Peeping Tom at Vegoose!

Saturday, August 26th, 2006

Mike Patton and Peepeing Tom will perform at the now legendary second annual Vegas freak-out “Vegoose”. A sort of west coast Bonnaroo (same promoters). This jamband heavy festival, with some notable exceptions, takes place Halloween weekend. A very psychedelic freindly space, Vegoose performances, like Bonnaroo, exceed all expectations. Mike Patton on a Bob Dylan tribute album

Friday, August 18th, 2006

Mike Patton is doing vocals on a new Tzadik release: Jamie Saft Trio - Trouble (The Jamie Saft Trio Plays Bob Dylan). “Jamie Saft and his dynamic trio presents a sparkling interpretation of the work of Bob Dylan. A lifelong Dylan enthusiast, Saft is the perfect man to take on this challenging project and his choice of compositions, spanning over four decades of activity, is as creative as the arrangements themselves. Featuring several guest vocalists including Mike Patton and Antony, this is a deep and meaningful tribute to one of the world’s greatest living songwriters, a Jew whose influence resounds in the work of several generations of pop musicians.”

We’re back! …and you can now contribute!

Monday, August 14th, 2006

I think most of the move is over now. There are still a few things to clean up here and there, so if you encounter a broken link, I may already know about it, but assume I don’t and let me know.

You can now contribute to the site yourself! Just click the register link at the bottom of the right column on the home page. Once you’ve registered, you can write your own entries, but they will not be published until I approve them. Please be aware that anything you write might be edited before it’s published, but you will always be given full credit for the entry. Also, if two or more people contribute an entry about the same thing, I will publish the one that was submitted first.

Let me know if you have any problems, and I look forward to publishing community contributed news!

Server Move

Tuesday, August 1st, 2006

We’re packing up and moving everything to a new home. Other the next few days, there may be some downtime here and over at our sister site, Bungle Fever. The move will be done in phases, the first being the Bungle Fever BBS tomorrow night. If things go well, there will only be a few hours of downtime. If things don’t go as well, there will be a couple of days of downtime. If everything screws up, I should have it all back up in a week or so. The goal is to have everything moved, working, and back to normal by August 11th.

Ipecac Recording is no longer hosted on my server and will not be affected by this move.
