Was watching the Eurovision song contest last night – during the interval they had a local Serbian performance on and some parts of the song were exactly the same as track five on California (cant remember the name). obviously this is was an old serbian tune, but was just weird hearing exactly the same harmonies and changes in it….

@the secret chief
this is something that Bungle fans from Serbia know very well and Ars Moriendi was also very fun surprise among us when Californa came out. Mike an Trey are listening (doubtless) eastern european music and they always talk about such bands in their interviews. Bungle (and SC3) simply mixed eastern european and turkish folk music which is very popular in countries like Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania etc.

Hi InF3NO, I posted a link to Crudo’s myspace in the story below this one. It has one song on it. It’s a project with Dan the Automator, Butterscotch and Mike Patton. From this song it sounds like a more overly hip-hop Peeping Tom but I’ve also heard that some of it resembles Lovage.

That’s no trouble at all. I didn’t like it at first but it’s kinda growing on me now. I heard a rumour that Melvins & Mike Patton will be curating a All Tomorrow’s Party event soon, but again it’s just a rumour.

It’s not just a rumor! Patton and the Melvins are confirmed and will be curating the shows. However, that’s the only real confirmation so far. The ATP people jumped the gun and announced a full line-up, but the bands are still being worked on and are not 100% confirmed.
