Bizarre Mash Up-Stripsearch meets Im A Flirt
I don’t know if this is the best or the worst thing I’ve heard recently, but Claude Reigns has done a mash up of two artists reknowned for pissing on their fans, albeit in different contexts.
Its R. Kelly’s summer smash “Im a Flirt” mixed with Faith No More’s lost classic “Stripsearch”.
It’s strangely compelling!

“It’s strangely compelling!”
No it’s not!
These mash ups are shit 99.9% of the time and this is no different.
Most of it is just the two tracks played at the same time with hardly any mixing involved. I think there are some moments that work well but I wouldn’t want to hear it again.
October 22nd, 2007 at 3:38 PM
yeah it’s poorly done bs
October 22nd, 2007 at 4:57 PM
It almost made me never want to hear Stripsearch again.
October 23rd, 2007 at 9:21 AM
This is absolute rubbish! But, the Killing Joke Mash up on the site is even worse.
October 24th, 2007 at 7:04 AM
IT MADE ME NEVER WANNA HEAR R KELLY AGAIN HAHAHAHAHA
October 24th, 2007 at 12:13 PM
I’ve heard better mixes in my toilet.
Total crap. FNM rules. R Kelly sux.

OK, this has nothing to do with this topic but I have to ask…
I was looking at Faith No More’s Wikipedia page and if you click on the picture of them, it says about 4 things regarding the image, one of them being this:
Since two members of the band are now deceased, it is not possible to replace the image with a new free alternative.
WHO THE HELL DIED IN FAITH NO MORE!?!? Are they referring to people like Wade Worthington and Mark Bowen or something like that? Am I just reading the sentence wrong?
By the way, this remix sucks.
October 25th, 2007 at 12:30 PM
Weird!
Both Mark and Wade seem alive and well according to the main page…..

i think its clever.
the middle loses its flavor- and much more could have been done with this. perhaps more singing from patton? some parts seem forced. the mix is too high in spots- like gould’s bass- overpowering.

I just thought i”d post this here as I could not find a way to contact CV. Just wanted to say that the death metal band Aborted have a cover of Surprise Your Dead on their latest album, Slaughter & Apperatus. I really reccomend it!

November 8th, 2007 at 2:46 AM
Really? I have the album but didn’t notice him.
If that’s him, he’s a rude man. And she’s a rude lady. But we knew that.
Good album though…
November 9th, 2007 at 11:04 PM

December 3rd, 2007 at 7:24 PM
Man, it sucks this site is pretty much dead all the time
December 4th, 2007 at 6:20 AM
Did anyone hear that Mike Patton is doing the voices for I Am Legend? It makes up for Mr Wiki Wiki Wild Wild West somehow being cast in the lead role. It’ll be interesting.
December 4th, 2007 at 12:07 PM
yea they talk it about it at ipecac.com
December 18th, 2007 at 6:04 PM
Damn the other day I saw Chuck Woolery pitching socks for a company on one of the home shopping shows. Man that guy must need some money real bad. No shame. I was embarassed for him. I hear Mike Patton’s up next, except it’ll be pitching underwear. Looks like he’s made some bad investments with that Ipecac company. He’s come a long way baby. lol

Anyone play Rock Band? It’s cool with the drums. They have Epic on there. Every month they’re coming out with a few extra songs to download (for a fee). I hope they offer some Angel Dust songs, I’d like to play Midlife Crisis with the drums.
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:46 AM
I thought new songs were coming out every week…
and yeah I play Rock Band and other stuff on xbox live, gamertag is kevin4degrees

Does the people behind this site have any connection with the cv ftp server (guess so), If that’s the case, how come it’s down/offline? Very sad too see this site being quite inactive as well, but oh well things can’t last forever.
January 8th, 2008 at 1:19 PM
Anyone seen I am Legend yet to check out Mike’s voice overs?
January 16th, 2008 at 6:09 AM
Yeah I saw it off a really good torrent, there were lots of zombie people screaming so I guess that was him.
I could say that he got the power just right and that the pitch of his howling oscilated between brooding and a psycotic all out aural assault.
But whats the point ?
It was just screaming.
Anyone could have done it.
Didn’t rate the film anyway mainly because the ending was such a massive let down.
January 16th, 2008 at 9:27 AM
but it wasn’t just ANYONE that did it. dont be a jerk
January 16th, 2008 at 12:58 PM
Best thing about the film was that goddamn gorgeous dawg. Actually, I’m being slightly unfair, Will Smith’s portrayal of a man’s descent into isolation-induced psychosis is noteworthy.
What’s the latest on Patton? This is a link from the Ipecac site:-

January 17th, 2008 at 11:40 AM
4degrees, why am I being a jerk?
What do you want people to say?
“What an excellent screamer” ?
“He made the zombies so believable” ?
January 17th, 2008 at 2:05 PM
yeah, i think patton did an excellent job. nobody screams like him. and you would know that from his solo albums.
btw a little update: Patton & Christian Fennesz are playing in Oslo 02.27..
January 17th, 2008 at 3:41 PM
He screams on lots of albums and yes it’s great and works well with the songs but it isn’t to music it is just screaming.
You can’t say nobody else could have done it
January 17th, 2008 at 3:58 PM
You know who’s an amazing screamer? Karen Allen. That part in the first Indiana Jones when the snake comes out of the skeleton’s mouth…holy shit. Unless it was overdubbed but still…whoever it was…amazing scream.
January 19th, 2008 at 4:02 AM
Yes now that was professional, vastly underated, she certainly deserved more recognition for screaming in my opinion
People just don’t realise how you must attcheive the correct pitch of the scream with pinpoint accuracy in order for it to be realistic.
Any old “whooaarrrghgh” just won’t do!
January 23rd, 2008 at 6:34 AM
yeah, i agree with you. but you must also admit patton can throw his pitch anywhere. and i don’t think his job was to make it realistic(then he would probably do it, right?), but to throw his voice around, scratching the inside of our ears, and somehow magically make our subconscious mind scared. sure worked for me..
January 23rd, 2008 at 3:17 PM
nah, sorry, I’m having none of it
February 7th, 2008 at 6:56 AM
