to find a way to make his guitar style go with their music.
If not Martin the Angel Dust would not be such a great album

I love the interview from the “Making of Angel Dust” video

  46. Mark Bowen Says:

RHCP= REM,U2 blahblahblah. Frusciante plays with a lot of soul however.

  47. Mark Bowen Says:

Yeh, Jim Martin did seem like a bit of a cock and I prefered John Hudsons sound, but nothing beats Angel Dust and the tour that followed it.

  48. The Pope, Rome Says:

Mark, you’ve hit the nail on the head fella.
I always get the feeling that Hudson was trying to sound like Jim Martin on AotY

  49. Pascal Chimbonda Says:

You know when something is that fucked up it works? That was Jim Martin-FNM. Apart from Trey, the guitarist replacements were piss. However, the songs were still top-notch!!

Anyone agree that ‘We’re not alone’ could have sat comfortably on AOTY? It’s a goddamn classic. Peeping Tom is a muthafucking cracker!!

  50. bill Says:

    peeping tom is terrible.

    wake up

just because patton does something doesnt mean it’s automatically awesome. this music is garbage

  51. The Pope, Rome Says:

yep just need a good video for it.
Anyone see the vid for Mojo? I read that Fantomas no 1 fan Danny De Vito is in it!!

  52. Mark Bowen Says:

Pope – Danny De Vito’s a dude, a big Bungle fan I read somewhere as well.
My problem is that some guy from Blink 182 is also going to be in the video!! Who knows maybe we’ll see Slash and that guy from Green Day as well.

I think I’d like Peeping Tom if it’d come out 10 yrs ago. Nowadays I’m old and cynical hahahaha.

  53. Pascal Chimbonda Says:

Bill – I beg to differ. What were you expecting? Epic?

  54. dmitch Says:

Bill, have another listen. It may not be your cup of tea but it’s not garbage. Just out of curioisity, are you generally a fan of Patton’s softer stuff like Lovage and FNM soft songs or are you more into his metal stuff? Would you choose Gentle Art or Just a man?

  55. Star A . Dreamer Says:

I would chose both and much more……..lol :P

  56. dmitch Says:

You’re right. Gentle Art is a bad example coz they are both equally awesome. What about Ugly in the morning or Just a Man? In my opinion Just a man kick arse over UITM. I’m just trying to work out if those that are caning Peeping Tom are metal-heads that can’t tolerate anything other than that, or if they generally tolerate most types of music but just don’t like PT.

  57. Maya Says:

    That’s the spirit!!!! :)

  58. Pascal Chimbonda Says:

dmitch – I wouldn’t bother trying to suss these fuckers out. You’ll find the same cunts at Patton gigs shouting “You Fat Bastards”……

…..he loves that. Oh, and he really likes bottles of beer being thrown at him.

  59. Adam Ant Says:

Nah he doesn’t like beer bottles thrown at him. Or if he did he learned his lesson. I think he got a scar above his eye from one bottle thrown at him and he lost all the feeling in his right hand from falling on another one. In one show people were spitting at him(I don’t know why) and he leaned toward the fans and opened his mouth encouraging them to spit inside, I guess he had a dry mouth. What a freak.

  60. Adam Ant Says:

I already saw (or read) an interview where Billy, Roddy, and Bordin talked about the possibility of reuniting but that Patton didn’t want to do it. Billy and Roddy were civil about it but Mike Bordin bashed him saying something like “no matter what projects he gets involved in he’ll always be known as the ex-singer of Faith No More”. Wooh, I wonder what Patton did to Bordin for him to say that. Maybe it’s because Patton always laughs and says Bordin’s “whoring himself around” in interviews, or maybe it’s something more personal. I think they should reunite and get a new singer if Patton doesn’t want to do it, I don’t think they need Patton as much as Patton needs them. Remember, FNM had Chuck Mosley the worst singer in the world and they did allright. They can create great music if they still have the stuff. Maybe they can recruit Axl Rose, lol.

  61. The Pope Says:

“I don’t think they need Patton as much as Patton needs them”
Shouldn’t that be the other way round?
When has Mike Patton ever asked for a FNM reunion?

  62. Star A . Dreamer Says:

Ur wrong pope, it´s obvious he will never admit it, i´ve been thinkin about what could be the real reason why he is still opposin to the idea of a reunion, he said they broke up cuz they wasnt makin good music, but u know, that is not a reason to break deffinitly, sure u can stick around with other guys and make music from a different pattern of style for a couple of years, but after a while, just like right now, the idea of return to the old school music is very atractive. Am sure there are alot of new ideas and some tunes they have in mind, experimentin changes between all this years, breakin the rule of try to fit to the band in just 1 music style, thats the more excitin thing to me involved in an eventual FNM reunion: “how could be this next FNM album???”, i just hope this guy dont stay still for a while in this new hip-hop proyects, he already knows what is this music like, now is time to go to the right place……..where he belongs

FNM will never be the same without Patton, but in the other hand Patton will never be the same either without FNM wheter u all like it or not, Bordin is right, he is still remembered (at least, to the people who not agree with the way he took away himself from the mainstream) as the ex-FNM singer , so i agree with adam

  63. Pascal Chimbonda Says:

Adam – I WAS BEING SARCASTIC about the bottles thing…….

    Ari:
Don’t get me wrong – I love FNM and saw them live many times. However, to say Mike needs FNM more than they need him is scandalous.

Mike has evolved since FNM – look at the shit he uses on stage now as opposed to using one microphone. Mike’s eclectic influences and mentors have made him into more than just an ‘MTV-friendly pin-up’.

Plus, why does he need FNM to get back together when he can record ‘the FNM song that never was’ in “We’re not alone” for the new Peeping Tom album?

  64. The Pope Says:

Star A I actually agree with what you are saying totally! But essentially the comment I referred to for me is a load of bollocks.

  65. Adam Ant Says:

Pascal, you do know that all that great music in the FNM albums outside of the lyrics was done by Billy and Roddy (and to a lesser extent Bordin on drums). Patton just did the lyrics. Sure they were great lyrics don’t get me wrong, but the music was what was phenomenal. They both went great together, but the music was what was most important.

  66. Pascal Chimbonda Says:

Adam – don’t get me wrong, sonna – I love Faith No More and appreciate what you’re saying.

However, as much as I respect Billy et al, do you really think FNM would have been as prominent if they’d retained Chuck Mosely?

I believe that Mike’s influence was the difference between releasing “The Real Thing, Part 2″ and “Angel Dust”.

  67. The Pope Says:

    Hear, hear!

  68. Adam Ant Says:

No they would not of been as prominent with Chuck Mosely since he was the worse singer in the history of the world, lol. FNM had written all of the Real Thing before they hired Patton. Patton became Jim Martin’s friend (go figure) after seeing their shows I guess and gave him a demo of his music. FNM needed a new singer and they were both real lucky I’d say because FNM found a great singer who could come up with great lyrics, and Patton got hired by a group of guys who had just completed an album full of real great music.

Now like I said before, they both went great together but it is the music that is more important. And it wasn’t Patton who changed their music into the kind in Angel Dust, it was Billy and Roddy. Haven’t you seen The Making of Angel Dust? It is clear who did what. Patton’s just hanging around till they finish making the music until he can apply lyrics to it. The Making of Angel Dust used to be in cv’s ftp server but it was removed, I don’t know why. You can still see it at youtube.com though. When they interview Patton you could even hear it straight from Patton’s mouth about who does what.

If Billy and Roddy wanted to make children’s music Patton would’ve had to create lyrics for a children’s album. After Angel Dust Billy and Roddy wanted to change their sound yet again because that’s how they are. I was disappointed when King For A Day came out because I wanted to hear like an Angel Dust part 2, but I still liked the album.

  69. mrCoffea Says:

Wow, I see a lot of you guys saying “we’re not alone” could have been a Faith No More song

    I disagree completely

It sounds nothing like what Roddy, Mike and Billy (or hell, even Jim) have ever written or would ever write. It’s a dub trio song that was remixed for the peeping tom album, and that’s that

I’d love to see Faith No More live. I’ve seen Patton many times now, but I got into Faith No More (like many others) near the end of their run, and never got to see them live. However, if they feel it’s not apropriate to do a reunion for whatever reason, I’ll respect their decision.

And am I the only person that liked Chuck on vocals? I like the albums with Chuck just as much as the ones with Patton. Sure his vocals weren’t as refined as Mike’s, but his lyrics were funky and FNM had a really cool style back then.

  70. Jimmy Person Says:

The thing about the infamous Making of Angel Dust is that even on youtube.com, you only get 3 minutes of it. And the entire making of it is 4 hours. BUT- There’s an interview from it with Patton, and even though he doesn’t discuss the music, he has really flipped up stories about groupies and obsessed fans. It’s funny, check it out.
Also, tons of people would appreciate it if more FNM interviews and TV appearances were put on youtube, so if any of you guys got some stuff like that, put it up!
Anyways, if you guys haven’t already checked youtube, you oughta, because it has an incredible amount of Patton-related stuff. Believe me, you could spend hours there.

  71. Adam Ant Says:

Only 3 minutes? Oh man I thought they had the whole thing on there. I have the 4 hour version (2 cd’s) that I downloaded from cv’s ftp server, and Patton does talk about the music and everything, as do the other members of FNM. They all answer the many many questions they have because it’s MTV. Now this has never come out in stores, and I don’t think it ever aired on MTV(I doubt they would make a 4 hour special for them). Hell people say Angel Dust wasn’t promoted enough by MTV, but I got Angel Dust because I saw it on MTV and heard it on the radio, I thought it was promoted enough. MTV promoted 2 videos of theirs. I then bought the Real Thing because of it.

The thing is I don’t know how The Making of Angel Dust came out of MTV’s vaults. And why it was mysteriously deleted from cv’s ftp server after awhile. Patton back then was very open about everything. Nowaday’s he tightlipped about everything. He doesn’t like to talk about personal stuff. He didn’t even want anyone to know what happened to his hand! I wonder if he even has kids which no one ever asks him. I guess he tells the interviewers “no personal questions” before the interview. Too many stalkers I guess. Anyway Jimmy is right, there’s lot’s of stuff on youtube.com, I haven’t even seen the stuff yet.

  72. Star A . Dreamer Says:

Why KFAD album wasn´t angel dust 2?? very simple, Spruance played the guitars there, besides, he came to the band in the best evolved vocal proccess of Patton, i really never, never heared him singin so damn good as he did in KFAD……..in the end………the perfect combination was done.

  73. Jimmy Person Says:

You have the entire Making of Angel Dust, Adam Ant? Man, you should put some of it up on YouTube. I’ve only seen whatever bits YouTube has of it, but I really want to see the rest. And even if you don’t want to put it up on YouTube, isn’t there some way I can see it?
Besides, I’d like to see more of an open Mike Patton. Nowadays, it seems as if every question he’s asked he gives it a false answer. I’m all for tripping interviewers up, but c’mon Mikey, it’d be nice to hear the truth sometimes.

  74. Adam Ant Says:

Send me a check for $50 and I’ll put it up. Hehe, no I don’t know if I can put it up on youtube.com, I’m not a member and don’t know their rules but they are two .avi files and each one is 700mb! Yeah that’s right. I don’t know if youtube accepts that much, but I can post it in a binary group on usenet if you know what that is. Or I can use rapidshare. I think that would be better cause it would stay on permanently maybe, cause people are probably gonna keep asking and asking for it.

You’re right about him always giving false answers, or he doesn’t answer good questions seriously sometimes. Yup, that’s the kind of guy he is. The guys on FNM where always like that, a lot of people got the sense they were f*cking with the interviewers a lot of the time, especially Patton. Mostly it’s the interviewers who don’t ask good questions, nowadays all they ask about is his crappy music which are the most boring interviews you will ever come across. They’re probably not allowed to ask personal questions, that’s why. There was one interviewer a long time ago that asked something, I forgot what it was and Patton told him there was a line he wouldn’t let be crossed. When the interviewer told Billy about it Billy laughed and agreed Patton had gotten a little sensitive about questions. A major change from holding up his address to the camera like he did in The Making of Angel Dust, that’s right believe it or not. Let me know how you want to download the clips and I’ll put em up.

  75. The Pope, Rome Says:

I bought a bad copy of “the making of” off ebay and resold it after watching it a couple of times. It’s interesting and some a couple of funny stories from Mike about the groupies and a dead cat. It looked like he was getting on with JM at the time. I feel it was a group decision to chnage the sound for Angel Dust and think after that it was Mikes direction all the way. i remember reading someone saying that towards the end FNM sounded like they were turning into Mr Bungle which I can see why ie Mouth to Mouth. We’re not alone sounds to me like FNM/Tomahawk but whatever it sounds like its the best track he’s come out with since Tomahawk.
But everyones got their own opinion….

  76. Pascal Chimbonda Says:

This debate could go on for fucking years……however, Patton did exert a great deal of influence over Angel Dust’s content: isn’t that Mike playing the ‘Malpractice’ riff (which he wrote) on the ‘making of…’?

I hate Mosely – I saw the daft cunt in ‘Cement’. Fuck-awful vocals. Great story Billy tells about slugging the twat in the gut when the lights went out for a concert. Wish I was there.

  77. Jimmy Person Says:

Yeah, that is Patton playing the Malpractice riff. I’ll just paste the writing credits for Angel Dust:
    1. “Land of Sunshine” (music: Gould/Bottum; lyrics: Patton)
    2. “Caffeine” (music: Gould/Patton; lyrics: Patton)
    3. “Midlife Crisis” (music: Bottum/Bordin/Gould/Patton; lyrics: Patton)
    4. “RV” (music: Bottum/Patton/Gould; lyrics: Patton)
    5. “Smaller and Smaller” (music: Gould/Bordin/Bottum/Wallace; lyrics: Patton)
    6. “Everything’s Ruined” (music: Gould/Bottum/Patton; lyrics: Patton/Gould)
    7. “Malpractice” (music & lyrics: Patton)
    8. “Kindergarten” (music: Gould/Martin; lyrics: Patton/Bottum)
    9. “Be Aggressive” (music & lyrics: Bottum)
    10. “A Small Victory” (music: Gould/Bottum/Bordin/Patton; lyrics: Patton)
    11. “Crack Hitler” (music: Gould/Bottum/Bordin; lyrics: Patton)
    12. “Jizzlobber” (music: Martin; lyrics: Martin/Patton)
    13. “Midnight Cowboy” (John Barry)
    14. “Easy” (Commodores)
Yeah, I just copied and pasted it off of Wikipedia. Malpractice is all Patton’s, as you can see.

  78. Jimmy Person Says:

Do you have a file sharing program called LimeWire possibly? That’s what I have. I don’t use stuff like RapidShare but if that’s the easiest way I guess I could. It’d be easier for me if you put it on LimeWire, also because it downloads really fast and painlessly on that.
Well, whatever will work better for you. If you use RapidShare I’ll still get it anyways, so do what’s easier.

  79. Star A . Dreamer Says:

Mmhhhh, i guess that explains why FNM never wanted to play Malpractice live, i assume they only played the songs that they all agree to play, and also that explains why this song is the only one patton keeps singin with other people who have nothing to do with FNM (DEP off course), what a choice uhh??

  80. Adam Ant Says:

Very interesting, where on wikipedia did you find that info? That’s funny, I had not recognized that stuff he was playing on bass as “Malpractice”. Though he himself said it was like a machine Godflesh thing. Leave it to Patton to rip off another lesser known band. hehe j/k. You’ll notice that any time Patton’s given credit in the music section he is at the end, the reason being he played a minor part compared to Billy and Roddy. In The Making of Angel Dust he himself says he can’t write music like it’s supposed to be in the A-B,B-C fashion, whatever that’s supposed to mean. It’s funny cause all the music in their albums was always officially written by “Faith No More” as a band. Billy would never have any part in telling interviewers who took credit for what. I wonder who let the specific credits out. I wonder if Billy was smitten and himself released the credits out now, lol.

Anyway about The Making of, I forgot at rapidshare you can only download up to 100mb’s per hour unless you pay membership fees. Rapidshare’s a German site that let’s you upload stuff, but you’re limited to the amount you can download per hour. There are ways to get around it but I think it’s better to just do it through Limewire, I have that too. I’ll have Limewire open for a day or two and you post here when you’re done downloading it. By the way another way it could be done is through bittorrent which I like much better, I don’t know if you know about that. If you don’t you should look into it, it’s the best way of sharing along with rapidshare. Also Morpheus is much better for finding music, but I’m gonna put it on Limewire.

  81. Jimmy Person Says:

Have you put it up on LimeWire yet? Because I searched for it and can’t find it.

  82. Adam Ant Says:

Yeah it’s a problem, I looked for it myself and coudln’t find my own files, lol. I don’t know why. Sh*t why don’t I just take them to you, where do you live? I’ll fly over there. Hehe, you know what I’m gonna open my own ftp server. I forgot how to do it though, I used to do it a long time ago. I’ll put it up, give me some time to learn how to set it up right. I’ll post in an hour or two and give the address. Now this is for Jimmy only, don’t anyone else be coming in to my ftp server or I’ll kick you out. If anyone else wants it too I’ll either put it up on bittorrent or rapidshare for you. If you don’t know what those are you’re gonna have to learn what they are first.

  83. Adam Ant Says:

Ok Jim, I got it up with Bulletproof ftp server, very easy program to use. The address is 141.155.26.178 login is anonymous and port 21. I hope you know how to use an ftp program to login :)

  84. Adam Ant Says:

Where are you Jim? If you’ve never used an ftp program before I hope you didn’t download Bulletproof ftp server and tried to use that. That’s a server for giving files, not a client for downloading them. In case you didn’t know that. Use Cuteftp or Leapftp and just put in the address I gave.

  85. Adam Ant Says:

Sh*t I think Jimmy was abducted by aliens.

  86. Jimmy Person Says:

Nah, I’m here, I just got off the computer after a while. I’ll do that, thanks.

  87. Adam Ant Says:

Oh well, I shut down my ftp server. I’ll put it up now.

  88. Jimmy Person Says:

Listen, my computer won’t allow me to download a FTP server because of virus risks and whatnot, can’t you try to put it back on LireWire? That’s the only thing I can do now.

  89. Jimmy Person Says:

    *LimeWire

  90. Adam Ant Says:

Hey you’re back, where you been bud? I’m afraid that’s a no-go, don’t you remember we tried Limewire? I put the files in my sharing folder but no one including myself could see them, I don’t know why. I can do it any other way but that way. Why don’t you figure out what’s a matter with your pc, that’s real strange that it won’t let you connect to an ftp server and download avi files. It must be a firewall problem or something, but I can’t help you because I don’t know too much about that. I’ve also got Shareaza, Edonkey, Emule, Morpheus, and Kazaa, where you can try to download from me, they’re similar programs to Limewire.

  91. bungleboo Says:

I’m glad that Mike has no plans to reform FNM. I mean, he’s been pretty productive as of late – why listen to the old when we can have the new?

  92. Star A . Dreamer Says:

Cuz not all people wants the new one……
