Peeping Tom on Henry Rollins Show this Friday, June 1st @11:00pm on IFC
Show synopsis:
In this week’s Teeing Off, Henry examines how our nation’s leaders took advantage of our ignorance about the Middle East’s religion and culture in order to con us into the Iraq War. William Shatner sits down to reflect on a long, successful career and remember one of his most challenging roles under the direction of infamous director Roger Corman. In another edition of the animated “Drawing Conclusions”, Henry wonders at the animal world’s most skittish member—the impala. Then, Peeping Tom featuring former Faith No More lead singer Mike Patton performs “Mojo” off their self-titled album Peeping Tom also performs the song “We’re Not Alone” exclusively on IFC.com.
Interview with Patton and “We’re Not Alone” video available for viewing on Henry’s IFC site:

Good performance of “Were Not Alone”,wish they were playing something else other than “Mojo” but hey, beggars cant be choosers.Does Peeping Tom have something new coming out or this just a one time thing for Rollins?Seems like this would be Tomahawk promotion time….p.s. anybody notice the Joker (from new Batman movie)has a striking resemblance to the Mr Bungle clown?

June 4th, 2007 at 4:42 AM
Just read it and it made me laugh - that’s why I wouldn’t go to one of those things cos to me its noise and scream whereas others see “art”
Each to their own.

“I posted a review of the Patton and Fennesz show in one of the other subjects for those interested”

June 7th, 2007 at 4:17 AM
Does anyone knows about P.Tom European tour? It seems that they will be on http://www.frequency.at festival. I want to find some confirmation and maybe list of other performances in Europe…?
June 7th, 2007 at 4:56 PM
Copy and paste. Patton mentioned in a Norah Jones interview.

Just to let everyone know about the whole Kevin being fired from tomahawk situation. Someone left a comment on the mike patton and fennesz saying he was fired cause he was taking loads of drugs and went crazy thats bullshit. I emailed him and he claims they just started recording the album without even telling him.
June 8th, 2007 at 11:31 AM
JESUS CHRIST, look at this
Mike Patton Mondo Cane L’Urlo Negro

This is how I like Mike best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 9th, 2007 at 3:27 AM
That’s Mike Patton on crack. He’s been taking it for many years now. But I also hear in that car accident he hit his head hard and had been planning to release all this noise ever since.
June 9th, 2007 at 3:40 AM
I wonder if anybody he knew during the FNM years dig this noise. Like what have Billy, Roddy, and Mike Bordin said about it? I think everyone he ever knew abondoned him because of the crazy noise. Even his wife probably left him for it. She was probaly like “how the hell do you expect to make any money with this?”. “I want a bigger house and we’ll never have one if you keep making this crap!”. He also wanted to keep touring all the time making this noise so she left him. Does anyone even know if he had a child? He had to find all new friends to try this sh*t out. Kinda sad really the way he went. It’s like going senile or getting alzheimers. A total change in the person.
June 9th, 2007 at 6:56 AM
I’ll take peeping tom over that…lol.
June 9th, 2007 at 8:29 AM
Who gets this Henry Rollins show anyway, never heard of it. What channel is it on? Anyway I’m betting Patton had to suck his c*ck to get on the show.
June 9th, 2007 at 1:25 PM
The Henry Rollins Show is pretty good. It’s on the Independent Film Channel…You should check it out…
I guess Rollins owed a favor to Patton, because he sang (for free I suppose) on the West Memphis 3 benefit CD “Rise above”. Rollins praised Patton voice on his blog last year, but he hasn’t played any Patton music in his radio show, even tough he plays a wide variety of good music….I guess he’s not much of a fan….
June 10th, 2007 at 2:44 AM
All these Mundo Cane vids are simply brilliant.
These shows are well worth travelling to Italy for.
I can just pray to god that once, he will do this again.
Long live King Mike

New interview with the man, but not precisely about music, check it out….

You’re a Fuckhead ‘I’m Batman’
June 11th, 2007 at 9:40 PM
late 2008?!! aww man, that must be the first time ever a peeping tom release date got pushed back!
June 12th, 2007 at 12:10 PM
Oh yes that Mundo Cane, great stuff.
I particularly like the sweeping chorus part.
Guess I’m a Fuckhead too right?
June 13th, 2007 at 12:00 AM
@planetmaker: you mean in the song 20km al giorno?
June 13th, 2007 at 11:21 AM
As ever with Patton, even the shit sparkles-great chorus-but when you think of what he COULD be bringing out,you have to wonder if he’s really just making life difficult for himself,I mean compare this to WNA on Rollins,no contest..
June 13th, 2007 at 12:06 PM
Wel said Shane spot on.
Peter - it could have been anything he does that sounds to me like screaming, bit more screaming, quiet, bit of sceaming, full on load noise and screaming. The just seems no point to it unlike say on KFAD.
I hope you realise I was taking the piss?
June 14th, 2007 at 10:49 PM
The Mondo Cane videos are simply magnificent. I regret that I spent so much time working in Italia but never managed to go up to Modena to attend it. I totally agree with MP’s passion for 60’s italian pop, which although sounding as much as 60’s pop from other european countries (southern but not only), has a certain something that makes it special.
June 17th, 2007 at 8:27 PM
Patton is doing a signing this Thursday 4:00@ JB HI-FI Townhall Sydney…Australia. Get There!
June 17th, 2007 at 8:31 PM

Sounds like he was fired….
June 28th, 2007 at 12:14 AM
Peeping Tom played ‘Get Up Punk’ in Melbourne
June 29th, 2007 at 5:34 AM
‘Anonymous’ is the pooches testes. A tad strange and otherworldy a first (what project of Pattons isn’t?) but a surefire grower. I hope they tour with this one. Need to find a bass player first. Maybe Anthony Keidis, with all his psuedo Native Indian tattoos mystical nonsense, might let them borrow Flea!
June 29th, 2007 at 2:47 PM
I’m there too, starting to appreciate how layered the album actually is.Was a bit sceptical about Patton recording the lyrics away from the rest of the guys a la Album of the year, but hes got something here..As for Kiedis helping Mike,I wouldn’t hold your breath, after all thats gone on over the years between those two,Hell will sooner freeze over!
July 3rd, 2007 at 10:14 PM
Yep, liking Anonymous too - only bought it yesterday so gotta give it some time.
Kevin got sacked from Melvins too, maybe he’s a pain! - If they’re gonna tour this album it could be a job for the main man Trevor D
July 4th, 2007 at 1:30 PM
What was the whole deal with Patton and the Bungle boys, was it a bad fall out from California? They had just made their best album and lt all stopped suddenly..
July 5th, 2007 at 7:30 PM
It’s been suggested that Patton and Trey fell out, or never really got on. That’s possibly one of the reasons. Patton was quoted saying something about petty jealousy but didn’t mention any names. Big shame, your right -California is a masterpiece - every track a winner.
Just listened all the way through new Tomahawk album in the car - it’s definitely a grower. Track 8 - Omaha is my fave, hints of Ennio Morricone in there and even BowWowWow - remember them?
July 6th, 2007 at 5:36 AM
Like the Morricone influence there, and agree. Its definitely an ambitious undertaking,I’m big on Cradle Song with the Capt. Midnight-esque guitar, very atmospheric. As for Bow wow wow,did they do “Happy Birthday”??I remember NME doing a piece on Patton with him on a throne plugging KFAD and the headline was Bowel wow wow,Patton gets on the throne. He was talking bout shit eating and they swallowd the lot..as it were
July 6th, 2007 at 7:55 AM
Well it’s all been there since noone knew what the cunt was going on with ‘Another Body Murdered’.
July 6th, 2007 at 12:22 PM
he does seemed to have calmed down a bit, maybe marriage to Titi has cooled his jets?I blame that bint for all that Mondo Cane guff anyway..
July 6th, 2007 at 8:47 PM
Happy Birthday was by Altered Images (terrible) BowWowWow were super cool although they did have one thing in common - an annoying female singer, but musically they were great and well worth checking out.
July 9th, 2007 at 9:40 AM
More of a Depeche Mode guy myself but will do that.Annoying female singers in the 80’s,well where do u start?Yazz,Alison Moyet,Mel and Kim…
July 10th, 2007 at 2:21 PM
Pepsi & Shirley, Sonia, Sinitta I could go on…
However Samantha Fox will always have a special place in my heart.
And my dick.
July 10th, 2007 at 5:19 PM
…. and that chick that did Summer Time Love, Sabrina or something lol - apparently they were natural!
July 11th, 2007 at 12:27 PM
Ahhh yes.. agreed.
A great pair of tits.
I remember pausing the video when her nips popped out on Top of the Pops. Many, many times!
However at the time Wendy James was the one who got my hormones raging the most.
The little scrubber!!!
July 11th, 2007 at 12:39 PM
I totally agree,Transvision Vamp’s Baby I don’t care saw Wendy at her dirtbag best,”I know you want me,sometimes it hurts”Twas as if she could read my mind..as for the whole Sabrina/Sam Fox,I reckon they’re all winners in the funbag race!Jesus do you remember that scouse welder’s bench Sonia too?Man,Patton didn’t arrive soon enough with the Real Thing!!
July 12th, 2007 at 4:52 AM
Not a big fan of The Real Thing - it took Angel Dust to get me out of listening to Simple Minds!
July 12th, 2007 at 6:22 AM
Yeah,a lot of my mates were into SM as well, never did it for me,back in the days when Patsy Kensit was still hot and not doing Emmerdale!
July 12th, 2007 at 11:52 AM
Never done it for me I’m afraid…
Best bird of the 80’s for me was one of Timmy Mallet’s dancers on “Itsy Bitsy Yellow Polka Dot Bikini”. Don’t know who she was but I loved her!
Oh my god getting a bit bizarre now!
Hey just thought of another - Cathy Dennis!!
July 13th, 2007 at 7:44 AM
Now we’re trawaling the memory banks but I’m glad to say I remember young Dennis, brunette sweet as a nut, made her name as a backing singer and went solo only to crash and burn..
As for Mallet, remember the vid but was probably watching it thru a red mist cos I hated that twat so much!!
What about Martika, was a big fan, dark and sultry, good for what ails ya!
July 13th, 2007 at 9:46 PM
Toy Soldiers right? much better than Tiffany.
I think Cathy Dennis went on to write songs for other people like Kylie.
I met one of the chicks from Bananarama once! The taller one that wasn’t as fit tho.
July 14th, 2007 at 4:53 AM
No way!I used to love Siobhan Fahey but she went loopy on the whole Shakespeare’s Sister thing, too much make up and such, the small brunette was a cracker as well.
As for Tiffany,I can’t think of her without thinking of Cape fear!
Didn’t she have a comeback last year?
July 14th, 2007 at 1:27 PM
Karen the brunette was the really tasty one in Bananarama. But the silly cow married Andrew Ridgley didn’t she?
Debbie Gibson won over Tiffany in my book - there seemed a bit of a Oasis v Blur type thing going on with them two!
And yes Cathy Dennis does write for Kylie. Well, “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” anyway…
July 15th, 2007 at 10:08 AM
Well i never knew that, bizzare.Mind you, that bird from the 4 non blondes writes all pink’s stuff doesn’t she?
Debbie Gibson..all I can see are gnashers,am I right?
July 15th, 2007 at 12:48 PM
Hmmm..she did have a fine set of pearly whites I think. Would have needed them for video’s like “Shake Your Love”!
July 18th, 2007 at 7:26 AM
Don’t remember that one I’m afraid, still thinking of that dancer from the mallet video, that was real leftfield shit right there!
July 20th, 2007 at 4:16 AM
Did a search and though I didn’t find any pics found this info!
“For this we had a massive pink cadillac, seven little girls including Dawn (now Mrs gary Barlow), Lisa Brash (dated Robbie Williams), Annie Dunkley (later Thelma in the Peugot ads) and Natalie (starred in Cold Feet)”
July 21st, 2007 at 5:59 PM
hey does anyone know where to download the Rollins performance?
July 23rd, 2007 at 6:47 AM
They pulled the itsy bitsy vid from you tube, the nazis! No luck with pics this end but I think Brash’s probably the one, sounds like a right slapper too…
July 24th, 2007 at 4:34 AM
- forgot to mention they were sisters Dawn and Anne Dunkley.
The search goes on. It was the performance on ToTP that got me hooked!!!
August 15th, 2007 at 7:40 PM
The HRS S02E08 is available on demonoid with the Mojo performance.
Youtube is cool but wich american got Replay Media Catcher to rip those original vidz ??????
