I took over the mailing list more than a decade ago and some would say that I’ve kept it running far longer than was needed. I tend to agree. With the advent of blogs, Twitter, etc., the mailing list is no longer relavant and doesn’t serve the purpose it once did. So after more than 15 years, the time has come to shut it down for good. Thanks to everyone that subscribed and contributed during its long run.

I’d also like to send a special thanks to Hal Turner and Marc Schoenen for starting the mailing list back in November of 1994 and Dean Berry for keeping it going from 1996 to 1999.

Twitter has been around for over two years, but it seems to have reached critical mass recently.

Billy Gould (@mrgould) started using it to communicate about the Faith No More reunion. Then Roddy Bottom (@roddybottom) joined. Even Chuck Mosley (@chuckmosley) has an account now. With the launch of the new website, Ipecac Recordings (@ipecacrec) is now on Twitter as well.

I often come across things of interest, but don’t get around to posting them until it’s old news or I’ve forgotten about them entirely. So, with the recent popularity of Twitter, I realized that I can send out tweets much more frequently and more timely than I can update this site. So for fresh content, follow @CacaVolante on Twitter.
