Sorry, guys, if this is a little off topic but I am a HUGE fan of both Mike Patton and Christopher Nolan. I just saw The Dark Knight on Saturday and (stop reading this if you don’t want to see kind of a spoiler) I can’t help but ask the question: does anyone else think that Mike Patton would be an awesome choice to play The Joker in the 3rd Batman movie by Christopher Nolan? Think about it… he’s got all those clown references from Bungle’s first album (the first on WB Records anyway), he’s got experience acting like a psycho in Firecracker, he’s high energy, got an awesome speaking voice… I mean don’t get me wrong; I don’t think he’s going to be as great as Ledger but Ledger’s gone. Patton has an attraction to the sick and I do believe the Joker character is pretty much the essence of that.

Maybe my wires are just crossed tonight and I’ll look at this tomorrow thinking about how dumb I sound.

    Thanks for the track Darren.

Mike, I’ve not seen the movie yet but he sounds in the right moud!
Anyway who would play MIKE in a film?

    I reckon Jake Gyllenhaal

  4. Heath Ledger Says:

I’m not gone, Mike Patton and I are recording an album of weird choking noises in hotel rooms.

Hi, ive got an off-topic question but since this is the latest post,, perhaps more people would see this:
It’s about A Perfect Twist lyrics:

website 1 -> I’ll bend you over my knee..
website 2 ->Now bend you over my knee..

I think it’s the first one.

    website 1 ->And I’ll turn the voltage (?) up a little higher
website 2 ->And now turnin up the oven a little higher

I think it’s the second one, but not sure.

website 1 -> And the mob is on the horizon / burn you at the stake
website 2 -> And now morn is on the horizon / burnt you at the stake

Again, I think it’s the second one, but not sure.

Can someone help me find the real lyrics please?
    Thanks :D

  11. Andy Says:

Website 1 is correct on each of these.

Rumors of an FNM reunion from thegauntlet.com…my brother also heard it discussed this AM on the radio in Boston, although I would assume they were just reporting on the Gauntlet story. Here’s what it says:

At this point the rumors are just mesmerizing, confusing fragments – not unlike their music – but Faith No More may be set for a reunion some time next year.

Several UK venues have been placed on hold for a tour in the spring, according to Kerrang! magazine, with unnamed festivals also trying to schedule appearances by the band.

Mike Patton’s seminal metal band haven’t performed together since 1998. The break-up wasn’t particularly amicable, either – even in 1987, Melody Maker was describing the band-members’ relationships in terms of “pathological hatred”.

Bassist Billy Gould played down the reunion speculation. “If anything like this were to happen, it would have to come from the band, and I haven’t spoken with any of them in over a year,” he told Kerrang! “So as far as I know, there isn’t anything to talk about, and I’m pretty sure that if you were to contact Patton, he would tell you the same thing.”

Patton already seems pretty busy – collaborations with John Zorn, Massive Attack and Dan the Automator have all been reported. But though the singer had long opposed a Faith No More reunion, his stance seemed to have softened when he spoke to Artisan News Service in January. “I wouldn’t rule it out,” he said then. “I don’t think we need to reform the band, but maybe there’s other things we could do together.”

“I don’t think we need to reform the band,” may now have transformed into, “I think we need to reform the band.” Someone just needs to put in a call to Billy Gould.

wow this song fucking sucks!! pretentious bullshit or what?? at times Patton sounds like that ABBA singer. lol

Patton can go fuck himself.. i wouldn’t want to see a reunion of faith no more with him on vocals after the many years of utter trash that he’s been releasing. The album “king for a day fool for a lifetime” had a symbolic name that, in my opinion, ironically reflects upon Patton in the grand scheme of things…

put Mosley on vocals for the reunion god damn it!! …. bring back Jim the legend!…..and slap the guitar outta Roddy’s hands and send him to his KORG!. now that would be something.
