It just came to my knowledge that a certain Mr. Patton and John Zorn are set out for a mini European tour this winter.

fuck Europe.. I’m not going over there again for Patton, I can tell you that much!

  2. Tido Fuentez Says:

So does this mean Peeping Tom isn’t doing a big tour on their own? Maybe pushed back to spring? That’s a long time to have to wait…

  3. Batuss Says:

    Well, suit yourself. ;)

  4. Stefano Says:

Yep, as I said few weeks ago when I posted the same dates on an older entry, it’s the MOONCHILD project live…..and of course there’s part two coming up next on Tzadik: ASTRONOME. Same band, same kind of music (I guess).

Moonchild t-shirts available too…this looks pretty much like a commercial operation:-)

    Stefano:

I saw moonchild in London, and I find it hard to swallow that it’s a “commercial venture”. But maybe it’s my american ignorance of what will sell for commercial over in Europe.

I think the dates and places for Peeping Tom is like a microcosm of Pattons frenenticism.

    See you in MILANO!!!

  8. Arthur Says:

Fuck Europe? As in the Swedish hardrocksupergroup you so much adore? I knew you were into that stuff!!

You probably don’t even know that Europe is de capitol of France.

Yes, of course you’re right about the right meaning of the “commercial” label I chose for the Monnchld project. It’s not exactly the right music to relax when you’re tired:-)

But I must admit that after seeing Zorn choosing the “right” band for his tours in Europe (and in the world) depending on which area the tour will cover, I feel a bit suspecting…

…Paris 1992 when the two naked dancers perform weird acting on stage with Houdini de Sade/Painkiller/Naked City are very distant…ahhh, the good ol’ days:-)

P.S. well I will be in Milan for sure:-)

  15. Vera Says:

    Where did you find this?
No Hungarian date, fuck im gonna die ;(((

  16. Stefano Says:

    Vera and Tatann:

Sorry for the two dates canceled. Two years ago Painkiller were supposed to come to Milan but it never happened, so I learnt to be quite suspicious about Zorn dates in Europe.

The webpage containing the Zorn (and other interesting artists) european dates is

    http://www.erjn.it/saudades/concerts.htm

And as you can easily check two new Zorn dates were added:

JOHN ZORN PROJECTS - ACOUSTIC MASADA, SOLO, PAINKILLER
    OCTOBER 2006

    19.10.06 NANCY/France, Chapiteau en Bois
    20.10.06 HEIDELBERG/Germany

The four Moonchild dates are confirmed.

Hey, if it was one place patton WASN’T going to cancel, it was Italy….his wife would fuck his shit right up.

I’m there for the Paris gig - sometimes it comes in handy to have family members in other parts of the world…even if it is a country (and I quote) “full of cheese-eating surrender monkies”.

Stefano, your comment iro 1992 Painkiller - do you have more documentation such as audio recording, any other Italy gigs?

Painkiller October 20, 2006 - performed in Mannheim, not in Heidelberg. Great gig.

Moonchild tour - There was a concert review of Brussels at the Zornlist. But what’s a report’s worth in comparison to a recording?
