Wow this posts been going on for over a year. Congratulations you just wasted valuable time fighting with people you dont even know online. I dont care to even put up my own opinion except for the fact that Patton in my own personal opinion…which is something that not a single soul can change no matter how many replies or offensive non-sense is spewed against …..is a vocal god. You all should come to terms that no matter in what way you diss either Wolfmother or Patton..in the end their just personal opinions. There is no right or wrong…just personal opinions. Although I will agree that Wolf is a re-hash of an outdated genre. Either way, I dont care to change anyone’s opinion. Live long and cosmic and stop the BS!

I basically think mike patton and wolfmother can go on their seperate paths without weaving into each other, I don’t really think even wolfmother themselves were that disturbed by mike pattons comment, their not really losing blood over it.
I don’t like wolfmother myself but I can tell you their really not the badest and most annoying band on the radio or currently out there, my favorite pet peeve’s out the moment would have to be pussycat dolls or fall out boy, i’ve never been more pissed off to hear a band or whatever so often.

by the way, i just talked about wolfmother, but take into account i also like Faith No More and find interesting Patton’s new projects. I don’t think it is not compatible or something…

Okay, i just landed here when doing a search on google and… seriously, what’s the problem with Wolfmother? Probably if they would not have so many fans right now, and Patton had not talked that way about them, lots of you would just be thinking about Wolfmother as “oh, look, they mix raw influences of some of the biggest bands of rock of the 70ies, really interesting doing such a thing nowadays!!”. I am a big fan of rock of all times, and i also like Wolfmother… each time I listen to their record, i like them best.

I discovered them just by chance, listening to some online radio station when their EP was published on September 2004 and then their first record in 2005… Just give them some real opportunity, hear their record and don’t just talk about them as if they were some copy of anything else even without listening to them. As someone said before, “in context it’s a lot of fun”.

I like Wolfmother and Mike Patton…..
I also respect Mr. Patton’s opinion. HaHa!!!!
Zappa, Mayhem, Abba, Gorgaroth, The Monkee’s, The Sword, Q65, The Zombies. Boy, I’m lucky to be alive with such a wide range of rockin’ tunes. All Fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, referring to some of the comments earlier about Mike Patton mentioning some of the 60′s Italian music he’s gonna do, It’s not like he’s gonna be doing it for album after album. With Wolfmother, that’s what they do – 70′s rock….it’s gonna be there album after album after album. They’ve kind of already put themselves in a box and a category which is going to limit their creativity. And also, 60′s Italian music is not something that alot of bands would try to remake. Usually all of the Artists/Writers/Poets that push the limits and work outside of the box are definately subject to criticism and recieve alot of pointed fingers because it’s so unconventional. Then, when they die they are regarded as heroes. (Jesus, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Johnny Cash)…Whether Mike Patton is a genius or not, he is definately a creative and free artist. It probably wasn’t very nice of Mike Patton to make a comment like that, but at least he’s truthful with his opinion and he’s not “sugar coating” anything. He has always seemed like a straight forward type of guy and in the long run, it might even be better for Wolfmother to hear something like that so it can make them stronger, let them reevaluate their music and maybe even do something creative and unique…Really everyone wins in this situation…I’ve met Mike Patton and he really is a nice guy, just truthful that’s all.

Why does everybody think that Patton and the rest of Faith No More hate each other?
I saw Patton and Rahzel in San Francisco and Billy Gould was there. I talked to Billy and he was selling some of his stuff at the show for his record label. Patton gets along with the band (FNM) still. I asked Billy why everybody thinks the band and Patton don’t get along and he laughed. They still talk all the time.
And, you can’t blame Patton for not wanting to get back with Faith No More. I hate when bands do that. It’s pathetic. Move on for christ’s sake.

You’re a jerk Bruce Wayne, yeah I know who you are. You continue to say that no one cares about Zorn, or the new music patton is making, and you are dissing Ipecac as a whole. Stop being a jerk Bruce. You HAVE to accept that people out there enjoy this music, and everybody doesn’t share your opinion. I think it’s fine that you don’t like it, I don’t think it is fine that you try to tell me and other people that they don’t like it. These bands tour and fans go to the shows, all you do is tour the web for sites so you can cut them and their fans up. So, don’t buy the music if you don’t like it, and please stop telling people they don’t like it when they do.
