The show was what I expected, it was more like mike patton solo, or the stuff he did with moonraker/ together with lombardo and dj spooky/ hemophiliac

well it's probably a different thing live, and with improv you're gonna get good shows and bad shows but so far all the patton/fennesz stuff i've seen on youtube isn't exactly ringing my bell.
like you say, to each his own but i just got quite bored with it and went off to watch the PT henry rollins slot instead

3 encores? then i missed the last one because I saw only 2. And 3 encores or not, the whole thing lasted less then 1 hour (including the 2 encores). There were a lot of people walking away. But like you said, to each his own

Obviously, this kind of electronic/experimental/noise music is not your cup of tea, Peter. That's okay. I figured from the huge crowd that there must have been quite some people who came to see Patton and expected something different. I could tell also from the comments that I heard around me ("Do you think it'll be like this the whole time?"). I'm a fan of Fennesz and Patton's solo work. For me the show was amazing! Mike didn't seem uninspired at all. It was great to see him working with the mic and creating noise with his equipment. His comment about "nothing else going on in town" was obviously tongue-in-cheek and playing it down what they were doing. Despite some people leaving the venue (not that much, I expected more judging from the people who seemed out of place), the crowd went crazy in the end. Three encores! After the second encore, the crowd (including myself) kept screaming for more for 15-20 minutes. They had to turn off the "after-show" venue music again, so Fennesz and Mike could come on stage again. They were visibly excited about the response. So, all-in-all a great night with a excellent performance from both!

Okay i just came back from the Patton & Fennesz show and i was disappointed. It might be the most boring show i have seen of mike, even though it lasted last then 60 minutes

In short, Mike and the guy on the right with his cool-apple-laptop, were painting a wall of music with a bit of screaming here and sound effect there. The concert started one hour late, which i hate. It should have started 20.30 but both of them didnt come onstage until 21.30. Then they just put up this wall of noise with some screaming and sound effects until 22.10 when Mike said "goodbye, thanks for listening". They came back quickly for 2 encores which all sounded the same. Mike didnt seem to inspired. He hid behind his table most of the time. The only fun thing was when Mike said: "Boy if you come to a show like this, there must be really nothing going on in your town. That's all I can say about it". And he was right. That was the only words to the crowd btw. Too bad, I have seen Mike improvising before with Rahzel and that show might have been the best i have seen. This one was just boring. Sorry

Cool!!, i got it on p2p, and yes, i noticed that there are songs wich have same names, my favorite was "ghost dance", sounds melodic and fun, gotta listen more to it cuz am still diggin the album, but i gotta say my first impresions were quite good, it is an interesting work, and i would rather compare it with SC3´s work than fantomas, and i like SC3 pretty much so this was a reaaly good experience....wanna buy the CD already...Bring it on Tomahawk!!

thx anyway man..

Go to the topic "New Tomahawk bio" in caca volante.
Some guy called "da bear" posted a coment (the 11th) with a rapidshare link to a 77 MB zip file with the album at 256kb/s, mp3.
Be careful, some track names are wrong.
Track 8: "Omaha Dance" is OK.
Track 9: "Omaha Dance" should be "Sun dance".
Track 10: "Sun Dance" should be "Mescal Rite 2".
Track 11: "Mescal Rite 2" should be "Totem".
Mis favoritas son "Mescal Rite 1" y "Sun Dance".
