Anyone noticed FNM videos are disappearing from YouTube? (terms of use violation)
February 17th, 2007 at 5:40 AM
No but only cos I’ve not been looking.
February 17th, 2007 at 5:52 AM
Yes! BungleWeird, an amazing guy who uploaded lots of rare Patton vids that were hitherto unseen by most fans has had his account suspended for some unknown reason. All his vids went down with him. Sigh. I knew it was too good to last…

it’s probably those damn wolfmother-whores
February 19th, 2007 at 4:51 PM
I set bungleweird’s account as my entry page to youtube, so yeah, I noticed he’d gone rpetty quickly…gawd knows why youtube’ve kicked him off, but it’s not right, I tells ya. the guy had the only known live version of ‘the world is yours’, dammit!
February 19th, 2007 at 6:44 PM
How sad that BungleWeird’s account was deleted. Besides numerous FNM/Bungle videos being deleted, tons of other videos have been too. I guess YouTube’s really cracking down on this ‘copyright infringement’ shit now.
February 20th, 2007 at 2:42 AM
So, in other words, YouTube will be pointless pretty soon.
February 20th, 2007 at 6:10 AM
pretty much. unless you want to watch endless, pointless, self-obsessed video blogs.
February 20th, 2007 at 11:19 AM
AWWww FUCK! NO more Bungleweird?! Sonuvva BITCH! Figures… *sigh* Yea, Portly…I’d done the same thing and I just checked it. Ah hell…now my day is ruined. RUINED I tell you!
February 20th, 2007 at 2:56 PM
Hey, I put this in the other piece of news, but maybe more people are checking this one since it is more recent, there you go:
Hey, Patton is performing in a Spanish festival, Primavera Sound, with “Fennesz”
http://www.primaverasound.com/data/pdf/PS07.pdf
Anyone know something about this guy or/and the colaboration?
February 21st, 2007 at 2:08 AM
fennesz is pretty cool…experimental electronica stuff. I don’t know what they’ll be doing together, but I’m guessing mike will be going wuuuaaaaargghh-chik-chik-purrrrrr-chik-aaaaaaaaagh! in spectacular fashion. they played together in canada last year, I think.
I might well go to this. the melvins are also playing.
February 21st, 2007 at 11:03 AM
Hehehehe…wuuuaaaaargghh-chik-chik-purrrrrr-chik-aaaaaaaaaaaaagh! is right!

this is good news…very good news!
February 22nd, 2007 at 12:14 PM
perhaps you don’t have quick time or java 2 installed on your computer?
February 22nd, 2007 at 12:53 PM
I have quick time, but an older version. my PC won’t accept anything else, as it is made of rocks and eggboxes.
it’s the same on my missus’ laptop though, and she’s all up to date with her tech. never mind. it’s still great news!
February 25th, 2007 at 4:24 PM
I noticed they listed “Tweaker” twice. Maybe the second time was for Patton.
February 26th, 2007 at 8:37 PM
it’s google that f’d up youtube. damn google.
February 27th, 2007 at 6:38 AM

February 27th, 2007 at 6:59 AM
Ok guys here’s a real new one, a big one maybe (it’s a matter of tastes:-).
AngelicA 2007, 17th Internazional Music Festival (may 7 to may 13 + may 24 & 25)
Mike Patton’s “Mondo Cane”
Arrangiaments for italian 50′s and 60′s tunes
special guest: Roy Paci (trumpet)
for voice, band, small chorus, orchestra
Mike Patton: voice
Roy Paci: trumpet
Band (unknown players yet)
Small Chorus (2 male and 2 female voices)
Orchestra Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini
Aldo Sisillo: conductor
An AngelicA , Fondazione Teatro Rossini, Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Modena – Festival l’Altro Suono, Regione Emilia Romagna – Assessorato alla Cultura production
Concerts:
thursday 24 maggio 2007 – 21.00 – Teatro Rossini – Lugo (Ravenna)
(Mike Patton)
“Rearranging these tunes doesn’t mean glorifying the past but it’s a good chance to show how still vital and important those idea are today through a modern and adventurous interpretation” (not a litteral translation)
Last year AngelicA festival curated the Patton & Kang show (the “cantus circaeus” cd will be out this year on Ipecac), so I think we should wait a bit for this one as well.

shit! I broke the board! oops…!
February 27th, 2007 at 10:18 AM
Good work Stefano!
February 27th, 2007 at 1:11 PM
Thanks Omniwan.
Last year I was in Modena for the Patton/Kang exhibition but I didn’t like it very much. I was curious to see how would Patton sound in a “classical scenario”: he was incredibly nervous!
He brought his half liter bottle of water on stage and drank only once: after his first sip he realized that bottle was totally out-of-place on stage:-)
I think this time he will be calmer and relaxed; he used to sing in italian with Bungle sometimes, I guess it could be something like that. We’ll see….

P.S. rumors report re-arrangements of tunes of Mina, Adriano Celentano and Luigi Tenco.
February 27th, 2007 at 7:20 PM
google bought youtube.
February 28th, 2007 at 6:13 AM
Good news Stefano, or Cyril.
Any news on a release date for this project?
February 28th, 2007 at 8:46 AM
Hi Ryan, nope, no news about the cd release of this new project. I guess it will take a while just like the Kang/Patton collaboration which happened last year and still isn’t out.
They might record something during those days…..who knows…I’ll update everyone as soon as I hear news about it.
See ya

hm…….there’s nothing going on here, why’s that!!??
March 8th, 2007 at 5:08 AM
Who knows how to acces bungleweird over dc ++ or torrent, or whatever?
March 12th, 2007 at 10:13 AM
hi, just joined, and this is my observation: the motto “For all things related to Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Fantômas, etc.” is pretty much bullshit, right? shouldn’t that be changed to “for people who only care about the mike patton side of bungle, etc.”? i put this comment in here because apparently this is the only way a person can really contribute without being censored, right? i used to love the cv database but apparently that wasn’t worth the trouble to those who kept it up. i don’t see anything wrong with obsessing over mike patton, but the site should change its motto or start concentrating on secret chiefs 3, etc., as well–how does that band not fall under the umbrella of “all things related to mr. bungle”? why do i fee like i’ve just wasted the past five minutes of my life…?
March 14th, 2007 at 2:28 PM
Probably the motto should be changed to “For all the things related to Faith No More”, simply.
“Caca Volante” has a Faith No More-ish name, and so are its news.
I don’t think there is a Patton Obsession. Is just that Mike is the only FNM member that is still highly active.
The Bill Gould news are posted, indeed.
To put it in short, you are not wasting your time at all.
March 15th, 2007 at 8:11 AM
You´re not the only one deceasedlavy………….there are many others who are constantly losing five minutes of his lives here, i don´t even remember when was the last time Andy came around here to listen to our suggestions.
March 15th, 2007 at 11:00 AM
Why there is no Trey Spruance topic on the site? Trevor is on caca volante, and he isn’t?!? And again who can guide me to bungleweird on torrent or on dc++?
March 19th, 2007 at 11:57 PM
*yawn* Let’s go to Billy Gould’s section, it seems more interesting than here. If anyone really wants FNM to come back you better believe Billy Gould’s the only one to SURELY be in it. Maybe Roddy Bottum, maybe Mike Bordin, but definitely not Patton. I can see them hiring another singer if they were to do it. It might sound like something hard to get used to but you’d have to give someone a chance at least. And I know reunions usually aren’t successful but look at Pearl Jam, they came back with a good album after many years of some bad albums, so there is hope.
March 22nd, 2007 at 8:08 AM
FNM should reform without Patton, maybe Mosely, or Robbie Williams, or even Axl Rose. I know a few people on this site would like that.
For the rest of us who don’t have our heads planted firmly up their arses, yes, there should be more news related to members of Bungle. Caca Volante is closer in name to Disco Volante (best. album. ever) than anything FNM related anyway.

Maybe the owners of the site hate Mr Bungle.

axl rose can’t sing FNM songs, totally different style.
March 26th, 2007 at 2:29 AM
Trey Spruance? Nele dont even trip.
March 27th, 2007 at 2:32 PM
This is my first post after watching you assholes whinge about meaningless shit for too long….
Why is it no one has even mentioned in this subject post the obvious nature of Patton actually being influenced HUGELY by FOETUS.
I mean mix a little Yamtaka Eye….a dash of Fishbone…ad some JG THirwell and you got Mike Patton.
I’m not discounting the mans talent. Only the fact you morons seem content to rave on and on about stuff you cant change rather than discuss the good stuff…
Couldnt stay quiet anymore…..
March 27th, 2007 at 2:35 PM
Or maybe its just too obvious….
Not to mention the ‘Roli Mosiman’ ‘JG Thirwell’ connection from the 80′s
Its funny Pattons distorted ‘Buzzsaw’ vocal emerged around this time. Kinda the same as JG’s vocal sound that Roli designed……
But FNM worked with Mosiman because of the Young Gods connection right?….
March 27th, 2007 at 11:57 PM
Why shouldn’t I trip, Nimmo?
October 4th, 2007 at 7:39 AM
Thirwell is great i’d love a whole album collaboration tho mike Patton it the best vocalist for me thirwells music and pattons voice should be great almost as good as pattons music and pattons vocal with pattons beautiful face.
