Hey Andy why don’t you update us on what the rest of Faith No More’s members are doing? This site is looking like an ad for Patton’s label. Didn’t this start as a Faith No More fan site? Just admit it if it’s now a Patton site. Put it on the top of the homepage if you want.

Also Andy I’m posting here because the best chance of you reading this is on the top topic. You probably don’t bother with the other posts below. When are you gonna get this site fixed? I go to the most rudimentary boards and posts show up simple and no problem. But here you seem to have some filtering system that screws everything up. Why not just remove the filtering system, we’re all adults (or almost). I think you’re running one of those new blog systems which have not matured yet. Use an older sort of system that has been proven on other boards.

If you wanna see FNM news, get a time machine and go back to 1999 when they were still alive. Get with the now…and Patton has a big following in Europe…and i also doubt if patton cares about people showing up…he makes music to make music not to please you…and lastly, this site is good enough as it is, if you had a life away from your computer you wouldn’t waste all your time typing trivial messages to an audience of people who don’t care…

Batman, you’re right about the origin of this web site. After all
Caca Volante = Faith No More + Mr Bungle
so it started as a place with a lot features of these two bands.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depends on the point of view) they split. And despite of the fact that Trey Spruance and Roddy Bottom (I chose these two names randomly) were very important for Bungle and FNM respectively, I think that most of those bands fans were more attracted by Patton, who infact was considered the frontman, than by the rest of the guys playing there.
Plus Patton started a lot of so called “side projects” (I guess nobody knows which project is the main one because Patton doesn’t have, or doesn’t seem to have, a project priority list). This should explain why most of the posts are Patton related.
If you don’t like how the page is going on I think that there more positive ways to show your complaints, than just insulting who wastes part of his spare time to let the page live (Andy) or other users still interested in what it is posted.

Why is it rediculous for you to make your own site? Andy made this one, Heather made Bungle Fever, and many other people have made their own sites. You seem to have all kinds of ideas of how this site should work, so go make it yourself. Make it exactly like you think it should be. And then, when you are too busy with your life to fix or update the site, we will all send you countless messages bitching about your site. I am sure you will love it!!

And, why don’t YOU update us on what the other members of Faith No More are doing!? Somebody has to find the information in order to post it on here. I am sure Andy doesn’t have some kind of magic crystal ball that lets him see what every musician in the world is doing. He does have a connection to Mike Patton, because he does website work for Ipecac. So go find some info on what Roddy is doing, or what Bill Gould has done this week, and post it here for us to read. If you want this site to be better than it currently is, then try contributing something to it, instead of just bitching to Andy and everyone else to do it.

Hi Batman.
1. Yes, I know this site has become somewhat a Mike Patton fan site. The reason is because I just happen to know more about what Patton is doing than anyone else. I set up the site to allow user submitted news in hopes of having more diversity. I would absolutely love to have more news about the other members.
2. The site is set up to moderate comments only if you haven’t been approved in the past. I know I’ve approved your comments in the past, so I don’t know why these comments were moderated. You’ll notice none of your inane comments have been deleted. And as much as I would like to, I can’t just open up the comments without any restrictions right now due to the amount of comment spam I get. Perhaps I will look into some sort of captcha plug-in to allow immediate publishing, but until then, if you have a problem, just email me.

I had adream a few nights ago that I was watching Faith No More live from inside a whales mouth. The stage was the deck of a galleon which was on the whales tongue and me and the pirates were watching from the area just infront of its tongue knee deep in whale saliva. Bizarrely the was a chandeleer hanging down from the roof of the whales mouth as well.
Oh, and it was being filmed for MTV as well.
What does this mean ?

First thing: FNM are my favorite rock band, and I still think the best band Patton played in.
After saying that, I’m not sure that a FNM would be nice. Sometimes these reunions don’t work, it’s not the same thing as the past when the band was living.
Though I’d like Angel Dust part 2,3,4 and so on, I hope they won’t get back together again since I’m afraid we wouldn’t see the same band we all love.
I believe that FNM should rest in peace where they are. They were a great band at those times and their albums are still great now but…
…looking at people offending or insulting other fans just because they don’t like Patton latest efforts (most of which I don’t like very much too) or just because they don’t accept the reality, FNM no longer exist, it’s a bit sad. I think it’s waste of time.
But this is just my opinion.

Well you know after hearing all the bad music from Patton, and I’m not trying to be funny here, I’m serious any new FNM would sound at least good no matter how bad it sounded for an FNM album. The other guys have said they wanted to get back together but Patton didn’t. This means they have ideas after such a long break. I say f*ck Patton, find a good new singer. They had good songs with awful singer Chuck Mosely, they can do it with another singer. Again, it would still be way better than anything Patton has to offer.

The only stuff I do like psot FNM that MP has done is stuff that sounds like he is in FNM still. Even Lovage stuff makes me imgine its FNM and a Jennifer Charles produced by DtA. Tomahwk when he’s in full throw can sound like FNM, proper Fantomas songs, that HBMS track, bits of Peeping Tom, General Patton “songs” would to me fit in a live set. I’m living on a FNM reunion. If they got back with another singer although its FNM songs its not FNM cos he’s became such a integral part of them.

(didn’t bother reading thru the entire litany of text, seems like the usual stab-above-comment-with-another-stab rambling that goes around here :p ) But yeah so someone mentioned this site initially started as a FNM/Bungle site – doesn’t this technically mean that news stuff on Spruance (and why not other members of Bungle) should also be updated around here? I’d especially love to be on track with the on-goings of SC3.
And I’m still strongly in favour of some sort of forum system for the sake of improving the flow of messages – for one thing, there doesn’t seem to be a shortage of potentially active posters =) Nevertheless, props to the host and the contributors of the news stories – one of the few web pages I bother checking in a regular basis.
